What an amazing place to stay! You step back in time. The house looks full of history and has a small garden and outdoor tub! Koji and Eri are great hosts, friendly, responsive and welcoming. They have a lot of recommendations about the area. Just keep in mind that there are steep steps to the second floor and also if you’re very tall there is a possibility of head bumping :) The area itself is very convenient and we walked to many places of interest. Can recommend this property to any adventurous traveler!

Great location! Nishiki market was a 2 minute walk. Family mart was just around the corner. Everything was close and convenient. We love the free refreshments and some nice gifts when we arrived. We love it so much we’re already planning my next trip. LOL

Place is very spacious, very clean and good air conditioner. Very comfortable bedding. Shower is plenty big. If you are 6ft or over you’ll need to occasionally duck but tat all over Japan. It’s definitely not a problem. Way better than staying in a hotel as I could sneak downstairs as I am always up before my family and could get work done before activities. Cabs and Ubers go right by, 7-11 is baseball throw away and an excellent I Indian restaurant on the corner. If you have a kid who wants McDonald’s it’s right there too. You’ll have to take a cab or Uber unless you want to walk 20 minutes to things but as I said they are readily available and only cost $10. Highly recommend super spacious and I felt a much better option for us than a small hotel room. Also it had a good washer for clothes.

Mayumi was very helpful and sweet with the entire process, including answering all the questions I had! Location was perfect with convenience stores nearby, along with great restaurants and a park for the kids. The house was beautiful and just like the pictures. AC in each room was nice and great amenities too! Perfect for large family 11/10 recommend !!

사진과 똑같은 아주아주 깨끗한 일본식 복층 주택입니다. 호스트님은 친절하고 메시지 응답도 아주 빠릅니다. 그리고 숙소 이곳저곳에 이용자를 배려하는 요소가 많이 있어 감동이었습니다. 2층에는 독립된 방이 세개나 있고, 1층도 편히 잘 수 있는 다다미가 있습니다. 잘 수 있는 곳에는 모두 에어컨이 있다는 점도 아주 좋았고, 주방에 많은 식기들과 와인잔, 조미료도 구비되어 있어서 또한 좋았습니다. 그리고 이 곳에 묶을 예정이신 분들은 아침일찍 동네를 꼭 산책해보세요. 조용하고 예쁜 골목들과 기찻길, 그리고 도보로 7분 거리의 대나무숲까지.. 완벽합니다. 매우 만족한 최고의 숙소였습니다. 단점은 말할것이 거의 없지만, 한가지 말하자면 숙소로 들어오는 골목이 좁은편입니다. 저는 도요타의 복시(7인승) 차량을 가지고 갔는데, 숙소앞에 주차할때는 동료들의 도움을 받아서 그나마 수월하게 주차할 수 있었습니다. 차량이 도요타 복시보다 더 크다면 일본에서의 운전을 꽤 잘하는 분이거나, 호스트님이 제공하는 두번째 주차장을 이용하시는 것이 나을 것 같습니다. 이번에는 직장 동료들과 같지만, 다음에 가족들과 또 방문하고 싶은 숙소였습니다.

Amazing stay here in Kyoto. We were in a lovely neighborhood that felt like we were living there. The space was clean and tidy and had all the amenities we needed. Highly recommended!

We had a good stay. Mineral noise since it was in a residential area. Walkable to public transit and Nishiki Market. AC was very good. Washer and dryer worked well for small loads.

Totally recommend staying here. It’s at a great location. Right in front of a 711 and right next to a really good restaurant. Mio is a very nice person. Thank you for the stay we loved it

Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Location gives fantastic access to the city through the Green Line (Karasuma). Easy to access from Kyoto Station shinkansen. Less than ten minute walk to the Aeon Mall. All facilities in working order. The washing machine is very useful in extending the usefulness of your carried clothing.

We loved our stay at Yamano’s place. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet, but it was just a short walk to the river, bus stop, and train station. The hosts were extremely responsive and kind. They met us at check in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They also sent suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage. The house was very clean and spacious. For us, the best part was the location. It truly felt like we were locals living in the community where Cozy Cottage is located. All of the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time, and the stay definitely made our time in Kyoto extra special. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a bit of a slower pace in Kyoto.

This house is lovely awesome and perfectly clean. Our stay was wonderful and more worth the price. The private onsen inside the tiny Japanese garden is beautiful. The location is very quiet, near the river and less 5 minutes by walk from the station and konbini. Everything you need is provided inside the house, so you don’t have to worry about

One of most special Airbnb i've stayed. two adjoining parts—one a lovingly kept 100-year-old beauty, the other a slick, modern build—linked by a garden walkway. Inside, the highlight is a dramatic lounge filled with antique pieces and original details, while on the living side, the shower room is enormous. The setting is a calm, local neighborhood with easy bus and train access, and the host is unfailingly friendly and quick to respond.

Natalie on hyvin vieraista huolehtiva, erittäin ystävällinen ja avulias. Oli mukava tavata Natalie ja välittyi tunne, että hän todella välitti siitä että viihdyimme mahdollisimman hyvin. Asunto on erittäin siisti ja esteettisesti sisustettu paikalliseen tyyliin, todella miellyttävä ja ihania yksityiskohtia sisustuksessa. 4-henkiselle perheelle tilaa oli mukavasti ja kaikille oli mukavat sängyt. Asunnosta löytyy tarpeellinen varustelu ja jopa kaksi modernia pyykinpesukonetta, muutenkin varustelu oli laadukasta. Lähin juna-asema on lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä ja asunnolta on helppo kulkea niin kävellen kuin julkisilla kulkuvälineillä. Vielä plussana rauhallisuus, alueella ei ole meteliä ja öisin oli aivan hiljaista. Viihdyimme 5 yötä ja tämä oli hyvä valinta, oli helppoa tehdä päiväretkiä Hiroshimaan ja Naraan ja eri puolille Kiotoa ja palata mukavaan asuntoon illaksi. Kiitos Natalie ja voimme todella suositella tätä kohdetta.

Worth it!

This is a great place and it's in a good central location in Kyoto. I loved that it was across from the Imaya Coffee shop - a great place to start the day a few steps away! Bedroom was very comfortable and the house had everything we needed. I would recommend it to anyone staying in Kyoto.

Fusako‘s Wohnung war das Highlight meiner gesamten Japan-Reise. Ein riesiger Wohnbereich mit angeschlossener großer Küche, ein weiteres Wohnzimmer mit Balkon, ein japanisches Esszimmer und ein separates Schlafzimmer sowie ein geräumiges Badezimmer und ein getrenntes WC wären selbst für europäische Verhältnisse luxuriös: für Japan war die Wohnung sensationell. Darüber hinaus ist sie sehr zentral und zudem strategisch günstig am Rande des Gion-Viertels gelegen. Leise und lichtdurchflutet, mit flatscreens und AC in allen Zimmern und Annehmlichkeiten, wie einem eigenen Massage-Sessel lässt die Wohnung keinerlei Wünsche offen. Dazu kommt, dass Fusako die ideale Gastgeberin war: schnell und hilfreich in der Kommunikation, gleichzeitig diskret und mit Respekt für die Privatsphäre: einfach perfekt! Wenn ich wieder nach Japan komme, werde ich versuchen, Monate im Voraus zu buchen!

Beautiful. Felt at home

We spent 8 nights in Osaka, and Tony's place was perfect. Nakatsu station is ~5 minutes from the house, and you can get anywhere from there. Tony was phenomenal, meeting us when we arrived, showing us how everything operated at his place, and then taking us to the train station on our departure day. Tony is great and his place is great. I could not imagine staying anywhere else now. Phenomenal host. Honestly, the best we've ever had, and we've had great hosts. Book now!

We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked longer. Very nice and peaceful location. Train station is about a 20 minute walk or there’s plenty of bus routes they provided information about. The house is really spacious. Definitely worth the money. Will return if I come back to Kyoto!
