Twin Room Near Arashiyma Hotspring

JessRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This place is just perfect for a trip away from Kyoto! The hostel is so tidy and clean and comfy. We received an immediate message upon booking to confirm our plans with check-in details. The staff were very sweet, helpful, and friendly and this was an excellent location in a quieter part of the city – across the river and away from the crowds and perfect to still get to be in Arashiyama. The hostel is walkable to the onsen and provides a couple for a discount for entry!

302:Rocinante(馬) Private Suite

Very nice, peaceful location. Hosts are very responsive and nice. Kazuki-san is very nice and helpful and showed us around the town, however he does not enjoy customers who ask a lot of questions prior to the visit 😅 the house info is quite descriptive enough though. I’m an overthinker so I asked a lot of questions before 😂 Would recommend. Try to visit when there is no rain, so walking/biking around would be easier and more enjoyable.

Traditional Twin with Bath

CharlieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Honestly one of the best stays I’ve ever had if not the best. I was shocked at how friendly the host was and they never hesitated to ask what I was doing for the day and also gave recommendations depending on where I’d be going. They even went out of their way to offer reserving a restaurant for me. I can’t forget to also mention that they allow you to leave your bags with them before and AFTER your stay, which made my trip a lot more convenient. Would without a doubt stay with them again in a heartbeat.

IRORI - Japanese Style Room with kitchen&bathroom

MarikoRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This property operates like a hotel with a front desk, so you can expect hotel-level cleanliness and service—just without on-site restaurants. The room was squeaky clean, and housekeeping came every 2–3 days to refresh bed sheets and towels, which was appreciated. The location is a bit of a walk from Kyoto Station. You can use an underground passage partway, but note there’s no elevator at the exit, so it’s tricky if you have heavy luggage. A nice touch was the free umbrellas and instant coffee and green tea packs available at the front desk — both were surprisingly good. Overall, a comfortable stay with reliable housekeeping. We would definitely stay here again.

I used it for the first time this time.I had no experience with private lodging or Airbnb reservations, but the service was prompt and polite both when booking and before the stay, and I was able to arrive and enter the room smoothly and with peace of mind. The bus stop (No. 16) to Kyoto Station is just around the corner, and it is conveniently located and you can somehow walk from Kyoto Station. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood, and the main street side has double windows, so the interior was a quiet environment. I felt the owner's thoughtfulness everywhere, such as the cleanliness of the room, the collection of garbage, the salon and coffee in the lobby on the first floor, and the washing machine and bench on the rooftop. It was a place to stay that I would like to stay again if I had the opportunity.I would like to thank the owner.Thank you very much.

Absolutely stunning experience, with Hash always being around and available, the building itself is a incredible merge between a historic hotel and our very own Airbnb! Spent great time with friends at the place and would highly recommend to all bigger groups that would like to stay in a quieter corner of Kyoto.

We had an awesome stay at Lan's place. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated having access to bicycles and would highly recommend a bike ride in the area. Our room had a private washer/dryer but we also made use of the rooftop appliences and drying rack. The beds were super comfortable and it's a very quiet area to catch up on sleep after a lot of walking. We would absolutely stay here again.
