In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Enjoy Takayama's history to the fullest in an excellent location. <Building and Hida master carpenters> Built 145 years ago by a master craftsman from Hida, this building has been revived here by modern craftsmen. Hello, I am the owner. The reason I created Tokyo Kids Castle is: 1. Provide a more comfortable travel and play environment for children and their families around the world 2. Don't let the coronavirus win, send out a spirit of challenge, courage, and excitement 3. To have people from all over the world come to the local area and shopping district, and have them experience and spend money We would like children and their families from all over the world to come. We also have two elementary school children. During the coronavirus pandemic, we tend to stay at home and not have many opportunities to go out and play, so from that experience, I thought if there was a place like this, I could take them there to play with peace of mind, and that's how this project started. Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.
