Then Hvílusteinn is perfect as a getaway from the city into the wilderness & as a base camp for South Iceland, within 100 km you have most of Iceland's popular gems! Airport about 170km away. It's nice to just enjoy the local nature and the northern lights in this remote and secluded area of the countryside with a private outdoor shower and shared indoor shower and a sauna. My place is close to The Golden Circle and the Highlands. The place has picturesque view. You can see Hekla, Eyjafjallajökul, Langjökull through the windows of the cottage. Closed to the cottage is Skálholt church, one of Iceland´s most important historic sites. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the coziness, the kitchen, the hot tub. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Only 2 km to Health service. If you have back problems we have a soft mattress for you.

Í húsinu eru tvö svefnherbergi, baðherbergi, stofa, borðstofa og eldhús. Húsið er staðsett um 5 km frá Kirkjubæjarklaustri og er því mitt á milli The black sand beach í Vík og The national park Skaftafell og Jökulsárlón í austri. Frá húsinu er bæði útsýni að Vatnajökli og Mýrdalsjökli.

It's on the south side of the lake on the way to Hallormsstaður the biggest forest in Iceland. The closest grocery store is in Egilsstaðir. Good paved road, passable all the year. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape, nice hiking trails down to the lake or up to the hills, good place to see the northern lights in wintertime.

Gestahúsið okkar er lítið 15 fm hús. Húsið stendur á lóðinni rétt sunnan við húsið okkar. útsýnið yfir fjörðinn er einstakt og fjallasýnin eftir því. 4,5 km er í miðbæ Akureyrar sem hefur uppá að bjóða alla þá þjónustu sem hugsast getur. We are motorcycle friendly. Það er heit úti sturta.
