Stunning 17th Century farmhouse & swimming pool

GillianRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The consistency of reviews led me to book and just says it all. 3 generations, all very happy....we usually eat out a fair bit but enjoyed the space so much we barely did. The feeling is of a huge, comfortable house with an immediately homely and easy air. The kitchen is as at home...every utensil..even a baking cupboard..not treading on eggshells in a cold corporate space, but sharing a family home which has clearly been a haven for generations. Thank you to Joy for her lovely proactive tips...we slept soooo well....and made the most of every moment...the sign of a week well spent in the most comfortable of places.

Stunning Scandinavian Lodge with pool and hot tub.

JamesRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really enjoyed staying here as a group of five adults and 1 toddler. Plenty of room for us all and having 2 bathrooms was really great. The cabin is comfy and cosy, with beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. We used the cabin as a base to explore Cornwall as it is located centrally within easy reach of many popular towns. We loved coming back to the cabin in the evening and using the hot tub and waking up to the very friendly alpacas! You do have to drive up a very narrow and steep lane to reach the cabin but we were lucky that the lane is very quiet and so we never met any oncoming traffic. We would absolutely recommend and would love to return one day.

Fistral Lodge 102 - Waterfront location 5* Resort

ClaireRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This was our family’s second stay at what is our favourite spot at Retallack. The lodge, being right on the water, feels peaceful and secluded, but is only a few minutes’ walk to the pool, restaurant and other amenities. Mel is a great host, always replying quickly, and the lodge has everything we needed for our stay. We’d definitely come back again.

Waterfront quayside house by the beach St Ives Bay

KatrinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay. The house and its surroundings were exactly as described – it really does have the feel of a luxury hotel, but with the warmth and space of a home. It’s beautifully decorated, spacious, and welcoming. The views are stunning, and the beach is just a stone’s throw away – perfect for our 4.5-year-old to walk to. Town is also just a short five-minute stroll away. We’d also highly recommend Highlanes Fish & Chips – only a five-minute drive and well worth it. All in all, a lovely stay. Clean, spacious, fantastic views, and a brilliant location.

The Reading Room - Sleeps 5 - Unique & by the Sea!

BenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Really comfortable and well presented home away from home. Plenty of space for us as a family of four and we loved the large open plan living and dining area. The bedding was SO soft and we slept well! We appreciated thoughtful touches such as kitchen spray, tea towels, salt and pepper (we always forget it!) and a lovely welcome hamper. The weather conspired against us but we made the best of it and helpful information from Jo and Cassie gave us ideas for places to explore. Thank you both! Sarah and Ben

The most beautiful getaway. The views over the meadow to the sea and St Michael’s Mount are incredible any time of the day and we loved spending time on the terrace. Perfect location for walking, sea swims and east to get into town and explore the Cornish coast. The decor is also amazing with so much attention to detail. Will be back!

Charming Cornish cottage

AlisonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Just back from a lovely 2 nights . Rosie’s communication was excellent and let us know when the cottage was ready so we were able to check in an hour earlier. Rosie had supplied , tea ,coffee, sugar some lovely Cornish biscuits and a pint of milk . Also plenty of loo roll , dishwasher tabs , washing up liquid and cloths were provided . ( thought this was worth knowing for future guests ) We took a trip to Marizion and then we walked from the cottage into Mousehole which was lovely , even spotted a seal along the way . Loved sitting in the window seats and reading my book while sipping a glass of wine . We truly enjoyed our little escape . Thank you Rosie

Authentic Fishermans Cottage

PhilipRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Can't fault this stay in any way. Everything was as described, the hosts were super responsive, helpful and friendly and even went out of their way to surprise us with a very thoughtful gift. The cottage is a delight, very authentically Cornish, comfortable and warm. It was suitably equipped (we didn't need for anything during our stay) and a great place to relax and unwind after days of walking. Porthleven turned out to be a super place to base ourselves with good restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and town activities. Not as "quaint" as Mousehole or Marazion but actually better equipped for a stay and a little more local activity, we preferred it. If we headed back to Porthleven I'd absolutely look to stay at this cottage again. Recommended.

Tranquil spacious hideaway beaches free parking

DanielRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What a great find, we had a lovely stay at Sunrise. This is the perfect place to stay to explore what south west Cornwall has to offer - less than 20 mins into st Ives meant we could go out for an evening walk on the beach. Also so many other places close by too. Also very close to a range of supermarkets so picking up some food was easy. The property was a great size for two people, with all of the amenities we needed. Didn't really notice that we were attached to the main house. It was very clean and very comfortable. Definitely worth mentioning too that Liz is a great host and was very helpful and communicative from the moment we booked. We could easily have stayed for a lot longer, and would gladly visit again.

Corri’s cottage is fabulous, beautifully decorated with comfortable sofas and beds. Kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed to cook on the few evenings we didn’t eat out. Lovely garden with sofas/chairs to lounge on which we did get to enjoy despite some mixed weather. Mousehole is a perfect place to set off on some stunning costal walks which is what we spent our week doing. We also enjoyed dinner at 2 Fore Street, Mackerel Sky & the Tolcarne Inn.

Beautiful House, Huge Garden, Unrivalled Sea Views

RobRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Great little place in an unspoilt fishing village. We loved Mousehole. Pros Felt at home. Super comfy beds, great linen & soft towels. We all slept extremely well. Some beautiful lounge chairs. We loved the leather chair in the lounge. Perfect for a morning coffee and the papers! Peaceful and great views of St Michael’s Mount etc. Cons Not many. Very uncomfortable sofa. Few chipped plates Not related to the house but Mousehole. The parking was very tricky. To the point we were unable to park on 2 occasions and my partner had to park quite far out of the village and walk home in the rain very late at night. It’s something to bear in mind. We wish we just got the local bus or taxis everywhere.

The Tiny House.

JillRating, 5 stars5 days ago
The Tiny House (actually called Lavender's Blue on the house name plate) is a cosy, well-equipped, two-storey apartment built onto the side of Susan's home. It is in a quiet residential area about 5 minutes from Penmere station and similar distance to local bus-stops. It is a 10 minute walk to town and beaches, all downhill. Longer coming back up hill or get a bus; no. 67 was a good one for Swanpool beach and the town. The apartment is finished to a very high spec with bespoke oak wood work surfaces and a double Belfast sink. The kitchen had everything you might need including tea, coffee and milk, which was appreciated. In case you need it, there was no freezer or freezer compartment in fridge. The bathroom had a lovely waterfall shower and cruelty-free toiletries (big tick). Some water did spill onto the floor, however, as there is no shower door. The bed was very comfy. We loved our stay here and would thoroughly recommend staying here when visiting Falmouth.

Close to South West Coast Path.

JoshuaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The airbnb itself was good, in a good location and the hosts (who live in the main building to the annexe) seemed friendly without intruding. No complaints at all about cleanliness, amenities etc. My only real criticism is that the photos are a bit misleading, as they imply that there's a private garden to access, but it's actually shared with the host's house. However, as someone who is new to airbnb, its possible its on me for not understanding how to accurately read the description or getting in touch with the host to confirm rather than just assuming.

Spacious, cosy cottage, walk to 3 beaches

AmyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We stayed in the Big Barn for three nights and had an incredible time. The accommodation was incredibly clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Harriet and Sylvain also provided us with some fresh local bread, eggs and milk to settle us in, and left us some handpicked strawberries on the porch which was a lovely surprise! The barn was quiet and private and was just a short walk to Porthcurno Beach and the Minack Theatre. We'd definitely love to stay again!
