Family-friendly vacation rentals in Galveston

Great place to stay! We walked to the beach every day that we were there. It was really helpful that they had beach towels and chairs for us to use. Very responsive when I had anything that needed tended to! would stay again!

It was our first time, and the experience was very nice. I really didn't know how it was going to be because it was our first time doing this, but my family and I loved the place, the super relaxing pool, especially the view towards Galveston Bay, very beautiful and what I liked the most, that you can fish all day. And also the apartment is super comfortable, it's big enough for the family, my children and I loved everything, they had fun in the pool, and fishing all day and they loved everything. Wow! What an incredible place and an incredible host. We've stayed at over 30 Airbnbs and this is the only host that has gone this above and beyond - stocking the kitchen in anticipation of our Thanksgiving feast, a doggie basket with toys for our pups, a gorgeous pecan dessert and yummy pasta/sauce on the kitchen table, a zoom call to welcome us and to find out what else we needed (she ordered us more kitchen utensils & a fan from Target). The home feels like a home. Super clean, lots of character - high ceilings, lovely woodwork, lots of light, a sweet fully fenced in yard, and large comfy bedrooms. There are two bathrooms but everyone ends up using 1 upstairs as their main bathroom since it's the one with a shower - not an issue for us just FYI. The neighborhood is super walkable - so many gorgeous homes on every block. Easy to get to the Strand, beach and Broadway. Two thumbs way up for people with or without dogs! Simply amazing. Nice place to stay around the area, it’s peaceful and protected by a nearby police station. Kemah board walk is really close, recommend staying here for activity.

Gloria’s place was absolutely wonderful. Highly recomend. Exactly as described. She responded quickly. Everything was great. The beds were all comfortable. The showers were great. TVs worked great. We cooked a lot and found the kitchen more than adequate. Plenty of dishes and flatware. We had our son and 4 grandkids plus our granddaughter’s friend. There was plenty of space for all 8 of us. We were close to the beach and close to all the attractions in Galveston. The out door hose allowed us to rinse off and keep most of the sand outside. Loved having the washer and dryer too! Would definitely come again. Book it before it’s gone!! Great price!!

Scott is quick to communicate, which is awesome. We immediately fell in love with the resort the minute we walked into our room and saw how amazing and spacious it is! We were on the 5th floor, towards the end, so close to the beach. At night I could hear the waves crashing on my right & the infinity pool crashing on my left - I slept amazingly! I loved that we could walk downstairs and right onto the beach, everything was so amazing, I wanted to never leave. Another cool thing about this resort is that there are tons of games and things to do. Movies are available for rent, and there is a little marketplace you can grab snacks, wine, even ice cream! The room had everything we needed. I was hoping there would be some beach chairs to check out, but there weren't any. We bought a cheap $10 boogy board from WalMart and ended up taking it home (Southwest let us take it as a carry on!). I did see they had buckets & sand toys available to check out and that is awesome. The pool and the hot tub were amazing. One of the best little getaways I've had in the last couple years!

As a visitor to San Leon for over 50 years, this house has all the charm needed for total relaxation.

We had a GREAT stay! Everything we needed was there at the house. The fact that Heidi put so much thought into families having infants and her having a high chair, playpen, and all the necessities for our family made our trip so smooth. I highly recommend staying at Heidi’s Air BNB and already plan on returning. Cozy little bungalow, perfect for a family weekend at the beach. This is a smaller beach house, but it was perfect for my needs, 2 br, 1 bath and beautiful views of the ocean. The area is a short walk from a public and private beach. Definitely close enough you can walk back for more snacks/kiddo potty breaks. The kitchenette is fully stocked, had plenty of plates/cooking utensils/pots and pans. there were also a few spices and condiments as well. All paper products were supplied (and enough for our 4 night stay). check-in and out were easy as pie. Janet was a great communicator and even offered early check-in/late check-out as the unit was available. Only one thing I truly missed was an outdoor shower, but there was a hose for feet washing and we made do! Loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat ❤️

It was our first time using an Airbnb. Jeff & Kelly were great. I loved that they were next door if we needed anything. The guest house was cute and clean. We loved it. It was a short walk to the beach. This will be our go to place when we come back.

This house was PERFECT. My family enjoyed our 3 day vacation to the max. The beach was close and walkable and the view from the house was beautiful enough. The kitchen was fully stocked and many of the amenities came in handy. If Bolivar is where you want to stay then this should be your first option.

I’ve stayed at so many of these properties over the years and I love them all so much. I know I will always be cozy, cold, and feel like I am in a home not a hotel. Since I have to be away from my own cozy home, that is so important to me. Also finally tried Miller’s Seawall Grill from the recommendations and it was so good!

Home was just as described. Good location and quiet area.

Great place for two families with toddlers to spend a long weekend! The view from the balcony was great, and the pool and the lazy river were a ton of fun. The room itself was good for a long weekend, but it might have felt a little cramped if the stay was much longer than that. Overall, we really enjoyed this place and will definitely consider it for our next trip to Galveston!

This place was an absolute gem! It had great access to the beach, and the host was super responsive and friendly. The hot tub was amazing, and the kitchen was big enough for our guests. There were a lot of games for the kids, and the kids’ room even had arcade games (like Pac-Man and Street Fighter). That definitely kept the kids off their phones! I’ll definitely recommend this place for any vacation or family gathering. We’ll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Nam's place. We were central to all of the attractions of the sea wall, yet her place was a peaceful retreat. Nam was responsive and ensured we had a smooth check-in.

Our stay here was AMAZING. Perfect for larger groups — so much space & may I add how beautiful the layout of this house was! It’s right along the water so the views were impeccable. George was so helping & responded quickly when I had questions during our stay. Will definitely be booking again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was our first family vacation with our toddler. Everything went smoothly and we were able to create great memories. Gary & Anna were very responsive and helpful!

Excellent stay-we rent a beach house for our five sons and families every summer-this was the best. Very responsive, attentive host. Very accommodating. Complete kitchen with large pots and skillets for a large group-especially appreciated the griddle and crock pot. Plenty of silverware, dishes, and cups for a large group. Plenty of towels-not just bath, but also beach towels! Great location-just walk across the street to the beach. Loved the beach toys for the kids and even a rake for the seaweed. Three bathrooms AND an outdoor shower! Two downstairs bedrooms were great for one son with a disability and one couple needing quiet from the baby. Lots of games to play and even books to read. Parking was amazing- driveway makes it so no one was boxed in. We really recommend Lucky's Lookout.

loved our stay. the house easily accommodated 3 generations with different interests. the bedrooms were a good size and the open living/dining area made it easy to gather. the hot tub was a huge hit with everyone and the outdoor shower made it easy to get the sand off. Great house!
