It is a real old windmill that worked to grind wheat and produce flour. This operation stopped with the appearance of the machines a few years later when it was used as a residence. It consists of 3 floors. On the ground floor there is the kitchen and the bathroom, the children's bedroom upstairs and on the third floor there is the main bedroom with a 360th view of the endless blue but also in the mountainous part of the island. De Swarte Prinsch is an authentic polder mill in the middle of the nature reserve "de Groene Ster" near Leeuwarden. Sleeping in a windmill, an experience! The 120-year-old mill has surprisingly combined many authentic details with modern colors and trendy furniture. From your bed you look through the glass ceiling at the wooden gear, which can be illuminated at night. The bathroom is small, but modern and offers you a great view over the meadows while showering.
