Separate dinning room straight off the kitchen. *Due to the nature and the age of the building, please be aware that there is a steep set of stairs to the bedrooms.* We also provide instructor lead Clay Pigeon shooting sessions on the farm to our guests to make their stay that bit more unique. Perfect place to start or finish the Hadrians wall path. Staff were great. So much room on offer in their apartments.

A perfect base for the start of our Hadrian’s Wall Cycle adventure. We did a Solway loop to Silloth, then Carlisle and back to Bowness on Solway (around 56miles)

Colin contacted us prior to our stay to give us accurate details of where to go, and what to do. He gave us his contact number incase there was any issues, and told us to contact him anytime. His apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the photos do not do it justice.. and the views from the balcony were 100%. The location was perfect for what we was looking for. We would highly recommend ,and definitely stay there again.😊

The loft apartment at Bowness House Farm exceeded our expectations- in fact the whole courtyard complex did. The apartment was beautifully styled and thought through with an excellent kitchen area, spacious en-suite, very comfortable sitting area and bed. We loved the details and finish- in fact I wish we’d been staying for a week rather than one night. Michelle, the manager, was welcoming and helpful. She also cooked our delicious breakfast this morning. The restaurant is full of warmth and character and we loved the inspirational sayings from 20th century icons ( including Nelson Mandela, Bob Marley and Stephen Hawking), the sparkling lights and the general ambience. We also throughly enjoyed our evening meal there. This was such a beautiful place I’d cycle the 150 miles back just to stay again !

The stables

We loved our stay at the Stables, very comfortable and a great place to chill. There is a beautiful garden with Sauna overlooking pond which made this place very special. It's only 10mins into Castle Douglas, 20 mins from Kirkcudbright with all the lovely cafes, Art and coast which was a bonus when the weather was a wet. Great cycling from the house up Lock Ken and also into Galloway Forest/Otter pools, we ran out of time to use the Gym & table tennis so will have to come back. Thankyou Marcella!

We had a wonderful time as two families with young children + our dog staying at Mid Lodge for a long weekend over the Easter break. The house and surrounding estate are beautiful, and it is perfectly positioned for the nearby Forest Park. We were quite lucky with the weather and went for lovely walks nearby. As for the property itself, it was exactly like the photos, spotless, and we were provided a delicious selection of local farm produce on arrival. Highly recommended.

The bathroom features a combination of a bathtub and shower with tiled walls. Natural light enters through a window adorned with a floral curtain. A pedestal sink and a wooden step stool are provided, along with a toilet, a waste bin, and a woven basket on the floor.

A beautifully renovated Gardener's Cottage in a peaceful and picturesque country estate. Nice to see the walled garden being brought back to life outside our windows. Really safe for kids, and very comfortable inside.

The sitting room features comfortable seating arrangements including a sofa, armchair, and upholstered wingback chair. A wooden coffee table is centered on a patterned area rug. Natural light floods the space through two windows draped with patterned curtains.

Lovely home – very grand with high ceilings, spacious rooms, etc. only 100 meters or so down to the beach and easy access to shops plus lots of parking on the property. We had a really lovely stay with three couples from Australia. Couldn’t recommend this highly enough as a great venue for a group stay. Just found it a little hard to get in touch with the host the day before check-in but all ended up fine.

A cozy bedroom features a floral-patterned bedspread on a spacious bed. Soft green curtains frame the window, allowing natural light to fill the space. Shelving above the bed provides storage and decor, contributing to a comfortable atmosphere.
