Scotia at The Pow

LouiseRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed here on our way to the Highlands as a stop over and it was perfect. There was myself, my partner and our 9 year old daughter. Deborah was very welcoming to us after such a long drive, she had prepared a lovely lunch of sandwiches and cake for us and left some milk in the fridge for a very welcome cup of tea and coffee. The place was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. The weather was not fantastic but in the summer the garden would be lovey to sit and relax in. The highlight for my little girl was the jacuzzi bath which was fantastic! The place was very cosy and we easily could have stayed for longer had we had more time in our trip. The beach was very close which was much appreciated by our dog Bella. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to the Highlands.

Cruggleton Lodge, Galloway House Estate

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our 1st time at Cruggleton Lodge - though we have stayed at the relatively adjacent High Lodge several times. As at HL before, we had an idyllic week - which the facilities at CL provided an excellent foundation for. CL is secluded, set in the edge of woodlands, with breath-taking views out to sea. The walk through the woods down to Garlieston starts literally outside the door. Woods containing deer, hares and a wide variety of bird species. Have already booked again!

Symphonica: Artist's Nest on Estate by the Sea

ChrisRating, 5 stars7 months ago
My husband and I had never stayed on the Dunskey Estate before, or in this part of Scotland. Both were a revelation. The estate is gorgeous with tracks through the woodland displaying wonderful autumn colour. The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable and tranquil. We loved the decked garden from which to view the Hunters moon and starlit sky. The secret entrance to the enchanting walled garden was magical. The surrounding delights of Portpatrick, lighthouses, Logan Botanic Gardens and the Mull of Galloway were stunning on a blue sky day. Sadly, our stay was too short this time, but we would love to return to enjoy Dunskey in different seasons. Thank you for sharing.

Erin has enhanced the smart, clean accommodation with her beautiful original artwork. The house was equipped with all those extras you either forget or have to shop for, especially in the kitchen. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was exceptional. We were pleasantly surprised to find the tv included prime and was easy to use. There was a wealth of local info including a new OS map. Our bikes were safely stored in the garden and parking was ideal, right outside the front door. A real home from home for us! We hope to visit again.

I loved my stay in the Studio at Courtyard Cottage it was great from start to finish x Betsey was incredibly helpful with everything and there if I needed anything but gave me privacy too! It was really cosy but felt roomy with everything you need. I loved the old stable features as I ride horses💕 The dog had a great time at the nearby beaches and the Spring Fling in Kirkcudbright was fabulous. I would definitely recommend Betsey’s place and I will be back for sure! Thank you Betsey for a great stay x

Lovely bright seafront ground floor apartment

SunitaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This well-equipped ground-floor apartment looking out onto the sea a few 100 ms away is fairly centrally located in Ayr. Good access to Burns birthplace in Alloway and the amazing Culzean castle along the coast. If you are interested in history, there is much to see in the neighbouring countryside and coastline apart from the town-centre. Alison is a great host and left lots of welcome treats including butter, milk and Scottish goodies! She was quick to respond to our queries and provided lots of useful advice. A wonderful stay in a cosy, clean and comfortable flat with a reasonable time to check out at 11 am! Kids loved access to both Netflix and Disney! Thank you Alison!

Large Central Town Apartment

Stuart WalkerRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Three of us stayed for a couple of nights on a golfing trip, the location is excellent with street parking right next to the front door and just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre and to the local pubs and restaurants and the accommodation itself was perfect, with plenty of room. We asked if we could check in early and it wasn't a problem and we were met by Jimmy, who was very helpful in explaining everything that we may need. If you are staying in or around Stranraer, then I recommend you stay at Lorna's place.

Gartferry Apartments, Ayr, Scotland

ClaireRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great base for exploring the area. 5 mins walk to the beach, coastal road to the south and island ferries to the north. As well as a couple of mins drive to the Robert Burns cottage and visitor centre (and Ayr parkrun, sadly cancelled this week so went to Troon)! Olena was lovely, welcomed us and gave recommendations for the area. The flat was good, very comfortable and had easy parking.
