Cottage on the Scottish coast with stunning views

JulieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This was exactly what we needed. Peaceful, relaxing surroundings, right across from the sea. We liked it so much we were looking at the prices of similar properties in the area! Red deer, hares, birds and the elusive otter were all seen from the comfort of the cottage. Take some binoculars and your camera. We spent all of our time there in the conservatory watching the ever changing scenery/waves or outside in the garden. Good spot for exploring surrounding areas and the locals are very friendly. Yes, the cottage could do with a little bit of TLC but the bed was comfy, modern kitchen, iron and board, and we were confident that the dogs could safely be outside as it was securely enclosed. Dogs also enjoyed their surprise treats - thanks.

Lovely shore front house in Kildonan

JamesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay at Seamew. The house is lovely, fully equipped and well furnished, with beautiful uninterrupted views across the sea towards Ilsa Craig and lighthouses twinkling at night. We found the location really handy, with the Kildonan Hall bus stop right outside for bus services around the island and also various beach, waterfall or hill walks available from the doorstep. The house very comfortably sleeps 6 people, with spacious bedrooms and plenty of space in the lounge and kitchen diner. We would happily recommend and are very grateful for such a brilliant first stay on the Isle of Arran meeting so many friendly local people.

Tir Nan Og

CatherineRating, 5 stars19 months ago
Great location to explore the area from - we barely had to use the car as there was plenty to explore on our doorstep. The house was roomy and had incredible views! It was very warm and had everything we needed. It could definitely do with a deep clean but was clean enough for a short stay. Other than that we had a great stay!

Potters Cottage, Cumbria

Sarah's very comfy and cosy cottage was the perfect place to relax in between selling and buying our new home in Cumbria. We also really appreciated her flexibility in allowing a later check out to fit in with our move. The cottage looks much nicer than the photos! Highly recommended 😊

Ocean Wynds - Picturesque Peaceful Home from Home

LesleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely place with a private garden, ideal for dogs. Photos don’t do the bungalow justice. Great location, with some coast walks from the bungalow and ideal for exploring the area. Port Patrick is nice and pleasantly busy, spread around a beach and harbour with good amenities of which we sampled a few. Would book again if in the area.

Laggansally Lodge - bungalow enveloped by farmland

CarolRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Joanna’s house is perfectly located to explore this part of Scotland and we enjoyed having no neighbours at all! The house is spacious and very well equipped indeed with everything we needed and more. Great having an Aga and we enjoyed the wood burner! Great shower and nice to have a bath too. Joanna communicated very well and made sure we were happy. We loved visiting the various light houses up and down the coast and Logan Botanical gardens are a must particularly on a sunny day. We would highly recommend this “home” as a holiday destination. Our dog Bear loved it too!!

Bengali Holiday Cottage

We had a fantastic stay at Matthew’s place! It was perfect for our weekend away, especially with it being just a short drive to Gatehouse of Fleet for our bike race. The large enclosed garden was ideal for the dogs to run around safely, and the house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, and the big dining table easily accommodated all 6 of us. We’d definitely stay again if we’re ever back in the area. Highly recommend!
