Waterfront vacation rentals in Avery County

Blin's place was spotless, comfortable and the view was stunning - Fall leaves were in full color while we were there. The bathrooms were spacious and clean - the water was hot with good pressure. The king bed in the master was supportive and comfortable. I heard no complaints about the bunk room beds the kids used. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, bowls and cooking utensils. All appliances worked well. It was muddy while we were there so we rolled up the light colored rugs so we didn't accidentally stain them. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of area for him to run and the streets were quiet for a walk along the road. There are steps all the way to the water which will be amazing for lake access in the summer. As it was cold while we were there and the lake was still recovering from Hurrican Helene, we did not get in the water. All in all it was a great place to stay.

Karen was helpful in sending recommendations and communication regarding the impact of Helene on the area. Always answered questions and put us at ease. The suite was beautiful and the amenities were nice and the views were great. Instructions were helpful. I would highly recommend this suite

A great location with almost immediate access to skiing and hiking trails! We didn’t use the amenities while there but did see many families enjoying them. A 15 minute ride to Boone and all that area offers was a plus. This was a quiet, corner location with a soothing view of a pond on the grounds out all of the windows. A good sized space to wind down after a full day of adventures!

We had a great stay with Jamie. The location is close to everything you’d want to experience in Boone. Jamie was proactive and sent access information and instructions ahead of time. Jamie checked in several times and was ready to answer any questions that popped up. We loved how cozy this spot felt. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Great place for a visit to Sugar Mountain! I took my son and we had a blast. This place is really close to the mountain and everything g in Banner Elk! The place was very clean and had everything g we needed! I highly recommend!

I had a lovely two week stay at Eliber's listing. Everything was exactly as described. It is very close to downtown Burnsville and easy access to the main road but also quiet enough that deer were in the yard. Eliber was very responsive and answered any questions I had quickly.

We had a great stay!! Everything was just as described! Perfect distance to sugar and beech for skiing! We hope to be back soon!

I really enjoyed this Airbnb at sugar mountain, I liked how it was an easy 5 min walk to the bottom of the lift. This made it nice for getting rentals and not having to drive the car. The view of the lake was nice! Also a quick walk to the tubing area!

Gorgeous space, great host - definitely have all wheel drive, the gravel road is intense, but absolutely worth it. Great place to unwind and rest in between classes!

The view of the lake from the living room is one of the best in LandHarbor. The house is very well equipped - everything you need to enjoy, cook, a covered patio, and comfortable beds. I will be back again!

We had a lovely stay with everything we needed. We were very comfortable. It was chilly the first couple nights but the heater kept us nice and warm.

We had a wonderful stay at Christopher’s place. Everything was as described and it was very clean. Great for families with children. We would love to stay here again.

Another great Winter stay at Got Rocks! We’ve stayed here many times before and we’ve always enjoyed the proximity to the things we enjoy nearby such as skiing, wineries, groceries, restaurants, etc. there is lots of space to spread out, and everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals whenever we wanted. This is one of the nicest homes I’ve stayed at. Amy has put a tremendous amount of thought and care into her home and it shows. This is not one of your run of the mill vacation rentals with the bare necessities. This is truly a home away from home. If you’re looking for a place to stay, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area, look no further. We stayed here for a family ski trip and it was perfect. You can walk down to the slopes or watch from the back porch. It’s a great location but the host’s attention to detail makes it even better.

We love staying at Seven Devils every time we visit Boone and this Cabin was great made us feel right at home. A minute away from a cute little pond to fish and the grill was also a fave. All beds were comfy&couches as soon as you sit you’re just ready to nap. Would definitely recommend staying here !

We had a great stay. It’s a beautiful home on a very nice piece of property.

The place was great for skiing at Sugar Mountain. Everything was good but the floor was bit dirty, our white socks turned black within 5 minutes of walking around. Other than that, everything was perfect!

The condo is super cozy and suitable for a weekend getaway. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Had a fantastic time and being with in walking distance of everything is very helpful especially during the high traffic times of the day.

My stay at the 4BR Villa in Banner Elk was absolutely delightful! The villa was spacious, beautifully furnished, and offered all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was the perfect getaway spot for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of the mountains. Would highly recommend it for families or groups looking for a luxurious and peaceful retreat!

Chad and Allison were fantastic hosts. The place is absolutely beautiful and lots of things for kids to do. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway with lots of things to do, this is your spot. Will definitely book again.

Nice place in a superb location

Loved this rustic creekside condo. It was beautiful inside and out. Everything you needed was there. The deck outside to relax and listen to the creek was so nice. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay if you are wanting to ski Beech Mountain. Host was super responsive. Place was clean, beds were comfy. Not a chef’s kitchen, but workable. Super easy checkout procedures.
