Hotel vacation rentals in Avery County

Being a first time user of airbnb , Im sold and airbnb will be my go to from here forward for any travel.. the ease of reservation and check in/ check out ... very smooth! I literally paid online , then drove to the door of the place and punched in a code and we were home away from home. So easy , no front desk , just such a great way to travel with your family and friends. But the best part was "D.J." , after reading the responses left on airbnb sites , DJ was the contributing factor to my stay. I look forward to future family trips to Boone more often b/c of DJ's personal and professional timeliness and friendliness. D.J. Thanks again my friend , will talk to you soon

I enjoyed staying at DJ’s place right out of Boone. It was the perfect place for me while visiting my kiddo for the weekend. Super cute setup. I recommend arriving before dark to get acquainted with the location; especially if you aren’t used to driving narrow mountain roads. Had dinner at The Gamekeeper which is < 5 min drive or < 10 min walk.

We have stayed at this property many times. Once again, it did not disappoint. Our room and the location of the Inn was perfect. We will be back again! Thank you to DJ for another great experience at Yonahlossee. Jane

Perfect place to stay! Quiet, clean, comfortable, private but close to everything!

D.J was flexible, responsive and understanding! Even though our weekend was not quite as planned due to circumstances with our kids, accommodations were great and made our trip easier. The room was very spacious compared to traditional hotels and had extra linen and towels. I would definitely stay here again!

What a hidden Jewel. Have you ever visited a place where the outside looks nothing like the inside. Trust me, you will want to stay here. I visited solo for my birthday. I really didnt knkw what to expect. The huge jacuzzi tub was the start. The huge King bed was so perfectly made that I tipped the housekeeper. I had no idea the private pool was inside my room behind a door by the fireplace. When I first opened it I was amazed at the spiral steps that led down to the pool. Once I got down there, wheww! A beautiful private heated pool. Yes, my birthday was complete. I would definitely come back.

Our stay was fantastic! Erin was extremely responsive and helpful! Loved the location, super peaceful and exactly what we were look for. Very close to Boone, NC and Appalachian Ski Resort which made our traveling super easy. The home itself was gorgeous and very clean. The tablet with all of the recommendations and tutorials on things in the house was really helpful and Erin was great to interact with. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic place in Blowing Rock! Plenty of room with really nice touches. The dry bar had everything you need for coffee as well as a nice fridge and microwave. The little patio was a nice spot to have a glass of wine. Easy walk to restaurants, shops and the Glen Burney trail. Would stay again when back in town!

The updates have yet to be posted. The new rooms are beautifully done. The check in area has wonderful wines, IPA beers and souvenirs. A fantastic view, a cafe, pool table, darts and managers who love dogs as much as you love yours. I have personally never had such accommodating hosts!

Such a cute place! Everything was in great condition and very clean. Based on the cars, it seemed all the rooms were occupied, but we never heard a peep. The house was stocked with lots of basics and fresh breakfast options were provided. Communication was excellent, timely, and simple. Highly recommend!

Amazing and Unique Property - our group of 10 adults and 7 kids had an awesome time (and plenty of room) at the Blue Ridge Tourist Court. Owners have done a beautiful job in revitalizing the property to provide a nostalgic feel of a historic motor court, all the while delivering a modern, up to date, and well appointed place to stay. Everything was as advertised and exceeded expectations. Definitely recommend!

Great place in the mountains.

Loved it. We played pool and enjoyed exploring the hotel and seeing the history of the property. Gorgeous views of the valley and mountains in the distance. I’m the morning, we had a chance to shop in the store and they had some nice geological rocks to explore. Would stay again next visit.

Wonderful, gorgeous location. I am from North Carolina and I love the area so this is the first time I've really decided to get an Airbnb, being joined by a friend from California. As for my housing, I prefer to have something that's a little bit more memorable or fun. We were spending about 24 hours in a loop of Blowing Rock, heading down the Parkway, over the Viaduct, up to Grandfather, stopping at the Wilderness Alpine Coaster in Banner Elk, as well as the original Mast General in Valle Crucis, all places from my childhood weekends. Wish the windows could have opened (even if just one had been casement type or sliding) because the high 40s, low 50s and the rushing stream would have been the perfect sleeping combination. For breakfast we made Belgium waffles (host provided ingredients). I had originally wanted to stay on the lower floor but someone who is a prosthetic wearing AKA (above knee amputatee), the stairs would have been too much. Clean, convenient home and comfy bed!
