Waterfront vacation rentals in Ascona

The aparment is exactly as described and as all the other reviews have said. Lovely space, great location. It does get quite noisey over the weekend though, with the sounds and music from all the restaurants and bars down at the lake drifting up. One night the very loud music went on until just after midnight. A small unpleasantness - but still, to be aware of.

I honestly don’t think I could recommend this place more if I could. From the amazing communication with Emi, the extremely clean and well looked after property to the VIEWS… it was just perfect! I cannot express how incredible the views are from this property, we kept saying it just doesn’t look real, this is certainly the place to go! Emi was also so helpful and lovely, she was able to get all our reservations even though I left it so last minute, she was also at hand when we needed help or guidance, she just made the whole experience so smooth it really made our experience that much better. I thank you so much for a trip of a lifetime!

Benedetta was a wonderful host, and very helpful providing clear instructions and helpful suggestions. We loved the location of her beautiful and well-equipped apartment, close to restaurants and the waterfront walkway as well as on the edge of the famous Villa Balbianello! There was a lovely serenity in the space after the bustle of busier towns around Como, and we appreciated the opportunity to let in the fresh air and relax in the lovely space!

Excellent location, extremely responsive host, and very generous amenities stand out. Luisa consistently checked in with us and offered support for anything we needed. We had some difficultly finding the apartment since there is new building renovations next door, so the building didn't look open. Luisa updated the entrance picture so that it shouldn't be a problem for upcoming guests. This is one example of Luisa's responsiveness to her guests. The shower is small and may be an issue for larger people. We didn't have a problem with it. Many amenities (coffee, chilled water, shampoo, hand soap, toilet paper) were provided which was greatly appreciated. Overall, it is a comfortable apartment with friendly hosts in a perfect location.

After a long day of traveling Judith met us at the apartment. She was absolutely one of the most welcoming hosts I have ever met. She gave us the full tour of the apartment and showed us how to use everything. She had a beautiful plate of strawberries and cookies waiting for us. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well appointed for anything you could possibly want or need. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in while away from home. Judith had 4 different ways to make coffee including a little espresso machine. She made us dinner reservations and sent recommendations on where to go and what to see. We all loved her! The sunsets from the balcony were stunning. The little town of Ispra was so lovely to walk around and peacefully after days spent exploring crowded areas. Ispra feels like “real” Italy.

Monica’s place was outstanding The pictures did not do justice to the views Wow! Monica was very good communicating with us right from the start Check in was very straightforward and she even left us a bottle of Prosecco and water Monica is very thoughtful and her place was spotless and well furnished She responded very promptly to all our questions and offered great recommendations for transport , shops and restaurants Overall our stay was beyond our expectations and we are definitely coming back next year Hopefully by which time the C10 bus may be regular 😂 and on time !

Enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of this place for four days. Everything spotless - and with all amenities. House sits in a private park with a couple of other houses. True paradise - we would love to come again. You can walk down to the lago - though ended up taking the car most of the time to get to restaurants. A couple of very nice ones in the area - Riva/Shaka (beach club vibe), Osteria Vairano (magnificent view), Rodolfo (excellent local cuisine)

We had a wonderful week at Carmen's house. The location in Spurano/Ossuccio was perfect because it was quiet yet within easy walking distance of local bars and restaurants. The Greenway provides good walks around the area, including accees to the chapels of the Sacri Monte. The sports bar in Ossuccio was great value for money and we also ate at the lido in Sala Comacina. From there you can also get the boat to the Isola (very peaceful - we had the whole island to ourselves) and you can find Amalia Ostinelli's grocery store for all your essentials. The kitchen diner is superbly equipped and stays cool even on the hotest days. The bed is really comfortable and the whole house is beautifully presented... old and quirky but with all the modern comforts you would expect. On top of that you're literally a few steps from Lake Como. We loved the spa, especially the jacuzzi. All in all we loved it. We were sad to leave and could have happily stayed another week. We hope to return one day.

We had such a great time visiting here. It was a bit of a walk to the house but very doable. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Riccardo was extremely responsive during our visit too. Menaggio was the perfect area to stay at Lake Como. All of the charm and half of the crowds. We Hope to come back again someday.

This was the most unusual lodging I've ever been in on a road trip The house had everything I needed and more. My favorite spot is the upper terrace. I was lucky enough to spend a few evenings there, processing all the content for the day to the sound of birdsong. It's not easy to get here, but it's worth it. When you open the door of this house, it's like stepping into a fairy tale. Unforgettable experience, thank you!

This home is absolutely stunning! Daniel warmly welcomed us on the first day and gave us a tour, making us feel right at home. The location is fantastic—perfectly situated between Bellagio and Como with breathtaking lake views. The bedrooms were incredibly spacious, and the open-concept kitchen allowed us to cook while enjoying the scenery. One recommendation: rent a small vehicle, as the roads are quite narrow and can be challenging if you're not used to them. Overall, a fantastic experience—we’ll definitely be coming back!

Le logement correspond à l'annonce. Très bien situé et facile d'accès. Idéal pour 2 adultes et 1 enfant. En plus tout près, il y a des restaurants, boulangeries et magasins accessible à pied.

What an extraordinary place- it fully exceeded our expectations. Fresh flowers and beautiful gardens really made us feel like we were in the lap of luxury. Such a beautiful and comfortable home! We will be back!

Amazing stay at this apartment/house by the lake. Complete with all kitchen necessities. Heater and AC available. We had one sunny day but managed to have a nice stand up paddle by the lake connected to the house. The view is just incredible and the host is helpful enough to accommodate our needs. Very close to the city center and Italian border. I highly recommend and will consider to come back again!

Wunderschöne Wohnung in zentraler Lage mit Seeblick Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dieser wunderbar gelegenen Wohnung. Die Unterkunft befindet sich sehr zentral – alles ist gut erreichbar – und die beiden Balkone mit Blick auf den See sind ein echtes Highlight. Zwar verläuft eine Straße in unmittelbarer Nähe, doch der Geräuschpegel war überraschend niedrig und hat unseren Aufenthalt kaum gestört. Die Wohnung ist top ausgestattet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt, man merkt sofort, dass hier mit viel Liebe zum Detail gearbeitet wird. Ein großes Plus war auch die herzliche Gastgeberin. Wir hatten das Glück, sie persönlich kennenzulernen, was den Aufenthalt noch persönlicher und angenehmer gemacht hat. Besonders gefreut hat uns auch, dass Hunde erlaubt sind – für uns als Hundebesitzer ein klarer Bonus! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Ich kann leider nur 5 Sterne vergeben, was ich auch getan habe. Eigentlich wären für mein bzw. unser befinden auch mehr Sterne zu vergeben. Die Kommunikation vor unserer Reise war bereits einwandfrei und man hat rechtzeitig und schnell ohne Aufforderung Antworten auf Fragen und sogar schon Info‘s über die Gegebenheiten vor Ort bekommen. Der Check-In sowie der Check-Out verlief Reibungslos. In der Wohnung hat uns überhaupt nichts gefehlt. Ihr könnt super dort buchen und nach dem Koffer auspacken Euren Urlaub genießen. Wirklich!!!!! Andrea mach weiter so. Man merkt an der Liebe im Detail, dass Du das vermieten lebst und nicht nur um Geld zu verdienen.

Wir haben uns in Pamelas wunderschöner Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr liebevolle, durchdachte Einrichtung, alles vorhanden was man braucht, sehr persönlich und liebevoll gestaltet. Für uns als Familie mit 3 Kindern absolut perfekt!! Caslano ist ein hübscher Ort, wir hatten noch das Street Food Festival. Pamelas Tipps fürs Grotto und Take-Away-Pizza waren genial!!!

Wir waren vier Tage in der Unterkunft und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es gibt alles, was man braucht. Es lohnt sich auch, einmal zu Fuß in den Ort zu laufen und durch die kleinen Gässchen zu schlendern. Unten an der Hauptstraße gibt es einen kleinen Feinkostladen, der es uns sehr angetan hat. Innerhalb von 10 Minuten ist man in Stresa und in 20 Minuten in Arona, wo man gut shoppen kann. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
