Waterfront vacation rentals in Ticino

My husband, 6yo daughter, and I stayed at Carolina's apartment for two nights. The large terrace and the view of the lake and mountains are amazing - this alone is worth the stay. The apartment itself, though, was also very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The elevator directly to the apartment is convenient, and parking was very easy. The location is excellent - a quick walk to the lake, and we also walked to Locarno, stopping at multiple playgrounds along the way. There is a Coop gas station with a market nearby for quick groceries, and a bus station is also close. We had lovely autumn weather while there, so I can't speak to temperature control in the warmer months, but we did see several AC units, and there were fans available. All in all, I highly recommend and hope to return sometime very soon!

Practically furnished apartment right on the lake with a very nice, large terrace. Swimming area right behind the house. Very well connected with public transport. Postbus and train within a few minutes' walk.

We were greeted by a very nice lady and concerned about our well-being, Mike is very responsive in communication, very nice accommodation, the environment is ideal for enjoying the mountain and the river.

We really enjoyed the direct location on the lake, just like the proximity to restaurants and gelateria! The apartment is quietly located and we felt very comfortable from the beginning. Yvonne is an extremely friendly host and always responded very quickly to our inquiries. We highly recommend this apartment!

Loved our stay in Lugano, the hosts were extremely responsive to all of our questions, including us having a child. They included toys a high chair, and crib. Hosts were very pleasant and proactive during our stay, checking that everything was ok. Lovely place, extremely clean, would definitely come back!

The apartment is fantastically located right on the water. In the annex, there is a sensational indoor pool that has recently been completely renovated, we were happy to use this offer. There was enough space for us 4 people in the apartment, but it only has a very narrow bathroom which would be unpleasant for us with an occupancy of 6/7 people. The apartment is recommended. Andrea was always easily accessible and very friendly!

Everything was great, we'll be back! We were there with our three children, the surroundings with park and pool right on the lake are perfect. For dinner, you can drive to Campione or Bissone. For daily needs, there is a Coop nearby. Also great as a starting point for trips to Lugano, Como or Locarno! 5 stars gladly again!

Enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of this place for four days. Everything spotless - and with all amenities. House sits in a private park with a couple of other houses. True paradise - we would love to come again. You can walk down to the lago - though ended up taking the car most of the time to get to restaurants. A couple of very nice ones in the area - Riva/Shaka (beach club vibe), Osteria Vairano (magnificent view), Rodolfo (excellent local cuisine)

We had a fantastic stay at this charming and beautifully renovated home! The space is stylishly furnished with great attention to detail, and the kitchen was well equipped. One of our favorite parts was the lovely jasmine scent that greeted us each time we came in, adding a relaxing and fresh touch. The outdoor area is a true highlight — peaceful and beautifully set up for relaxing in the evening. It’s a hidden gem, tucked away yet close to so many things to do in the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and would absolutely return!

A great host, a beautiful rustico in a wonderful location. We were in transit with two children, we all would have liked to have stayed longer. Florent responded quickly to all requests, e.g. for a possibly earlier check-in. The amenities are generous and the furnishings cozy. In addition, it is very quiet and you can relax superbly. We will be happy to come back!

We had a wonderful week in this romantic rustico. The kids loved the winding cottage and the stairs and paths in the garden. The stairs to the upper bedroom are really very steep and the door to the lower room very narrow. For sporty people everything is no problem😉. The house has everything it needs, well equipped kitchen, we also loved the fireplace. The outdoor area is unbeatable - we were lucky we had nice weather. Especially the morning vibe with views of the river and mountains was sensational. Thanks a lot!

Perfect airbnb for your stay on lake Lugano!

Silvia's small rustic apartment was nicely and practically furnished. To enter the apartment, you climb an external staircase two floors up. The sleeping area with two beds in the apartment itself is also accessible only via steep stairs. At night you also have to use these stairs to get to the toilet. For us, that was still doable. But for guests with walking and balance difficulties, this could be a problem. The location in the small village on the mountainside was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed it very much in this apartment and this area.

Marugg's place exceeded all of our expectations!!!! Lugano was our final stop on our 2 week family trip through Italy. We experienced many beautiful places throughout the 2 weeks but Marugg's place exceeded them all!!! The attention to detail was phenomenal. The location was 'perfetto,' the views spectacular and the home pristine. Our grandchildren made excellent use of the pool and the outdoor space was incredible! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the expansive patio area soaking in the tranquil views of the lake and all of the beautiful flowers. The smell of honeysuckle abounded outdoors ~ Marugg's home truly encompassed all of the senses. We cannot recommend it enough and we can't wait to return on our next visit to see our Swiss family! Marugg, thank you so much for your kind hospitality! We feel honored to have been welcomed into your exceptional home. We made so many beautiful memories with our family. One of the most stunning locations you can imagine on Lugano. Right on the lake, 3 storeyed and superbly kept. Don't think. Just go for it if you are considering Lugano. Fantabulous views.

The Grischina in Locarno is a beautiful apartment on the Lido di Locarno with great views of Lake Maggiore and the mountains. The terrace is huge... All rooms are clean and cozy. We felt very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bathhouse is right across the street and the center of Locarno is a quick walk away. The nearest bus stop is a 2-minute walk away. We had a great 5 days in this quiet yet central apartment. We will definitely come back. Arrivederci Grischina!
