Approx 8 miles from Edinburgh city centre and 2 miles from Portabello. Musselburgh Race Course is a short walk away, Musselburgh high street a 5 minute walk, Gullane and other golf courses nearby. New conversion 2 minute walk to Brunstane train station then a 7 minute journey to Edinburgh Waverley city centre, trains are every 30 minutes into town. Great Lothian Regional Transport (LRT) buses nearby as well. A lovely 20 minute walk into Portobello for loads of bars and restaurants plus the bonus of being right next to the beach. About 30 minutes drive to some of the most beautiful golf courses in Scotland.

Just what we needed. We had a busy few days planned in the area, and needed a base outside Edinburgh with parking. Jennifer's cottage was spacious, clean and warm. Nice touches including board games provided, some breakfast cereal and milk.

Apartment was well presented and equipped. Public transport right outside door to take you to Edinburgh city centre. Good local Restaurants. Host was very friendly and professional and had lots of good advice on what to do and where to eat.

A well-appointed bedroom features a four-poster bed with a deep blue and white color scheme. Crisp linens are neatly arranged on the bed, with towels placed on the foot. Natural light enters through a large window, adorned with striped curtains.

I must confess that at first I thought it was too far away, but in the end it allowed us to get to know places that otherwise would have passed us by, such as Portobello, a true beauty. Alan always responded quickly and was flexible to our request to extend the stay. The accommodation is very beautiful, comfortable, with all the necessary amenities and the host also had the courtesy to leave us basic things to prepare some meals, hygiene and cleaning. I would definitely be staying here again.
