Kid-friendly vacation rentals in West Pennington

Thank you Tom for the hospitality and the last minute accommodations! Tom was so friendly and so helpful during our stay! Attesting to many of the great reviews: the place was very nice - so clean, as described, and felt so homey. It’s the little things that stood out - the nice toilet paper (haha), the plush towels, (many) warm blankets, and of course the nice accommodations. Place felt so clean - our 5 year old sat on the floor of the living room and played w some of toys that were available. Really wish we could’ve stayed longer - maybe perhaps one day if we are able to return!

Our stay was fantastic. Wonderful location outside of Rapid City. Perfect living spaces and a beautiful creek. We will be back!

We loved staying at Ryan’s place! Clean and comfy. Backyard was perfect for our dog. My nephews loved the toys Ryan had. It was perfect for what we needed!

This tiny home was super cute and was right up the road from downtown Deadwood. The house is very private and quite literally off the map - but our host provided very accurate directions since Google maps doesn’t take you the correct way. Would definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area!

Our family of seven enjoyed our week stay at Joel and Diana’s place.! The beds were comfy, the location was great for doing day trips in the Black Hills and the setting was peaceful and beautiful for relaxing in the evenings. We really enjoyed watching the sunset and star gazing from the deck. Diana and Joel were excellent at communicating and making sure all was going well. If we are back in the area, we would definitely go back!

What a gem! It was the perfect spot to relax after exploring all the natural beauty that South Dakota has to offer. The city itself isn’t overly touristy, which was just what we were looking for, plus the houses with an easy walking distance to many restaurants for dinner and drinks. The neighborhood was nice and quiet so we could sleep well at night and get ready to do all of our adventures the next day.

We loved this home. It was clean and well stocked with supplies and kitchen needs. We especially appreciated the healthful touches like the filtered water and salt lamps. Beds were comfortable. Host Dace showed us around upon arrival and kept in touch.

My mom, stepdad, and I stayed here with our dog, and we will 100% be back. They were very welcoming and friendly people. The place itself is beautiful and peaceful. It was perfect distance between Rapid City and Custer with plenty of places to eat (very delicious ones that are dog friendly at that). Their two dogs, Sadie and Bruce, are so friendly and well behaved. They had everything we needed and MORE! Finding an airbnb that is not only dog friendly, but dog accommodating can be pretty hard, but staying here was an instant stress reliever. The place was very clean and well put together. Not to mention, they even had books on recommended trails and parks to visit (with a handful of trails tabbed which was really helpful). All in all, this airbnb is well worth its 5-star reviews! Thank you guys again for the amazing stay from Kalli, Crystal, Chris, and Sequoyah!

One of the best trips we have been on, the biggest part of that was meeting and staying at Deb’s…and we can’t leave out Jake her friendly golden! Easy walk to downtown and to hiking paths and trails. Deb was an amazing tour guide in showing us White Rock and also local places to eat and see. The house is cozy and feels like home, it also has a beautiful yard you can relax in when you need a break! The location is hard to beat with the perfect mix of privacy and closeness to downtown and tourist attractions! We are already planning a trip back down to visit Deb and Jake again!

Great location and comfy bed! Such a cool, modern place. Easy to find and in walking distance to restaurants and some shops. Would recommend if you’re looking for a place near the airport.

The space was well stocked, well kept, comfortable, and a great value for the stay! Alesha was wonderful at communicating and made the booking process very simple. If you're sensitive to cigarette smoke, it might be important to know that the adjacent tenants like to be outside when you are, and they smoke, but we would definitely rent this space again!

Paul’s property was beautiful. It was in a gorgeous area tucked into the woods, and it was so peaceful. My friends and I had a wonderful time in the cozy little studio, the hot tub, sauna, and around the fire. The space was very clean and quaintly decorated. Paul was so kind and helpful. We all talked about how much we would love to stay there again!

I loved my stay. I got great use out of the desk that is in the room. The host is very accommodating, and took it on her own to make sure that my needs were met. The room is very comfortable. The kitchen are was well provided. The bathroom is small but clean and pristine. It is very affordabale and I was even refunded a day's fees when my schedule changed. I didn't expect that but it was very nice to be refunded. Janet makes Airbnb look great! I would definitely stay there again if I ever found myself back in beautiful Rapid City.

Cliff & Mary are very hospitable and kind hosts. The fresh-baked cookies from Mary and the in-person welcome and tour from Cliff upon arrival set this place apart. Quiet, safe and comfortable location. Enjoyed our stay!

Cute place way up on the mountain. Big space, but very cozy. The front door automatically locks when it is closed, so be sure to bring your key if you run out to the car for something. (Ask us how we know 😂) Bed was comfortable, kitchen was well appointed, even sippy cups for little people. Close to Deadwood restaurants. Hot tub right outside the door. About equidistant (1 1/2hour drive) to Mount Rushmore/Crazy Horse, Custer State Park or Devils Tower in the other direction. Beautiful country and scenery.

Everything about Grandma's House was perfect. Very nice space in a very quite neighborhood. Centrally located to everything in the Rapid City and Black Hills area. We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was clean and exactly as described. Cyndie is the perfect host and has thought of everything, right down to providing snacks. All instructions were clear and easy to follow. We will definitely book again should we come this way.

My family had a great time at this airBnB! It was clean and welcoming, our host was extremely responsive and helpful and we had zero complaints. We would definitely come back and we appreciated the lower price which added a low stress factor to our trip. My brother mentioned that he most appreciated the quality toilet paper that was provided and I told him I would be sure to mention that for him. Overall it was a wonderful stay and a great place to stay in Lead with hosts who clearly care about their guests. Thank you!!

Perfect place for us to stay in while visiting the Black Hills. Loved having the amenities of home - grill, dishwasher, fridge, oven, laundry - plus the added perk of the pools.

Wonderful two bedroom condo. Well equipped with everything needed. Host very helpful and quick to respond. Good location. 10 min from Deadwood. Would definitely stay again!

Great Spot in the beautiful Black Hills! Really loved staying at this condo! Super clean, plenty of towels, lots of coffee pods and just like the listing said. It was easy to get to, close to downtown, and the view of the town and Black Hills was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again—highly recommend!

The place was immaculate when we got inside. The hosts had everything we needed and were very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed the stay here as it was close to both Terry Peak skiing and Deadwoood. We would definitely stay here again!

Budi’s Door 4 was the perfect location for our weekend in Deadwood. You simply can’t beat the location of this property and it was so amazing to stay in a building with so much history. Budi was an amazing, kind, and responsive host. We’ll hope to stay at Door 4 every time we visit from now on!
