Great spot with all the basics needed for a short stay

The shepherds hut and the location was perfect for us. We have loved the peaceful nature surrounding us. The owner, Chris was helpful and we got all the instructions that helped us to find some closeby experienced when we needed.

molly dishwasher is in an absolutely stunning location the pictures don't do justice to how stunning this place is your surrounded by the most beautiful views in the most peaceful location, me and my family had the most amazing 2 nights staying here and the little personal touches added on top just make it that much more special, moppy is an amazing host and let the boys help feed the animals on the last night which they absolutely loved, there is another hut on site but you cant see them so you have amazing privacy. I can see why lots of people who stay here are on there 7th visit as its a place you'll want to re visit after staying. we will defiantly be back soon, thank you for an amazing stay.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Shepherds Hut. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and relaxed with a nice Barbeque ( which was provided!). The highlight was lighting the fire pit in the evening and huddling around the flames. Kellie was super helpful, and the kitchen/ bathroom had everything we needed. We would love to come back!

Located in a wonderful private garden full of flowers and birdsong. Next to walks and good for cycling; definitely planning to come back.

A peaceful retreat - perfect for a weekend getaway.

We had a lovely one night stay. Beautifully finished hut and being able to have a hot tub watching the sunset was a joy! We feel for Andrew, our host, as the building permissions stalling mean the view from the hut is less than ideal. But it did not spoil our stay

Lovely stay for a few nights. The orchard is beautiful and completely enclosed even for our small dog (and child) so we could let him run around. Next to a quiet road, with occasional cars, the area is peaceful with the sounds of birds and occasionally the cows. We loved having the dining hut too so we could spread out a bit and toast marshmallows. Our five year old loved Dinosaur Island in the nearby country park and paddling in the lake there. We also had a wonderful day out on the Bluebell railway. Great short trip!

We had a fantastic stay at Bluebell woods. The site was well designed, and full of thoughtful and kind touches which made our stay really comfortable. The woods were beautiful and felt private. Lucy and Nathan were helpful and relaxed hosts and made us feel at home. It was a really unique and fun experience and we are looking forward to staying again in the future

We had a great stay at Janet’s place- I loved the view, cute longhorn cattle’s and cows, local environment and the pool! There is actually so much to do; walk in the wild, visit some places around (like the rare breeds centre nearby), doing some barbecue and chilling in the pool. I loved every single bit of the experience. The cottage was so beautiful as well; I would definitely come back and trust me this is the first time I ever wanted to come back to an airbnb.

Just spent the last couple nights in the shepherds hut hosted by Madison, she was extremely friendly and was a delight to communicate with, check in and out was incredibly easy and me and my Girlfriend had a great time!

absolutely lovely "Shepherd's hut" in an ideal location to explore Tenterden and the local area. The Hot Tub is definitely an added bonus. Would certainly recommend 👌

We had a fabulous stay! Upon arrival we could hear and see trains but we needn’t have worried as we both slept really well. The perfect get away!

We enjoyed our stay at Starnash Farmhouse. We were a party of 8 (adults and children), so the plentiful space for parking 3 cars was appreciated, as was the ground floor bedroom. The accommodation was well equipped with everything we needed, including plenty of reading material. A glitch in the kitchen meant that we briefly had no oven, but owner Dave responded quickly and alternative arrangements were made available immediately, with no fuss or inconvenience to us. The children loved the animals that roamed nearby, particularly the chickens. We also booked the well equipped Shepherd’s Hut in the grounds (sleeps 2), just a few metres from the house. The children loved using this to “play house”, and the adults used it as a quiet escape from time to time. Even in late October, there are many places nearby to visit (with or without children), and excellent local facilities in nearby Dicker, Hailsham. I would heartily recommend Starnash as a place to stay at any time of year,

Liz was very friendly and helpful, very responsive to the questions we asked to clarify about the need to bring barbecue charcoal and that there is mains water supply. Liz also supplied us with a replacement bin liner unprompted, and a top up of fire pit wood for the second night. Great attention to detail. We really welcomed the fact that there were towels, toiletries, marshmallows and a little bottle of fizz - some lovely touches. A fabulous spot!

We had a lovely stay at Dom’s place. The location is perfect for a couple of days’ break from London, especially if - like us - you don’t drive; it is just a short distance from the station and for a 40 minute journey from zone 1, feels a world away. Dom was very accommodating, especially as we brought our 3 month old baby. The baby enjoyed his first ever swim in the lovely warm pool! And the rest of the amenities/ the hut itself are equally excellent. Would also highly recommend a trip to the Samuel Palmer pub for a pint of locally brewed ale, and the Mount Vineyard for some excellent wines, both of which are a short walk from the hut. Would definitely stay again, thanks Dom!

Our stay at Kim's place was excellent. If you are after some peace and quiet, then this place is for you. Kim met us upon arrival, was friendly and very helpful. We couldn't have asked for more and no doubt we will definitely be returning! Raj and Judit

An amazing property, lovely location, super clean cabin with everything you could need and more! Fiona was extremely welcoming and helpful, all the information provided was clear and easy to follow, there was a number of extras in the property at check in and always at the end of the phone for any information we needed on the area. A lovely place to kick back and relax for a few days, with everything I needed. A nice hot shower, comfortable bed, hob and fridge, and a woodburner. And I even saw deer, geese (complete with goslings), a hare and a badger. Perfect :)

The Goods Truck is tucked away in a secluded spot in the Kent countryside. If you`re looking for somewhere to unwind this is the place to be. Rachael and Ali are very friendly hosts and make it clear they want their guests to be happy and comfortable. Rachael is very good at replying to any queries you may have. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break.

I found Emma's place by accident when I was looking for somewhere for my husband and I to have a couple of days to reset and switch off. It was exactly what I didn't know I needed. The setting is beautiful, and even the rain sounded so peaceful from inside. It's a perfect little bolthole with everything you need and Emma gave us privacy but made sure to keep in touch to see if we needed anything. We took a lovely walk to Balfour winery for a fizzy pitstop before walking round into Marden for some local lunch and then back to the Hut. Exactly the change of scenery we needed. The little gifts of cookies and strawberries were lovely to discover after an evening arrival and the Hut really is decorated perfectly. Is there anything more peaceful than having a cup of tea in bed looking out onto a sea of Christmas trees, listening to the wildlife. We will definitely be back.

Our stay was just perfect! We travelled from Lincolnshire to attend a family party. My partner, myself, 13-year old daughter and our two dogs - you’d think it would be a tad crowded but the shepherds hut was still spacious, tucked away and in a great position in the orchard. The decking area was lovely, a bistro set and some sun loungers, gated as well; which was ideal for giving the dogs some freedom without causing an annoyance for the animals on the farm. Charlotte had provided a punnet of fresh cherries from the orchard - they were delicious! The bathroom was a very short walk from the shepherds hut, and we didn’t mind that one bit. Charlottes is very responsive and the hut had everything you might need plus some extra touches. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend - will book again! Thank you, Charlotte, your place is just lovely and you’re a fantastic host!

Amazing few days. Very peaceful and relaxing. Loved the hot tub and enclosed field for the dog. Hosts super helpful, couldn’t have asked for anything more. Enough to do nearby but also relax at the hideaway. Couldn’t recommend enough and hope to be back!
