Cottage vacation rentals in Västernorrland County

We spent the end of year holidays in Maria's cottage and do not regret our choice for a single moment. The location is idyllic, by the lake and close to many hiking trails. The cottage is comfortable and very well decorated, large enough for a family of 4. The accommodation has a direct view of the lake, we were able to observe the beautiful sunrises. The sauna is very simple to use, perfect for winter evenings. The environment is very quiet and peaceful. To go shopping or for activities you have to take the car, the roads can be a bit surprising when you're not used to them. Maria is a very friendly, responsive and considerate host. We had a great time during this stay.

It was a very nice holiday. The house and location are wonderful. Our hosts were just great, nothing left to be desired. We were helped with a problem with our car, as if you had known each other for a long time. I would recommend it, yes, absolutely.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage in Norrfällsviken! The cottage was cozy, well equipped and perfect for our group of four. The location was incredibly scenic with proximity to both hiking trails, golf course, beach and the sea. Sigrid was very friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We especially appreciated the quiet surroundings. We would absolutely recommend this home to others and look forward to coming back!

Fantastic cozy and nice cabin. Nicely decorated. Nice nature around. It was magically quiet on New Year's Eve without lots of fireworks. Amazing northern lights on New Year's Day. The host lives on the property where the cottage is located but never felt like we disturbed each other. The host is very helpful and nice to communicate with. Feel free to rent there again.

We enjoyed staying at Linda's place very much. The cabin had a great location for our liking: directly next to the forest and hills, close to tourist attractions, but still private. The view was fantastic, our dog enjoyed the quiet and we had a cosy fire in the fireplace one evening. We knew from the description that the place would be basic, but it was sufficient for us to be comfortable. We had problems with the wifi and the warm water in the shower. This was a bit of a shame as we had specifically chosen a place that has Wifi. However, any place can have problems and what matters is how they are being dealt with. Linda responded almost immediately and tried to solve the issues from afar while she was traveling herself.

It is so nice here. The cottage is really perfect, we are here for a long time and feel completely at home. Don't want to leave and recommend it for anyone who wants to live in the forest in a beautiful home. Every morning we walk out of the forest with the dogs where it is wonderfully quiet and quiet. Jörgen and Agnieszka are very nice neighbors.

Gitte welcomed us very kindly and we felt very welcome from the beginning. The small, pretty and very cozy cottage is well and very lovingly furnished, nothing is missing! It is wonderfully quiet and hiking is possible from the house, the Höga Kustenleden leads directly past it. You can shop well in Nordingrå (5 min by car). The direct access to the water was also super nice: We were allowed to use Gitte's own terrace (fantastic for fika!) and the jetty for the kayak. Gitte was super easy to reach when needed and always very friendly and attentive. We felt very comfortable all around: Tack så mycket för allt, kära Gitte!

A pleasant mix of old and luxurious decor... we 2 enjoyed the huge house with horses, birds chirping and the nice hosts as neighbors. Recommended for anyone who loves the countryside.

We were able to rent this house during our emigration process from the Netherlands to Sweden. The house is fully equipped, and the landlord was very helpful with questions and is there for you when necessary. We felt at home and welcome during our almost 3 month stay. The area of ​​Ragunda and Hammarstrand is very beautiful in winter in combination with the snow. There is a supermarket in Hammarstrand and for shopping we usually went to Östersund or Sundsvall. Inger was warm , simple and clear and you felt welcome one right away. The place if you are looking for water close and cozy cabin, with wood-fired sauna, wood fired stove plus everything that is in a modern kitchen. If you want peace for the soul or fishing, and get to town ( close to Östersund. ) The place gave you the feeling of not wanting to go home, does the next say everything ? // Lasse

Wouther and Anki were the best hosts. They were really nice to us and I've never experienced such hospitality via Airbnb. We didn't want to leave! Much love to both of you Valle and Anki! We will definitely come back, hopefully next summer! Other than that, the house was amazing - clean, modern and super coisy! Worth every penny!

A fantastic place with wonderful views, its own sandy beach as well as the tranquility of the area. Can really be recommended if you want a quiet and relaxing environment.

My mother and I stayed at Ulrika's cottage for a few days & had a lovely time. Everything was as described and as shown in the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The bedrooms were very comfortable as well. Our favorite spot was the glazed balcony where it was toasty and warm in the sun and we could watch the changing scenery on the lake. It is quite close to E4, however far enough away to be totally peaceful and quiet. Ulrika was very helpful with every aspect of our stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her cottage to anyone seeking a peaceful place to stay out in nature. Many thanks!

We had a great week at Hans’s place. The house is very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed our time in the nature. It was wonderful!
