Cornwall cottage The Old Piggery

GeorgiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely time here at The Old Piggery. The space was perfect for a few days exploring the area while we were down for a wedding. We especially loved having a cuppa in our own private little garden. Julie was very attentive and it felt more homely here than previous stays I’ve found on Airbnb! We arrived late and found pastries, some biscuits and milk for tea and coffee ready for us.
A rustic wooden sign is displayed on a gray table, featuring the words 'The Winky Wonky Watershed' painted in light blue. Brightly colored flowers in a planter add a touch of nature to the scene.

Historic Cartuther Barton Cottage with a view

WendyRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What can I say Bonnie and David are not Superhosts they are way beyond that! They were so friendly and accommodating right from the start, especially after I quite literally fell at David’s feet. The cottage was delightfully decorated and had everything you required and more. The bed , once I’d managed to climb into it was so comfortable. The welcome goodies were much appreciated and the dogs were a delight, my Mum wanted to bring Layla home. The views over the valley from the garden were stunning, you didn’t notice the busy road a little to the right. It was so relaxing. The cottage probably isn’t ideal for people with limited mobility like me, the stairs are a bit of a challenge but I was determined to stay and I managed. I have visited Cartuther Barton since being a young child, staying in the main farmhouse when it was a B&B. Bonnie was kind enough to give us a tour and it was wonderful to see Bonnie’s and David’s restoration of the property back to its manorial origins.
The exterior of the cottage showcases a traditional stone façade complemented by wooden window frames. A gravel pathway leads to the entrance, surrounded by greenery and blooming flowers. Sunlight highlights the charming architectural details against a clear blue sky.

Fantastic property and wonderful friendly hosts. Would highly recommend as easy location for Looe and surrounding area and easy access to major routes to travel further down to other locations in Cornwall. Julie and Roger made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble including extra towels and flexible check in and out which was very helpful. Thank you both and we will be back!!

Cosy country getaway for 1 or 2- Close to the sea

NatashaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay in the Shepard’s hut. It has everything you need for a lovely night away and everything you need if you want to cook while you’re there. The bed was lovely and comfortable. I’ve seen a few other reviews mention the green safety light but it’s very dim and once you close your eyes you are none the wiser. Gina was really helpful with local information too before we arrived which really benefitted our stay. The views are gorgeous as is the hut!
