Family-friendly vacation rentals in Texas City

Thanks for a very comfortable stay @ your Airbnb. Would recommend it to anyone who visits Houston.The place is ideally located, within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. Having a Garage and laundry facility was super helpful . Trent is very responsive. We had a plumbing issue. Trent fixed it at the earliest. Thank you Trent for an enjoyable experience.

We enjoyed our stay. House was as described & was stocked well. Our only disappointment was in the containers/tops lacking in kitchen. Sleeping was perfect for our crew. We loved the lower level & outside seating— great outside access for our large group. We did wish there could have been some flexibility on check-in without fee but we understood. Kitchen was stocked well and house was decorated nicely. We did however find the temperatures of house to be very hot upon arrival and it took a while to cool off. Fridge was broken when we arrived(caught next day), it did throw a wrench in things for us (some food was unsafe to consume) but the matter was handled quickly & we appreciated the speedy fix and accommodations in the meantime. Very responsive host who remediated the situation and was apologetic throughout. Couldn’t have been handled any better. Easy to get to beach & instructions for house, beach accesss & everything else. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a RESET.

Great Condo!!! Great location… ocean across the street. 3 pools and a hot tub- all areas well maintained. The condo was so cute and very comfortable- well stocked with necessities and more.

I had an amazing experience at this Airbnb! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The host was outstanding—friendly, responsive, and genuinely committed to making sure I had a great visit. The location was perfect—close to everything I needed, yet quiet and peaceful for a good night’s sleep. I couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home. I’ll definitely be booking here again the next time I’m in the area!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was our first family vacation with our toddler. Everything went smoothly and we were able to create great memories. Gary & Anna were very responsive and helpful!

loved our stay. the house easily accommodated 3 generations with different interests. the bedrooms were a good size and the open living/dining area made it easy to gather. the hot tub was a huge hit with everyone and the outdoor shower made it easy to get the sand off. Great house!

Our family had a great, relaxing time at Mary's place. Easy beach access, easy driving access. The provided beach stuff really made a difference for our kids. Would happily stay here again!

This place was absolutely perfect! My teenage son loved the fishing my 10 year old loved the kayaking and my husband and I loved how peaceful the surroundings were! Definitely coming back!! Thank you Robin for this magnificent stay!

Wonderful place to stay including beach supplies and 6 person golf cart to get to beach. House was only 1 1/2 blocks away from beach so it was great for taking walks on the beach. This beach area is away from crowded beaches in Galveston town and offered considerable space when relaxing on the beach. Very clean home with good size kitchen and wide open living area. Hostess maintained frequent contact to make sure everything was going well and if we had any additional needs. Highly recommend this home to stay at when in Galveston area.

Wow! What an incredible place and an incredible host. We've stayed at over 30 Airbnbs and this is the only host that has gone this above and beyond - stocking the kitchen in anticipation of our Thanksgiving feast, a doggie basket with toys for our pups, a gorgeous pecan dessert and yummy pasta/sauce on the kitchen table, a zoom call to welcome us and to find out what else we needed (she ordered us more kitchen utensils & a fan from Target). The home feels like a home. Super clean, lots of character - high ceilings, lovely woodwork, lots of light, a sweet fully fenced in yard, and large comfy bedrooms. There are two bathrooms but everyone ends up using 1 upstairs as their main bathroom since it's the one with a shower - not an issue for us just FYI. The neighborhood is super walkable - so many gorgeous homes on every block. Easy to get to the Strand, beach and Broadway. Two thumbs way up for people with or without dogs! Simply amazing. We stayed here for a couple of nights while waiting to move into our new house, and found it clean, as described, with great communication from the host. It met our needs perfectly!

After our original rental was not ready for us, Kevin and Katerina's place was open and they accepted our request and had us settled in very promptly. We were very grateful! And the property was perfect for our vacation to begin with. High praise here!

Great place to stay. Felt right at home. Beautiful home and gated yard, which was great for our dog. The owner even had extra things for us when we arrived which was so sweet. We will definitely be staying there again when we come back to Houston.

Great and reasonably priced place to stay that is just located right across the beach and minutes from the pier! Was small and cozy, but had everything we needed for our stay! Would definitely stay again:)

Great place for two families with toddlers to spend a long weekend! The view from the balcony was great, and the pool and the lazy river were a ton of fun. The room itself was good for a long weekend, but it might have felt a little cramped if the stay was much longer than that. Overall, we really enjoyed this place and will definitely consider it for our next trip to Galveston!

We originally got the house for summer 2024 but the hurricane burlin had ruined it and we had to leave after just one night and Gloria was very understanding and professional and allowed us to reschedule for another time. We recently stayed there and continued our stay there and everything was just as we expected, everything clean, everything we needed to cook with was there, the patio was awesome to sit on day and night. She even recommended a hidden spot to see some peacocks and it was a fun adventure. Overall, you won’t regret the stay there!!! 10/10 highly recommended

Our stay for work at Lodgeur was great! Clean apartment, well equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. Overall we recommend this location!

The apartment was so nice. We loved the location. It was 10 minutes to MD Anderson. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was really nice. Loved the island in the kitchen. The bathtub was so big and nice in the main bath. Would definitely recommend. The pool was beautiful. The pool table on the third floor the whole room was a great space to relax in.

Excellent stay-we rent a beach house for our five sons and families every summer-this was the best. Very responsive, attentive host. Very accommodating. Complete kitchen with large pots and skillets for a large group-especially appreciated the griddle and crock pot. Plenty of silverware, dishes, and cups for a large group. Plenty of towels-not just bath, but also beach towels! Great location-just walk across the street to the beach. Loved the beach toys for the kids and even a rake for the seaweed. Three bathrooms AND an outdoor shower! Two downstairs bedrooms were great for one son with a disability and one couple needing quiet from the baby. Lots of games to play and even books to read. Parking was amazing- driveway makes it so no one was boxed in. We really recommend Lucky's Lookout.

Great place to stay. I had booked a hotel for my weekend trip to Houston but when I got to it, it was in an area that didn’t feel safe. I was so stressed out about the situation because it was just me and my daughter traveling. Luckily we were able to book this place. I was looking for something safe. This place felt extremely safe and the check in process was easy. I also liked the location. Overall great stay, would stay here again.
