We had an amazing stay with Rie and her family, you feel like home, they treat you very well and welcome you at their home because literally is where they live and they run this cozy B&B with a bakery where they make themselves delicious Baumkuchen. The place is located near the Norikura peak, you have amazing views and for nature lovers is a must, from here you can visit very easy kamikochi mountains as well. I will recommend this place for anyone who wants to connect with nature.

This accommodation is a renovated traditional house. Spend a quiet and relaxing time with the changing of the four seasons. Also open as a cafe during the day. Entire unit rental. Limited to one group. Vegan menu available. Long-term stay discounts for one week or more. 1 hour drive from Kanazawa station. Komatsu Airport is 45 minutes by car. About 2.5 hours by car to Shirakawago, Gifu Prefecture. Gokayama as well. From June to early November, it is easily accessible via the Hakusan White Road. This is a great place to stay in Hida, the host was very accommodating in welcoming us and walked us through the house. She also helped us get a reservation when the restaurant did not speak english. The house is super nice and a great deal.

Our stay at Iori’s place in Hida-Furukawa was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The house itself is a beautiful blend of traditional Japanese charm and modern comfort—immaculately clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. They even have the heated floor, an onsen bath and very comfortable beds! The location was perfect, nestled in the heart of Hida-Furukawa, allowing us to easily explore the town’s picturesque streets, historic temples, and serene canals. Iori was an exceptional host—friendly, responsive, and full of great recommendations for local food, sights, and hidden gems. We got lost in the wrong station once and we're very grateful that they came and help Staying here truly made our trip unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return! B&B with the best music studio

There's two reasons you might want to book this wonderful space. The second reason is the "secret" you will want to tell your friends about. But first... The first reason is simply that it is a traditional Takayama home with the "authentic" experience of beautiful tatami mats and architecture, hosted by the most kind and lovely owners. It's literally across the road from a stunning series of shrines and temples, the onsen next door is available to guests, and you get a whole floor to yourself to come and go. The OTHER reason is why this will eventually be a legendary place to book. Namely that the owner is famous music producer from the 80s/90s, who worked on movies like Akira, TV like Cowboy Bebop, and hundreds of pop albums. His wife is also an accomplished singer. This is THE place to book for a quiet, creative, and productive space to write a book, music, or make art. Takayama is stunning as it is, but to be surrounded by legendary music history? Amazing. I'll be back!

I would recommend this place any time! The breakfast was so lovely every morning. It was lovely to feed the carp in the morning and walk the quaint and peaceful town. The outdoor back was so nice, I even relaxed and listened to the rain one night while soaking. It was perfect. I’m so happy I stayed in Hida.

We spent one night in Takayama and selected Iori. This was a great decision. The home was beautiful and historical. The host was friendly and professional. He made us feel well looked after. The host went above and beyond in welcoming us and answering any questions we had. The beds were warm and comfortable. We loved using the outdoor bath. It was cold outside but toasty warm in the tub. The chef delivered our tasty breakfast in the morning. Such a lovely touch. We highly recommend this home and host.
