Beach house vacation rentals in St Ives

Before we had checked out, we had reserved for next year. A superb property, in a beautiful, quiet location, but is just 10 minutes walk away from bars and restaurants. 1 minute walk from a beach, next door to an historic ancient church and absolutely idyllic. Highly recommended.

We borrowed buckets and spades (and trucks and diggers) from the collection in the shed and took the short walk down to the lovely sandy beach most days. My granddaughter had heaps of fun playing in the shallow pools and golden sand in the sun. There were bodyboards too, but she's a little little for that just yet. Nanny was usually to be found observing us from the comfort of the Cove Cafe and admiring the wonderful vista - St Ives Bay in the sunshine (which is also the view from the house itself). The bravest of us swam in the chilly sea and returned invigorated, eyes sparkling. Suki charged about with energy and enthusiasm, greeting every other dog on the beach. We highly recommend this place. Notes: It's a flat beach, so the sea is very close a high tide and a long way off at low tide. Eating out in Cornwall is expensive. The house has a well-equipped kitchen and there is a Lidl and M&S Food Hall nearby if you are minded to eat in. The train St Erth<->St Ives is a nice option.

This place is a real gem and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for beautiful views, peace and serenity. It's within a short walk of amazing beaches and close to all local amenities that you need. St. Ives is easily accessible and we used it as a base for many other Cornish locations - Penzance, Land's End and Falmouth were an easy drive away. The property itself, aside from being in a great location, was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and had all amenities that were advertised and the pictures in the listing were accurate and recent. Karen was a great host, very responsive and left a number of goodies in the kitchen to welcome us, which was an extra special touch that we didn't expect. We stayed for 7 nights and could easily have stayed longer.

As a family of 4 the property was ideal, it had all the amenities required for our 4 day stay. The property is stunning, so tastefully furnished and decorated, it is in a prime location with stunning sea views. Its location is great for strolling into Penzance and a short car journey to local sites, such as the Minack theatre, which is well worth a visit as well as St Ives. We were luckily enough to meet Lenn during our stay, he knows the area well and gave some great suggestions as well as being a great host, we found the property easily and followed Lenn’s instructions to a tee, we would recommend Lenn and Gord’s beautiful property, and was very sad to leave it to come home, a stunning find x

A gorgeous house within walking distance of Hayle beach. The house was brilliantly appointed and was very comfortable. Gorgeous views over the estuary enhanced our stay. Annie was a great host - very responsive and informative.

We had a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage. The property is really clean and beautifully decorated and in the most perfect location right in the heart of St Ives.

We had a wonderful stay. The house and its surroundings were exactly as described – it really does have the feel of a luxury hotel, but with the warmth and space of a home. It’s beautifully decorated, spacious, and welcoming. The views are stunning, and the beach is just a stone’s throw away – perfect for our 4.5-year-old to walk to. Town is also just a short five-minute stroll away. We’d also highly recommend Highlanes Fish & Chips – only a five-minute drive and well worth it. All in all, a lovely stay. Clean, spacious, fantastic views, and a brilliant location.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is in a great location for the surf beach, the harbour and the town. Everything was spotless and there some helpful home comforts added. The house is also very peaceful and quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely stunning location! The views are outstanding and the private access direct to the estuary/beach is great. The garden is steep but that’s to be expected, we made great use of the pool and hot tub and it was an added bonus that we could use the paddle boards! The house its self is beautiful and spotlessly clean. A few things do need sorting though, there was the odd missing door handle, bifold doors are hard to use and the master bathroom door didn’t close. However these didn’t bother us at all as everything else was perfect. Easy walking distance to Crantock and Fistral beaches, which were both beautiful. We would 100% book again! We had the most fantastic big family holiday here! The property easily accommodated 9 adults plus a wee one, with the hot tub and the games room being great bonuses to add to our enjoyment. The whole house was brilliantly equipped with excellent furnishings both inside and out on the patio, had very comfortable beds and the cleaning products and soap etc were very much appreciated. Having the Londis shop so close was very handy and we enjoyed some delicious food at the Jam Jar cafe/pizzeria just down the road. Newquay is just a short car ride away with all the beaches, supermarkets and restaurants you could ever want. There just wasn’t enough time to do everything we would have liked to do…..so we will just have to come back again!! Thank you for an amazing property where we could all gather and enjoy such a memorable holiday.

Beautiful house. We stayed with our baby and Sarah was really helpful when I messaged about the travel cot and highchair. Spacious parking space on a driveway. Lovely clean and spacious rooms. Would definitely stay again!

We’re so glad we chose to stay at Halula Beach House for my hen do weekend, it was the perfect pad! Pool, hot tub, silent disco, huge table we could all sit round… and just a few minutes walk to the gorgeous beach. Would highly recommend it!

Alan has provided clear details to reach the location and check in was easier. Place was clean and has all necessary amenities. No issues during our entire stay and we enjoyed the vacation.

We loved our family stay at William’s place! It was loaded with all the amenities that we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked. The heated pool was a great addition when the ocean was cold. The location was amazing…walk into town or take the Ferry across to Padstow for lots of great shopping and eateries. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property with a lovely seaview. It has a fully functioning kitchen with all the utensils you could need and a very comfortable sitting area. The property was spotless and very tastfully decorated. Melanie was informative and sent us lots of suggestions. It was very easy to check in. When we arrived there were essentials in the kitchen which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to staying there again.

Corri’s cottage is fabulous, beautifully decorated with comfortable sofas and beds. Kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed to cook on the few evenings we didn’t eat out. Lovely garden with sofas/chairs to lounge on which we did get to enjoy despite some mixed weather. Mousehole is a perfect place to set off on some stunning costal walks which is what we spent our week doing. We also enjoyed dinner at 2 Fore Street, Mackerel Sky & the Tolcarne Inn.

Wonderful house, perfect place for a holiday at st Ives

Great little place in an unspoilt fishing village. We loved Mousehole. Pros Felt at home. Super comfy beds, great linen & soft towels. We all slept extremely well. Some beautiful lounge chairs. We loved the leather chair in the lounge. Perfect for a morning coffee and the papers! Peaceful and great views of St Michael’s Mount etc. Cons Not many. Very uncomfortable sofa. Few chipped plates Not related to the house but Mousehole. The parking was very tricky. To the point we were unable to park on 2 occasions and my partner had to park quite far out of the village and walk home in the rain very late at night. It’s something to bear in mind. We wish we just got the local bus or taxis everywhere.

We recently returned from an amazing three-night stay at this stunning home and cannot express enough how impressed we were. The décor is beautiful, with every detail in the home reflecting a high standard of quality. As a group of six, the house was perfect for us with it’s fabulous mix of comfortable/relaxing social spaces and split level bedrooms. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful living area with its gorgeous sea views and enjoyed leisurely breakfasts in the lovely dining/kitchen space. The house is incredibly well-equipped, offering everything we could need and more. Although we couldn't explore some of the recommended local restaurants due to being in the local area for a music festival, we wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area in search of a luxurious stay. Communication with Iveta before, during, and after our trip was excellent, providing all the necessary instructions that we needed. Overall, we had an amazing time in this beautiful home!

Just back from a lovely 2 nights . Rosie’s communication was excellent and let us know when the cottage was ready so we were able to check in an hour earlier. Rosie had supplied , tea ,coffee,sugar some lovely Cornish biscuits and a pint of milk . Also plenty of loo roll , dishwasher tabs , washing up liquid and cloths were provided . ( thought this was worth knowing for future guests ) We took a trip to Marizion and then we walked from the cottage into Mousehole which was lovely , even spotted a seal along the way . Loved sitting in the window seats and reading my book while sipping a glass of wine . We truly enjoyed our little escape . Thank you Rosie

We stayed here for a week in April for a wedding at the hotel down the hill. The weather forecast was average so we wanted a place with a view just in case we were inside a lot. The view is amazing as is the location. The home was very clean and everything was great quality.

This was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. It was beyond clean, cozy to perfection and the location could not be beat. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay forever. Annie is a brilliant host and her intention to detail can be seen in every aspect of the cottage. 10/10
