Shepherds hut vacation rentals in Scotland

This was an absolute haven of peace and tranquillity The hut was filled with lots of lovely touches Rachael is sweet, helpful and thoughtful My Daughter, Grandchildren and myself loved every minute. the children did not want to leave, some tears shed. They said it was their favourite holiday, where else could they feed the horses in the morning with their pyjama's and wellies on.

A fantastic place to stay, close to the town an easy walk to the pub but quiet and serene when you want to wind down. The hut was comfy and cosy well stocked with everything you could need. The double bed under the single makes for some entertainment when the person one the inside needs to get up in the night but 10/10 would definitely stay again!

Nice & quiet, shepherds hut was compact & cosy. 3 of us stayed for a night and we slept brilliantly, we didn't need heating but we imagine the log burner would of been lovely in winter. All told, a great place to get your head down with everything you need for a stay for a couple of nights or just a stopover.

Great to be back for a return visit. As always everything was clean and tidy. Andrew and Lisa are great hosts and always go above and beyond to ensure guests have a fantastic stay. There's plenty to do in the area, I spent the weekend cycling and it's really easy to jump onto the Waskerley Way, which is about a mile from the farm.

Beautiful colourful cozy cabin , shower&kitchen was set up perfectly with everything you could need. Private and great views of the mountains from the big grass field and a loch a 10 min walk across the road.Emma was a friendly and helpful host .We had an amazing weekend and would definitely recommend to other couples.

The cabin is lovely and we especially enjoyed the log burning fire and seating area with comfy swing chair and hammock. Steve was very friendly and helpful. Perfect place to go to relax and Forres is beautiful too.

Great little bolthole for a weekend away. Basic cooking facilities (microwave, toaster and kettle) but perfectly adequate for breakfast prep. Andrew was great and with a friendly welcome even though we arrived quite late. Great location perfect for exploring and day trips to Beamish (a must!).

Remote and peaceful location but within a drive of many beautiful scenic places. We loved feeding the horses and sitting on the wooden decking eating and drinking. The big double bed is super comfy and the little hut has all the basic necessities. A lovely play to relax and great for doggies. Host was there to greet us and messaged in advance to make sure everything was set up!

Feel in love with Debbie’s place and property. The small town down the street is a gem as well. Wish I could have stayed longer! Debbie is a great host and left milk and shortbread. 😁Great hospitality. This is a great place to visit and stay

It was the perfect night away for me, my fiancée and pet dog. It exceeded our expectations in every way, our only regret was not staying for another night. Would definitely recommend the pizza also. We’ll definitely be returning in the future!

The showman s wagon has been sympathetically and authentically restored with lots of interesting original features. It’s ideal for peaceful getaway with spectacular views in every direction. The wagon is spacious and well equipped and has everything you might need. Can’t fault it.

Wow!! what an amazing “away from it all” hideaway, truly stunning. We stayed 3 nights and packed a lot in, walking, swimming, boating and soaking in the hot tub. If you want to destress, this is the place to come. Katie was very approachable and helped when we had trouble lighting the hot tub, we were so grateful 🙏. The little Shepherds hut is so quaint and has everything you need… just perfect, thank you… we had a great time, and will definitely be back soon.

what a beautiful place, me and my partner spent his birthday weekend at poachers hut and we thoroughly enjoyed it, Lorna and Ray go above and beyond to make your stay so special and personalised its easy to see they have a real passion for hosting, they truly thought of everything possible. The space itself is very peaceful with beautiful surroundings you’d never get tired of. Even with the hut being close to the hosts it is very private. The hut has everything you could need and is just so homely. We hope to come back soon as this is the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed at with the most friendly and welcoming hosts, including the goats, cats and dogs! cannot recommend this place enough and if you do stay you must get the pancakes they’re just the cherry on top to your stay. I had a wonderful stay at the peerie neuk. Melanie has carefully created a very special place to stay. The hut is clean and cosy with privacy and a stunning setting. I was on a bike and the location made it easy to access all I had hoped to enjoy in Unst. Helpful and practical, Melanie was also lovely to talk to. I'll be booking again. Thank you Melanie!

This was are second visit to the redfox and we will definitely return, everything was just a described and hosts were fantastic :) Also the welcome basket and prosecco are a lovely touch :)

Such a wonderful place. Loved The Shep. Spent a weekend for the Borders Book Fest. Perfect location. Christopher was super helpful and reponsive and have already recommended to friends. Don't hesitate to go!

The shepherd's hut was cosy, whatever the weather outside was doing! Pamela was very quick to respond with answers to any questions. There were little treats on our arrival and a tasty breakfast box for our first morning. The hut itself is situated in the lovely Sperrins with plenty of places to explore.

Enjoyed a restful stay with gorgeous views from the property.

We had a very restful 3 nights. The shepherds hut is absolutely beautiful, compact but well designed meaning it was a very comfortable space to stay in. It is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The outside space had amazing views and we enjoyed watching the cows in the field behind the hut. The animals were an added bonus! Such friendly chickens who came to visit when we sat out. We also loved meeting the horses and cute donkeys, ducks, goats and pigs!! Peter was a friendly and helpful host - Deborah was away but communicated with us via message and was also super friendly. Only 10 mins drive from Alnwick so very convenient. We came away feeling like we’d been on a retreat, so relaxed and recharged from our stay in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. This won’t be our last visit!

Had a fantastic stay for a couple of nights in the Shepherds hut. Paul & Caroline are excellent hosts. They gave clear instructions for how to find it, the hut is exactly as described and has everything you need for a short stay. It was peaceful, cosy and relaxing. It is very handy for the ferry to Tobermory and there are lots of other lovely places to visit nearby too.

my partner and I really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back simetime in the future.
