Vacation rentals with a kayak in Scotland

Lovely place in a very peaceful location. Well equipped and nicely decorated. Great space in the house and plenty to occupy everyone without needing to leave the property.

Christine’s place was perfect for a wonderful week. Immaculate and so welcoming. Allan even called us to let us know the place was ready early so we could enter and get settled in quicker. Everything we could wish for was available. We loved the fire pit with grill and enjoyed BBQs. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Spotless bathrooms and super soft towels. Thoroughly recommend walking to Singing Sands Beach, driving to Sanna Beach, Silver Sands of Morar and Traigh Beach. This is a fantastic place that was recommended by my neighbour, we are very thankful and will be back!

Everything about this house is first class. location is perfect for peace and quiet, the views are spectacular. The house has excellent amenities all of the best quality. This is the gold standard in holiday accommodation and great value for money.

Such a beautiful opportunity to experience the quiet and authentic side of Stornaway. We loved every minute we spent at The Bunker! The views were spectacular and the sunrises/sunsets ever changing. The kitchen was sprinkled with locally baked treats and even homemade jam for us to enjoy. It was such a delight. The only drawback, for me personally, is how I move forward with no warming towel rack in my life!! I can’t unfeel the delightfulness of warmed clothes on a chilly morning. They are not common in the states. On a scale of one to ten, The Bunker was easily a 72 ;).

Place was nice. The surroundings beautiful and so close to the park. We had a great walk there. All we expected, clean, comfortable. Got to watch netflix in a huge screen. All good According to my husband: best thing was that it was next to a pub with friendly people. We watched our first hurling match there and they explained the rules. 😊

We loved our week at Simon’s place. Beautiful, peaceful and lots of lovely places and beaches to visit. Seals and dolphins passed by. Loved the kayaks. House was warm and comfortable with great facilities. We hope to come back!

We loved our stay at Signal House. House is absolutely beautiful. It’s in such a lovely location with fantastic views along the coastline. Good place to stay, on a main road to travel to Scotland’s hot spots

Cantick Head is a very special Airbnb. Alan was helpful, welcoming and a great host. The cottage was amazing and had everything we needed. Well equipped, really comfortable, peaceful with the best views. We loved the hot tub and sat outside for hours watching the sea. Loads to see in the local area and Alan was really helpful in suggesting places to visit and explore. We absolutely loved it, definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful 9 night stay at Dereks home near Aberfoyle. The house is in a fantastic location if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, and explore Scotland. The scenery is stunning and there is plenty to see and do in the local area and beyond. The property itself was perfect for our needs, with plenty of amenities due to it being the hosts own home not just used as an Airbnb. Spacious rooms allow for a great experience and have to say one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. The house was clean and tidy ready for our arrival after requesting a slightly earlier check in time, which was much appreciated. Derek and family were always at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Fantastic time was had by all, would highly recommend!

We were very pleased with Grace Cottage from the moment we entered. Everything was neat and tidy with full instructions on the property and surrounding area. Even a parking permit for the surrounding towns car parks. The bedrooms were very comfortable with an outside seating area off of the twin room which was delightful which we used most afternoons with a cup tea and our books. We enjoyed going on boat trips, visiting gardens, castles and ancient houses. We hope to be able to return next year for another visit to Grace Cottage

A beautiful cottage in the most stunning and well kept grounds. The chickens absolutely added value to the experience, especially the little brown one who we named Wilmer for our stay! She was the perfect little neighbour, cute, cheeky and friendly. The lake, boat and kayaks were gorgeous. Cottage stunning, found the smell of ‘dog’ noticeable when I went in which sparked some allergies but luckily, not upstairs so didn’t impact sleep. It clearly said dogs welcome downstairs so something I should have thought about in advance. The library and reading area overlooking gardens and lake was so peaceful and cottage really does optimise the space. Kitchen very well thought out with good facilities and loved the fresh eggs and white roses left, a really thoughtful and lovely gesture. Gorgeous place, privacy respected and clearly a much loved cottage. Thank you.

What an exceptionally beautiful location, the view is just stunning. Spent hours just watching the bay with the changing tide, birds and wildlife. The weather was exceptional so we were able to enjoy the deck and make use of the outdoor table. Malcolm was an exceptional host and spent time with us, sharing a little of the local history which was very interesting. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and the local community shop is really handy and well stocked, also has an atm, petrol station, post office and small gift shop. Thanks Malcolm for sharing your home and we would love to return again in the future.

This was the perfect place for us whilst we were out of our own house for renovation. Mary Lou / Adrian were extremely accomodating and responded promptly to all our queries and requests. Less than 5 min walk in to heart of town or to beach and would be a perfect location for a family group. House had everything we needed for our stay. Thanks Mary Lou /Adrian👍

She and her family are wonderful hosts, making you feel totally at home, providing local knowledge, baking, tea and biscuits and showing a keen interest in you and ensuring you have a lovely holiday. Amazing location and views... the hot tub with a lake view really did it for us and make the whole experience magical! We also found a Happy Birthday card on the table from the Tranquill Otter team which was really appreciated.

Lovely lodge, beautiful surroundings. Our children (age 4 and 7) really enjoyed the hot tub. Going out on the boat was beautiful - request buoyancy vests in advance. House clean and comfortable. Well equipped for cooking.

Amazing location right by the lake. Lovely cabin and the hot tub was cracking. Having a little boat to row out onto the lake was a nice little touch. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

I really wish we had more time to spend here! Beautiful surroundings with lots of activites. Very comfortable home with everything one could need.

Paradise in the country side

Amazing little gem of a place. Peaceful and quiet just what we wanted. Place to relax and unwind. Bonus if you like fishing, good little lake at your feet! Hot tub added extra and great to relax. Everything there that you need to chill and enjoy the surroundings. Woukd highly recommend and already looking forward to returning!

an incredible few nights away at The Tranquil Otter for my partners birthday. From booking to checking out, we were left fully satisfied. clean, accessible and in a lovely location with access to a private row boat to explore the lake.
