We call our place Casita Pacifica (Peaceful Little House) as this suite is a mellow and relaxing retreat, yet in a San Diego suburb only 10-20 minutes from everything. Sadly, we no longer host peacocks, but our space is decorated in memory of their majestic energy. Our standards are high when we travel, so we created a suite that we'd love to stay in ourselves: stocked with goodies, things to do, recommendations, privacy, comfort & above all - cleanliness. Loved everything about my stay there. Room was spacious with a loft, which my son enjoyed. Marty even left some epson salt for the jacuzzi bathtub. Marty was very responsive, friendly, kind, and most helpful. She offered to make us pancakes on our last day but too bad my son doesn’t care for pancakes 😅. We’ll definitely return in the future!

Marty was a great host and went above and beyond to help. She helped me print and scan in some work documents to get notarized. Marty lives on premise so if you have any issue, you can easily holler or message and get it worked out in minutes. Understand that the place is shared by other guests which may have partners with them so you are sharing a bathroom with potentially 4 people in the mornings. Bathroom etiquette follows college dorm rules where you bring toiletries in and out each time. The front door and each bedroom door has its own passcode lock. The parking on the street was not always immediately available directly by the house, so you park down 3 or so houses and walk. The neighborhood is very residential, not laden with restaurants in walking distance so I fared well with a rental car.

This was a very cozy and cute bed and breakfast. Felt like a little slice of heaven and something from a few decades ago ( while having modern accoutrements). The room had an en suite whirlpool jacuzzi big enough to fit two, as did the shower which even had dual shower heads and controls for them. It was a very relaxing stay we had, and the neighborhood was quite walkable to explore for eating and shopping. The breakfasts were slightly on the lighter side, however the fresh home baked muffins were delicious as was the fresh cut fruit. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Graciela is such an interesting person I could have chatted with her for hours! She has great knowledge, stories and a kind heart. Her house is beautiful with gorgeous views and the kids really enjoyed the pool. More than just a place to stay, I feel like Graciela is now a friend and someone I can continue a relationship with.
