A few little glitches which were resolved in amusing fashion involving my french, Fiona's English, Google translate and cameraphone.Importantly the house was very comfy and well appointed and close to wonderful beaches.On our last night we experienced the most wonderful burnt orange, white and blue sunset. Plenty to explore on the island and if you like fish and shellfish you won't be disappointed! Thanks to Fiona and her parents, who checked us out, for a very memorable 2 weeks. 🌟 5 stars without hesitation! We had an absolutely perfect weekend! The accommodation was as advertised, very clean, comfortable and in a great location. Very nice house, very well designed and beautifully decorated. It's very comfortable which is nice when you rent in February. We were able to enjoy the garden a little and we can imagine that in summer it must be very pleasant especially since it is not overlooked. My grandchildren enjoyed the toys and books available. The proximity to the bakery is a plus for those who like hot croissants for breakfast. As for the market where you can find good products, it can also be reached on foot. The whole family enjoyed this stay at Kbane :)

Responsive host, Rental as expected, pleasant stay and well located to discover the island of Oléron. The best of the house, bikes in excellent condition and all the equipment to accommodate a baby without cluttering the trunk of the car.

Very nice accommodation in the middle of Oléron. Very well furnished and equipped, perfect for a family of 4! Easy parking and quick access to the whole island! Excellent!

We had a pleasant stay in the charming studio, ideally located! Close to the beach, shops and market square. Although very close to the heart of the village, the accommodation is extremely quiet! Cécile and Eric's hosting was perfect. They care about your well-being throughout the entire stay. We'll be happy to go back to this rental :-) We highly recommend this listing!

A very nice apartment overlooking the harbor entrance - located between the Ketten and Laternenturm. The property is located in a beautiful old house made of white limestone. The apartment was well ventilated by many skylights and the slopes make the apartment very charming. There are a variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, a beach is 5 minutes away and downtown La Rochelle is also a few minutes away. We arrived by train and did a lot on foot or by rental bike. The property is also within walking distance of the train station.

Very pleasant stay in a quiet area but close to beaches and the Port de la Cotinière. Small but functional and very well arranged accommodation; small terrace with enough space to dine or have breakfast. But above all a very warm welcome from our host Muriel, discreet and smiling, we wish we had more time to get to know each other. But 5 days it goes by quickly and we went, with our 7-year-old grandson, to discover the charms of this wild and beautiful island and the activities it offered us. Excellent location: The accommodation is very clean and functional. Dominique is welcoming and accommodating. Special mention to the bedding, which is very comfortable. Ideally located, the residence is very nice, Saint Martin en Ré is a charming village. I would highly recommend it.

Corinne is such an amazing and responsive host, and her place was exactly what we needed. Would 100% recommend. A bit about the apartment: it looked exactly as described, comfortable and clean. Its location probably can’t be better since it was right by the pier of Saint-Martin, a very charming and calm village. Now, the real stars were the hosts. Corinne herself was very responsive and proactive and even though she wasn’t there at check-in, she arranged for a family member to not only be there and greet us, but also drive us from the La Rochelle train station to the island. She also called the bus company to confirm our bus time upon departure and was kind enough to allow a later check in so we had a place to leave our belongings while waiting for our train. Overall, amazing hosts. Thank you!

Very quiet for the studio. For those who love walking, I've been spoiled. Xavier is responsive and helped me a lot. Good restaurants.

Maryse is a very nice and available host and she is also very accommodating for check-in and check-out when possible! The apartment is ideally located. We rented for our 3-day weekend and we did everything on foot! The parking space is a big plus. We highly recommend Maryse and her property! You can go there without so much as a second thought, you won't be disappointed! Very eager to return to La Rochelle in this very beautiful property, tastefully decorated and so well located in La Rochelle!
