Breathtaking 2 Bedroom Luxury Cornish Cottage with Panoramic Sea & Harbour Views with Hot Tub - Featured on Channel 4's George Clarke's Amazing Spaces Situated on a beautiful bay in South Cornwall where seals & dolphins are regularly spotted & local fisherman bring in their daily catch. Less than 5 minutes walk to the local restaurants, bars, pubs, ice-cream shops & ancient Grade 2 listed Port showcasing exquisite tall ships and famous for the film set of Poldark & Alice In Wonderland
The beautiful village port of Charlestown has played host to many famous figures in its time, from Poldark to Alice in Wonderland...and most recently George Clarke, who featured Harbour Lights, formerly known as the ‘Loo with a View', on his hugely popular ‘Amazing Spaces' TV programme. It's not hard to see why George was so captivated by the intricate work lovingly carried out on this imaginative and elegantly restored property.  Built in 1771 as a fish and net cellar, the building was later renovated into public conveniences before we rescued it from its ramshackle state in 2015.  The building has now been fully renovated into a truly luxurious pet-friendly two-bedroomed holiday hideaway, full of natural character and marine-inspired style, featuring truly unsurpassed sea views from the cliff top.  Great care and attention has been taken with the design and furnishing of every room to ensure perfect harmony with the beautiful coastal surroundings.  Ancient reclaimed timber décor and solid oak doors add chic touches of time-honoured style, alongside the more contemporary pure white Italian marble worktops and soft grey backgrounds that perfectly complement the magnificent bay and harbour views from the windows. The ground floor encompasses a spacious open-plan living area, described by George Clarke as fabulously "light and airy", featuring a fully furnished designer kitchen that looks out across the harbour.  Fire up the stylish log burner and watch the ships as they glide languidly by! Take the stairs and discover two exquisite bedrooms, one large double featuring glorious views over the harbour and Charlestown Bay - with a luxurious Heritage bath right at the bottom of the bed.  The second, slightly smaller, bedroom features a beautiful view of the garden area. You'll also find a stunning Italian marble and stainless steel furnished en-suite, and a utility area and walk-in wardrobe featuring fitted storage, washer-dryer, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. Underfloor heating and a Sonos sound system with three independent zones runs throughout, so that wherever you happen to be, you'll be effortlessly able to set the perfect mood! Simply download the Sonos App on your smart phone and away you go! The views become even better outside, when experienced with a glass of bubbles from the lavish four-seater hot tub looking out across the sea!  There's a slate patio with wash off area that's particularly handy after a sandy day on the beach, and a beautiful garden with decked terraces and colourfully lush flowers and plants that have been carefully selected to make the most of their surroundings. Discover Harbour Lights' namesake at the end of the garden...a quaint little lookout shed which in times past was home to the searchlight that guided the Tall Ships safely into harbour.  Here you'll find two benches carved from the old roof timbers, creating the perfect romantic hideaway. Oh - and just in case you're wondering whether any remnants of the building's former history remain, hanging proudly above the downstairs bathroom are the original ‘ladies' and ‘gentlemen' signs… We just couldn't bring themselves to flush those away! You'll find it extremely difficult to tear yourself away from this sea sanctuary, but if you decide to venture out and about, why not take your dog to Charlestown beach for a run, perhaps with some seal and dolphin-spotting along the way?  Watch the fishermen bring in their daily catch before taking yourselves off to indulge in a gourmet seafood meal at the award-winning Falmouth Bay Seafood Café in Truro, another of our stylish dog-friendly retreats. The ancient Grade 2 listed port is steeped in historical architecture...along with a glittering touch of celebrity from its regular use as a film set. So set sail to Harbour Lights and enjoy an invigorating and relaxing break with genuinely breathtaking sea views you won't forget in a hurry!
The beautiful village port of Charlestown has played host to many famous figures in its time, from Poldark to Alice in Wonderland. Go off in any direction along the coast and you’ll find a range of wonderful cafes and restaurants.
  • Harbour Lights will knock your socks off if you are after a relaxing break with great views and facilities

  • This is a special place, in particular for a 'couples getaway'. We went as a family (two teenage girls) and though a squeeze in the spare room for the girls we all found it a great place to spend a week exploring the local walks, beaches and food. Notwithstanding our stay included a visit from 'Storm Dennis' it was a fantastic week and we enjoyed watching the weather coming into the bay.

  • Really lovely place in a great location with lovely restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Charlotte was a great host who was available to help with anything required. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks! X

  • What a nice place harbour lights is. Location is perfect with amazing views & the accommodation is brilliant.

  • This really is a ‘gem’ — absolutely stunning property with luxury finish, in a truly superb location! Walking distance to local beaches, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and everything you will need. We never used our car at all during our stay, and wakening up to the sea views every morning...just ‘wow’!!

  • Great

    Robert2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Well where do I start!! The property it’s self is nothing short of amazing. Charlotte kindly accommodated an early check in which was much appreciated. My dogs thoroughly enjoyed their stay with lovely complimentary doggie bags. The views from the hot tub are to die for and there was nothing better than relaxing in the bath looking out at the ocean at the end of the day. The scones and the bubbly definitely made it that little bit more special if that’s even possible! Charlestown is beautiful and the recommendations from the welcome pack where much appreciated. Longstore was a special place for a very nice steak. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to be able to stay again soon.

    Toni2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Charlotte and Joey’s place is a gem! A wonderful location with spectacular views and easy access to quaint Charlestown. Charlotte went above and beyond by getting us a travel crib for our 20 month old. I will miss the relaxing nights of hearing the ocean from the master bedroom and relaxing in the hot tub. Charlotte even had scones, Cornish cream, milk and bubbly awaiting ya upon our arrival! A class act. Not to mention the place was spotless and had everything you needed and more. The closest Tesco is about a mile away so make sure you get essentials before getting there. Charlotte had general hand soap and shower gel but if you need laundry detergent and shampoo you’ll want to bring it for your stay.

Over 290 visits all with great reviews. Guests also say that our photos don't do us justice, trust them, this is a perfect destination for complete relaxation and privacy. Close the gates and stay put! Two supercool spaces The Bespoke Cabin with woodburner and the Summerhouse are set in a private meadow. The Summerhouse at the top of the paddock has views, fab for sunbathing or cloud and star gazing it has a deck and firebowl. Lovely setting nestled below Helman Tor. Children over 6 welcome.
Built for purpose the cabin is a one off alternative and self contained beautiful space. It is not a mobile home/kit or attached to my property. It is a converted field shelter Bespoke design not a kit!! It is a separate entity along the lane from my property and set within its large and beautiful 1.5 acre meadow with views. Dimensions are 6m x 4m. Small but pefectly formed. The ground floor has a kitchen and living space combined with a woodburner. The living space is double height which gives a feeling of space. Also on the ground floor a bedroom with double bed and ensuite shower room. A heavy curtain can be pulled to separate the downstairs living and sleeping areas. The Cabin is light and airy and all windows are double glazed and the cabin is twin skinned with full insulation. There is an electric radiator in the bedroom area, which can be moved around. The second double bed is above this room on a mezzanine level accessed by a ladder, there is limited head height here on the mezzanine but this makes it a snug and cosy space, with blinds which drop down for privacy. Not suitable for younger children. Not suitable for ages 2 to 6 older children could be considered. There is a freeview television with radio. No wifi. Good 4g coverage...especially in the Summerhouse. Probably more suited for a couple but four adults or two extra older children would be fine. Romantic or retreat! Private and a lovely setting. Officially used for engagement surprises and Honeymoons. I can arrange balloons or cake or anything to make your celebration special, just ask. Access to the mezzanine nook is by ladder! Outside space is private and extensive and although next to the lane this is a very quiet valley. You have a private paddock with a summer house with deck at the top of it for lazydays watching the sky or sunbathing on the deck. Ideal star gazing very little if any light pollution. A fabulous firebowl is also situated by the Summerhouse. There is a smaller fire pit down by The Cabin and bbq. Ideal cycling/walking country. On the Saint's Way situated below Helman Tor. Beside Breney Common Nature reserve. Also on cycle route 3. Very little light pollution. Situated in the geographic middle of Cornwall so easy to access coast and most famous areas. Please message me for any more information. One night stays subject to availability please message for details.
We are on the Saints' Way here and walking distance from Helman Tor a special and beautiful place. Also Breney Common Nature Reserve is adjacent to the cabin and a haven for wildlife. The nearest pub is 2.5 miles away the Crown Inn in Lanlivery, the Kings Arms pub in Luxulyan is also close with great food and atmosphere. Fowey and Lostwithiel are approx. 7 and 9 miles away. No public transport nearby the nearest train stations are Bodmin Parkway and Par both 7 miles away and this would be a great base for a cycling holiday being on the Cycle Route 3 . By appt I could collect from a train. Happy to help with ideas for trips if you can tear yourself away from here and the cabin has maps and tourist info for you to browse. Games and binoculars if you just want to hunker down!
  • You will not be disappointed. The cabin is such a lovely space, really well equipped, great location and the most wonderful, responsive and thoughtful host. The space is perfect for a quiet getaway and is full of everything you could need. We will definitely be returning again!

  • The best air bnb I have ever had the pleasure to visit. Carol and her cabin are both amazing. From the outset you get a good feeling from Carol’s warmness and kind heartedness and on arrival you can see that she has put her soul into this beautiful cabin. The setting is idyllic and the cabin itself is truly unique. Every little detail has been thought of and the little touches make the cabin feel a home away from home. It’s cosy, romantic and homely - a real rare find! I can not recommend this place enough. The decor and architecture are incredible and Carol’s easy to follow instructions mean using the wood burner and outdoor fire pits are a doddle. There isn’t WiFi (not an issue as you are there to relax and enjoy your surroundings and I found it nice to be disconnected) but if you want to watch a movie in the snug upstairs room on a chilly evening perhaps download something before arriving. There are many beautiful coastal walks in easy reach by car; the coastal path to Polperro is beautiful and a trip to the beach at East Looe is a lovely way to spend the afternoon with a Cornish ice cream. The Bodmin Moore’s are on the doorstep as is the Eden project. Thank you Carol for sharing such a wonderful space with us! 10/10 - a must visit for everyone 😊 I would also recommend a lunch visit to the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery just beyond Lostwithiel (approx 15 min drive) - good food, friendly staff and a very sweet resident cat living in the garden centre shop!

    Kitty2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabin is a unique and wonderful place to stay. Carol has made this place romantic and quirky and is a wonderful host. The summerhouse at the top of the field is a lovely extra that you don’t get at most places. If you want to escape from the rat race and have some romantic time alone with that someone you love this is most definitely the place to stay x

    Ben2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Carol has been an amazing host, she was extremely understanding and welcoming when we arrived an hour ahead of schedule. The Cabin is a very cosy and homely place to get away for a few days and is perfectly placed for the Eden Project and some great local seaside towns. We look forward to staying again!

    Elliot2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it 😊

    Richard2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabin was truly beautiful - it was everything we’d hoped for and more. Carol has thought of everything; the personal touches (games, umbrellas, lanterns, etc) made the place even more special. The decor is also brilliant - very homely and comfortable to the point we spent more time in enjoying the fire and games than we did out in the end! Carol is also a fantastic host with brilliant communication and attention to detail. We were overall delighted with our stay and cannot wait to return.

    Kassie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabin is a perfect place to get away and unplug! We really enjoyed switching off (we had no phone reception and there is no wifi) and relaxing in beautiful surroundings. The Cabin has everything you could need when you are away, Carol has thought of everything. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked in every night. There are lots of games and books and a TV. We didn't make use of the Summer House but can imagine it would be lovely when it's a bit warmer! You definitely need a car if you are staying here and there are no pubs or shops within walking distance. We visited the Eden Project - it's less than a 15 minute drive. Loved our stay here, we will come back!

    Sarah2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect, absolutely spot on. Stylish and cosy little hideaway. Carol was great at checking us in and keeping in touch. Beautiful little cabin.

Before booking please see booking details under The Space below.... The Barn is a recently converted, luxury romantic retreat situated in a secluded, hidden valley overlooking the Warleggan river. Surrounded by wildlife, majestic oaks and bluebell woods, it is within easy reach of many of Cornwall's unique locations.
A beautiful, recently converted (2016) stone barn in a private 14 acre estate with stunning views of the Glynn valley overlooking the Warleggan river, The Barn at Lower Tredinnick provides a luxury detached cottage with everything you need for a total escape from it all. Booking details: We offer a 3 day weekend break (arrive Fri, leave Mon) and/or a 4 day mid-week break (arrive Mon, leave Friday) or any combination of these, particularly during standard UK holidays (high season). In 2020 these are: spring half term 14-24 Feb, Easter holiday 3-19 April, summer half term 22 May - 1 June, summer holidays 24 Jul - 7 September, autumn half term 19 Oct-2 Nov, Christmas & New Year 2020 negotiable. Out of high season, we are often happy to be flexible so please do get in touch if Mon - Fri or Fri - Mon doesn't suit your plans. The Barn is designed by award winning sustainable local architects, Arco 2. Heated throughout by an under-floor eco air-source system, fully insulated and double-glazed, you will always be warm and comfortable. Electricity is 100% renewable. The kitchen is equipped with A rated dishwasher, washer drier, induction cooker, fridge freezer, toaster, electric kettle and all you might need in a home from home (if there is something you need that's not there we will endeavour to provide it). We supply a small honesty larder of basics, such as tea, coffee, oil and vinegar, salt, pepper & herbs; please replace what you use and/or add to the store. The living room has a French "Godin" woodburner with a generous supply of free logs, providing extra warmth in the winter months and a large comfortable sofa with wonderful views over the valley. There's a wireless music system for you to plug into, books, rainy day games, maps and local information. There are bifold glass doors which give access to a balcony where you can sit and enjoy meals outside. We have a charcoal barbecue & utensils you can borrow, just ask and bring your own charcoal. Upstairs, there is modern shower room and the bedroom has a comfortable king size double bed and all the space you need to store your belongings. It is decorated in a restful blue and is further enhanced with soft lighting. There are french windows leading to a secluded south facing patio where you can sit out and lose yourself in the peaceful surroundings. Please get in touch for any further information. We are sometimes able to be flexible about arrival and leaving times depending on our bookings. We have a travel cot for babies (babes in arms) if needed at no extra charge. Unfortunately we are not able to accomodate children due to the wild nature of the property (built on the edge of a substantial drop and near a river, etc.) We cannot accommodate dogs or any pets as, however pleasant and obedient, they do have an effect on the local wildlife, which we are trying to encourage. Please bring your own beach towels.
This is cornish countryside at its best. Walk in the woods or stroll by the river. Or just sit outside and enjoy the view. Buzzards fly over head, marsh tits feed on our feeder and the butterflies and wild flowers are prolific. There is no light pollution so on cloudless nights the stars are fantastic. Watch out for shooting stars!
  • The Barn is a beautiful space that overlooks a river and valley. A perfect space to rest and unwind. Hugh is a fantastic host and gives you as little or as much as you need. Highly recommend staying here to anyone who wants to get away. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

  • Staying at the Barn was more than we hoped it would be. The location is perfect for some relaxing quality time away from the routines and madness that can sometimes be life. The Barn is stylish and decorated to a high standard. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The welcome touches from Hugh and Kiki were lovely. We would recommend for anyone to stay at the Barn, it was quiet, very comfortable, very clean and we were able to truely switch off for a few days. We loved the remote surroundings and just being able to look out over the river and see the wildlife. The pub not far from the Barn also provided us with a lovely meal. Thank you Hugh and Kiki for a lovely stay.

  • Great location, fantastic views and very warm even in winter!

  • The Barn was immaculate, and perfect for a hideaway after our wedding. Hugh was a fantastic host, and we really appreciated the extra touches that made our stay very special. The house was comfortable, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a great stay. It was lovely waking up to the sounds of the river and the birds each morning. We’ll definitely be coming back.

  • We were welcomed with smiles and hot coffee and brownies on arrival by our hosts who couldn't of been more welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was perfect, warm and spotless. More than enough room for our party. The whole site was a real pleasure from the games barn and the wood fired hot tub to feeding the pigs and collecting eggs from the friendly hens. We couldn't have been more happy with our stay, the location was perfect and everything we wanted was close by. The only problem was our stay wasn't for long enough. We will definitely be back. Thanks again. Xx

The SIPHON offers a special glamping holiday where your carbon footprint will be minimal - we source as much as we can from local suppliers and ask our guests to recycle/compost. The SIPHON is off grid - solar power provides electricity for lighting and charging mobile phones - and there is a 'green' waterless toilet. A really exciting AND DIFFERENT holiday experience with outside space for barbecuing and play. Perfect for FAMILY celebrations, children AND dogs AND close to the EDEN PROJECT
Enjoy the comfort of the wood burning stove, melt marshmallow over the fire pit or cook your meal in the open air! Close to the Eden Project, The Siphon railway carriage offers a totally different holiday experience. Stay in this converted railway carriage with comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, COSY WOOD BURNING STOVE (first night’s fuel FREE thereafter £5 a pack) separate compost toilet and an amazing hot shower, 12 volt electricity for lighting and phone charging and a fire pit. A great off-grid glamping experience. Although listed as sleeping eight people, the Siphon itself sleeps UP TO SIX (bunk beds can only be used by children of six or above) with an additional two people being accommodated in The Toad BRAKE VAN which is close by, at a small additional charge The Siphon RAILWAY CARRIAGE is nearly 60' long, divided into three separate bedrooms, one with a king size double the SECOND with two single beds, plus an additional THIRD bedroom with bunk beds (not suitable for very young children). In addition two adults can be accommodated in The Toad brake van which is just a few yards away, offering the facility for two families or a larger group of friends to stay. There is a sitting/dining area with WOOD BURNING STOVE, fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker plus an outside dining area when the weather is warm. The Siphon can accommodate SIX people in three separate bedrooms(and up to 8 people in total using both carriages). The living space and one of the bedrooms have double doors which lead out onto raised decking - perfect for al fresco dining - and a fully equipped kitchen area with gas cooker, work tops, sink and storage plus an enormous, very efficient cold box on the balcony. We change the ice packs as and when necessary for our guests. The Siphon is 'off-grid' - there is no mains electricity only 12 volt lighting and a charging point for phones. Sorry, no tv or electrical appliances! There is a cold water supply inside the wagon and an amazing outside hot shower and a ‘green ‘ toilet a very few steps away (less than ten feet). Outside and on a lower level to The Siphon is a firepit and seating area (just wooden planks on blocks)! where you can enjoy a drink (or two), watch the stars or listen to the sounds of the country whilst filling the fire - we can sell you bags of logs (£5 bag for kiln dried wood) - sorry but we are unable to provide free fuel for either the Wood burning stove or the firepit. Fuel for the stove MUST be purchased from us at £5 a pack although we supply your first pack free of charge. (Logs, kindling, flamer firefighter and matches). You will share your outside space with the birds and the many wild animals which live around - foxes, badgers, deer, otters, squirrels and many more smaller mammals but the inside of the Siphon is warm and secure. Fall asleep to the sound of the nearby river and wake to the dawn chorus of the birds. The Siphon is not for the frail or timid - the doors are the original heavy wood ones and the catches are also original - marvel at the workmanship which went into the making of this grand old lady and marvel yet more at the way in which she has converted so magnificently into this unusual holiday space. We have had nothing but positive feedback from our guests who come with open minds to enjoy this unusual and definitely unique glamping holiday destination. We hope that everything will be perfect for you and it will certainly be a new and exciting holiday experience for everyone who stays. Our younger guests have delighted in the magic of staying on a 'train' and Train Teddy will be there to greet them. Lots of space for running around, outside games and a range of indoor games for families to enjoy if the weather isnt good. The Siphons - the telegraphic name for these commercial carriages - carried milk in milk churns from the West Country to the cities of the UK. The Siphons were based on the chassis of passenger carriages and often were added to the rear of express passenger trains travelling from the West Country in order to transport milk and other perishables as quickly as possible to London and other centres. There were louvres cut into the wooden sides at two levels to allow for greater ventilation and these we have retained as much as possible in 'our' Siphon. This is truly a piece of railway history, particularly as there are only a handful of Siphons still in existence and many of these are in a very poor state. We describe The Siphon as an unique 'glamping with style' experience - a beautiful and spacious area in a railway carriage - but perhaps you will have other ways of describing her.... Our guests will enjoy the Siphon, the surrounding area and have access onto miles of surrounding trails and the walk or cycle to the Eden Project. The Siphon is positioned on one of the sidings of the Trenance Valley Line - one of the last branch lines built by the Great Western Railway or the GWR - 'God's Wonderful Railway'. This line only carried commercial traffic. It was authorised in 1910, opened in 1920 after the first world war and eventually closed in 1968. A word of warning - the river is close by and is NOT securely fenced so children will need to be supervised but what an experience for everyone who stays here! We also feel that The Siphon experience may not be entirely suitable for very young children - children of three or younger have stayed very successfully and have been enthralled by the experience but, parents, be aware! no washing machine, only an outside shower and no tv! But there are plenty of positive things to offset these. Being close to nature, plenty of 'family' time with no digital distractions, walking, playing outside or playing some of the games which are inside the Siphon, melting marshmallows at the firepit, cooking supper over a wood fire, having evening sing-songs around the fire, partying - your choice - some or all of these! The whole area was an industrial site so be aware that there are drops, uneven surfaces and other hazards - but common sense and care will prevent any accidents. We are happy to suggest places to visit, suggestions on where to eat and walks accessible from The Siphon or slightly further away. The Siphon is in a rural position in a valley setting close to the River Vinnick - we could bore you with more historical detail but you can read all about the area when you are here. Centrally positioned for exploring Cornwall, close to the south Cornish beaches and only a short drive to the surfing beaches of the north coast - just a perfect holiday retreat! There is public transport but limited - do please try to bring a car or rent one when you get here - mainline trains at St. Austell, about 1.5 miles away, a few buses and, of course, taxis. You can also walk directly from The Siphon into St. Austell using the trails which cover miles of the surrounding area, or you can walk to the Eden Project using the trails. The Siphon is not connected to the national grid - electricity is 12 volt supplied via solar energy. Therefore - no tvs, no hairdryers, no washing machines -but plenty of peace, relaxation, bird song, playing games, conversation, good food and wine - the list is endless. There is a cold water supply connected to the sink in the kitchen and there is hot water to the shower and basin outside. We aim to keep our 'carbon footprint' as small as possible and at the same time offer our guests a truly unique holiday experience. We therefore ask all guests to recycle as much of their rubbish as possible (tins/plastic bottles/glass jars and bottles, cardboard and paper are all collected) and to buy local produce whenever possible to reduce 'food miles'. The Siphon has a wood burning stove installed which heats the main living area - an excellent heat source to keep away any chill. Please note that fuel for the stove must be purchased from us and guests are asked not to burn any rubbish in the stove. PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING PEAK PERIODS AND SCHOOL HOLIDAYS THERE IS A MINIMUM BOOKING PERIOD OF THREE DAYS. At all other times the minimum booking period is two days apart from a few weeks in November/December when we are happy to accept ONE DAY BOOKINGS. THE TOAD: We have a second carriage available which sleeps 2 adults - if your party numbers more than 6 please ask about this which is available at an extra but discounted price. The Toad brake van was used on the Great Western Railway at the end of long trains carrying commercial traffic. It has the original sand boxes supplying sand to the braking wheels to help slow down the train and although now converted to holiday accommodation the original features of the wagon are still present. The Toad offers a living space with seating and a double bed plus a kitchen with hob and sink. There is cold water only into the kitchen sink and a further tap outside. Outside is a fire area for outdoor cooking if the weather permits. The Toad is only available for renting in conjunction with The Siphon as it shares the outdoor shower and toilet and for groups of over 6. Very occasionally The Toad can be used as a stand alone unit but only when The Siphon is not being used. Minimum rental periods are then two days out of season and three days in season (July and August, Christmas and New Year and all school holidays). Please ask for more details. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR USING THE TOAD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SIPHON - PLEASE ASK BEFORE REQUESTING A RESERVATION. The Siphon itself - all 60' of her space - the immediate surrounding area including the firepit for outside fires and barbecue area and access onto miles of surrounding trails - all this is available to our guests. We are here to answer questions, help with suggestions of places to visit, change the icepacks in the giant cold box as and when necessary, provide information for local sightseeing - as little or as much help as you might need. Public transport isn't great - the main line railway station is at St. Austell (about 1.5 miles away), Newquay Airport (about 11 miles away), cross channel ferry at Plymouth for France (about 40 miles away) but local bus services are infrequent and we really do suggest having a car at your disposal, even if you hire one when you get to St. Austell. Guests staying in The Siphon need to be slightly different in their outlook on life - enjoy the outdoors, maybe walking or cycling, surfing or swimming, sailing or kayaking - prepared to spend the evenings playing board games or sitting outside watching the stars - barbecue some freshly caught fish (from one of the nearby harbours) - just a few suggestions........
Very close to the Eden Project and within easy reach of Heligan Gardens and the beaches of the north and south coast.
  • Wonderful stay in a unique place. They had everything we needed, and even added a few lovely extra touches. With the fire going, the place was a lot warmer than expected, and the outside shower was great! If its wet weather - bring wellies!

  • Quirky and lots of fun. Lovely location with everything you need.

  • Such a beautiful train carriage, great location and not in the middle of nowhere as i originally thought. Very easy access into st austell. Fire had been lit for check in, so was lovely and warm throughout with a welcome pressie and some lovely plants. All rooms had extra blankets and a there was even a cute selection of hot water bottles provided to warm the beds due to the time of the year. The train has a lovely raised deck that overlooks a fast flowing river which was an added bonus. A truly different but wonderful stay.

  • We had a really good time staying at The Siphon. It was lovely and cosy with the log burner going on arrival in the evening, which was appreciated on a very wet and windy weekend at the end of October. The rain made it even more of a great adventure for a 9 and 5 year old and something they'll be talking about for months to come. It took them a little while to come to terms with getting their boots and coats on in the night to go to the outside loo, but that will only make it more memorable for them. It was refreshing to be 'off grid' for the long weekend, no electronics and just a good selection of board games and a radio (both provided) which was set to Classic FM for maximum chill in the evenings. Now that we're back home, the children are of course back on their iPad's, but I like to think with a fond memory for the simple life. We'll definitely try to go back in the summer to make the most of the surroundings. As a side note, everything that was provided was of high quality and eco friendly where possible.

  • Chris and Jo have an amazing air bnb and I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting a unique glamping experience. All amenities needed were available and although it was cold there were many blankets and thick quilts to keep us warm and cosy. This would be a perfect venue during the warmer periods to go on long walks along the clay trail and enjoy the surrounding area. There was an abundance of information given for things to do, eat, travel information and even places to avoid. Wonderful hosts an a wonderful experience. Already thinking of returning next year.

    Emily2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Would 100% recommend Chris and Jo’s place! The scenery is absolutely beautiful, the siphon is so cozy and heart warming and the decor is gorgeous! The 5 of us loved every second and we all hope to return in the future.

    Jorden2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Family - including a toddler and two dogs! We had an absolutely fantastic time and Chris & Jo have done such a wonderful job restoring the carriage and turning it a lovely hideaway. Everything was so cozy and comfy, and there was everything you needed to make home cooking each day. The setting too is great, as although close to lots of places to explore, there was also a sense of being out in the wild! Thanks in part to an amazing outdoor shower, lots of trees and birds, the sound of the running river, and the fire pit to wile away the evenings

    Sally And Ben2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • An amazingly cosy and unique place to stay. Chris and Jo have thought of everything and the kitchen is very well equipped. The vast selection of board games kept the kids assumed for quite a while. A great base for exploring Cornwall from. We particularly liked Mevagissy and Porthpean beach.

  • Shonna and Ben were so friendly we learnt a lot and had good fun making the gin. The food was lovely. The tree house was warm with the fire and we had more logs then we needed. Also the food was really really good and and the vegetarian was really good for summer as well. They delivered it to us even though it was pouring rain and the food was still hot

    Morven2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay surrounded my nature. It was like staying in a Romany gypsy caravan in the trees! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly and the gin and rum workshop was excellent. Definitely recommend.

  • Cracking location, unique and stunning accommodation, with the most friendly, attentive hosts, nothing was too much trouble, we loved our night there and didn't want to leave xx

  • Amazing tree house with everything we needed. Perfect surprise sponge cake when we arrived and the gin workshop was fantastic Our evening tapas was exceptional and the tree house so warm and cosy for such a wet February

    Sam2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed in the treehouse for my partners 30th and the whole experience was wonderful. The treehouse itself is comfortable and cosy with the log fire on, even over a dry but cold January weekend. The gin masterclass was interesting and fun - foraging for botanicals, homemade bread, creating our own recipes, taking our own gin home to share with friends- all brilliant! Also a big thank you for the breakfast and homemade Victoria Sponge, it was such a lovely treat and really made my partner's birthday special. Highly recommended and will love to return ourselves in the summer to try out some different gin flavours!

    Hannah2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house is exactly as lovely as it's portrayed. A sturdy cabin made of wood, with a rustic interior, almost medieval feel, in a secluded area with gorgeous countryside vistas where the air is pure, the silence is bliss and the night sky is full of stars. The big surprise is Ben and Shona's hospitality, which is just next level. They offered to pick me up from the station since I didn't have a car. They were generous and accommodating with my dietary requirements. There was a home made cake waiting for me in the house. Ben cooks breakfast and brings it round wrapped in aluminium foil, which really keeps the food warm. The tapas were outstanding, I was floored by the quality and generous portions. They took the initiative to bring round more logs for the wood burner since it was particularly cold and I might need them. I was expecting to feel at peace in the countryside, I wasn't expecting to feel spoiled! They really go the extra mile to provide a great experience for guests.

    Jorge2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience! A New Year we won't forget in a long time- from the hospitality, to individuality of the experience, both Shonna and Ben were fantastic hosts- couldn't have asked for more- thank you

Small double bedroom with adjacent private bathroom in a modern and professional home. The bedroom itself is relatively small however perfectly suitable for one person. South facing and decorated in neutral colours the room has an airy feel to it, you’ll find a small double (4ft / 1.2m wide) bed with a comfortable memory foam mattress, single mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers, a side table and one bedside cabinet.
The room is laid out with the bed against the wall so as to allow more space for moving around. If this is not an issue you may find that it is suitable for two people. Other items in the room include; Touch lamp on bed side cabinet, television with Freeview, hairdryer, iron & ironing Board, oversized king-sized light weight duvet and four pillows. The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and is used only by this room, it has a toilet, basin and bath with shower over, also in the bath room you will find the following; Bath towel, hand towel, flannel, bath mat, shampoo, conditioner & toilet roll. It may be possible for you to use the washing machine but please confirm this first and bear in mind there is only an outside washing line for drying so you’ll need to time the weather right! It is a modern semi-detached three-bedroom house positioned at the end of the close and subsequently has a calm and relaxing feel to it, the house is clean, tidy and well-presented and I am very lucky to have lovely neighbours. I live here with my three cats, Josie, Tilly & Teddy who are naturally convinced that they are in charge and subsequently roam freely (please keep your doors closed if you don't want to have guests of your own). There is a well-equipped kitchen if you wish to prepare any meals – just be sure to load the dishwasher and try to be finished by ten so that I can get my beauty sleep! Opposite the house is a dedicated private and off-road drive for you to park a car. The back garden is split over two levels, please feel free to make use of the top level where you’ll find a selection of garden furniture available on the lawn. Please feel free to use the sitting room during the working week days, I do reserve this to myself for the evening and weekends though. House requests Other than respecting the non-smoking policy please just be mindful of the time and noise levels within the house after 10pm If you wish to stay up chatting after this then the conservatory off the kitchen is a great relaxed place for this.
The house is built on a recent housing development in Par, Par is a village and fishing port with a harbour on the south Cornish coast set between Charlestown and Fowey.
  • Amazingly good place to stay..lovely kitchen, bathroom, conservatory, and garden..enchanting night views over Par,peaceful, clean and relaxing, with a welcoming host, all in a very convenient location for exploring South Cornwall.Very highly recommended.

Having the shops in Par and the beach within walking distance is handy. You’d be hard pressed to find a more helpful, friendly, and welcoming host than Matthew.

We are located a short walk from 2 beaches and mainline railway station. The South West Coastal Path is just yards from our home. The Eden Project, lovely fishing harbour of Fowey and Charlestown with it's tall ships, frequently used for filming (most recently Poldark) are approx 3 miles away. This is a great location for exploring further afield in Cornwall due to it's central location. The beautiful coastline of North Cornwall is approximately 45 mins away.
The Annexe is on the ground floor at the rear of our village shop with an entrance via the driveway. The accommodation comprises a double bedroom, lounge with pull out 4 foot sofa bed, small but well-equipped kitchen with small table, and shower room. Babies are welcome but we are unable to provide cot etc. We provide Amazon Fire tv and DVD player in the lounge and free view/DVD playerin the bedroom. The space is perfect for 2 people however up to 4 people can be accommodated. We would suggest that the sofa bed is suitable for 2 children or 1 adult. We have had 2 adults sharing this, but please bear in mind that it is a 4 ft bed and not a full size double.
Within walking distance we have a holiday park with indoor swimming pool and tennis courts. There are 6 pubs within easy walking distance and 5 of these regularly have live music and discos. The Ship Inn has a general knowledge quiz on Tuesday nights. Most of the pubs have pool tables and 4 of them do evening meals. There is also an Italian restaurant on the beach. For days when the weather is less good we have a great adventure area for children just 2 miles away - Kidzworld has many activities available including soft play, trampolines, laser tag, roller skating, skytrail, dodgems etc. We also have a bowling alley and cinema 4 miles away at St Austell.

  • Harriet's was great, nice and neat and very clean. Great shower !!!! heaps of hot water. Had oven as well as microwave so we could reheat as well as cook. Small kitchen but ample room, table that extends for 4. Harriet and her husband who owned the shop in front of the airbnb couldnt do enough for us – gave us tips were to eat and local sights. Great walking distance to a great local pub “Welcome Home”. Fold out lounge in lounge-room was already made up for us to make the second room. We just couldn't work out TV remote very well (maybe that was us) as we wanted to watch a movie one night. It had off street parking – very central – Great. Not sure what the hanging porcelain fish pull cord (on off ) was for in the bathroom ??? maybe leave a note as to what it's for – initially we thought it was the fan but that turned on and off by itself? Overall we had a great stay. We wished we could have stayed another night but they were booked out – so close to Eden project and close to train to Louey. We got little treats, biscuits too & some milk in fridge – all ready for a cuppa on arrival!

    Tig2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Harriet’s place is a lovely place to stay. Squeaky clean and very comfortable too. Plenty of hot water, central heating, great shower and a very well equipped kitchen. Par is central for a number of attractions eg The Eden Project, the China Clay Museum, Charles Town, Heligan and is also on a main line railway with services to St Austell, Truro and further afield. There are beautiful beaches well within walking distance and good pubs for eating in too. What more could you ask for.

A caravan that looks like a cabin. it has 1 huge double bed and a gorgeous dining area. There is a hob, grill, sink and fridge. Outside a BBQ and more dining areas on a large wooden decking. A lovingly hand built shower and toilet cabin. Secluded and exclusive spaces with badminton and lawn games. A place to rest, relax and take in natures wonders.
The Caracabin sits in the grounds of a Georgian family home. With its unique look (a caravan that looks like a cabin) It has a large porch and its own lawns where you can play badminton; quoits or croquet or just relax in the sunshine or under the willow. Surrounded by woods and fields you feel like you are miles from everywhere but the shops; beach; mainline train station and Eden Project are all in walking distance. Drive for 10 minutes in any direction and you can visit the many fishing villages castles or even the film sites of Poldark. Also right on the doorstep are cycle trails and wonderful walks. The Saints Way walk passes the property.
Woodlands Caracabin is in a beautiful valley - across the valley is a small holding with ponies, alpacas and chickens. There are good Chinese and Indian restaurants and takeaways in St Blazey and Par. Prideaux and Luxylan Valley walk take in some stunning views including a walk across an old aquaduct.
  • A great little place, which is in a great location to explore Cornwall! We arrived in the evening and although the hosts were not in, we could easily get into the caracabin and settled in quickly! The facilities are great and the milk was a welcome addition to our arrival so we could have a hot drink. The information book had some great suggestions of places to visit and the pub suggestions for food were great! We went to the Rashleigh Inn and The Crown Inn - both were awesome and had great food and gins on the menu! We visited Mevagissey and Charlestown which were both lovely! We would also suggest visiting Perranporth which is a bit further afield but we had a great lunch at a vegan street food kitchen and walked along the beach (lots of dogs, which we loved) and also visited Lobbs Farm shop which was also a great place to get some local Cornish goodies! Thanks again for a great base for our stay! Would definitely stay again!

  • Had a lovely time staying here. Very clean, a warm welcome and close enough to cycle to Eden project. Fresh eggs and milk were a nice touch. Enjoyed the wood burner and Sarah and family very welcoming. Perfect little weekend getaway. Rachel and Adam

    Rachel2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived at Sarah’s place after a long and cold day at the Eden project. Sarah has kindly heated the fire for us, so we were greeted to a fantastically warm and cosy space! The place is exactly as it seems: cosy, ‘off the grid’ feel. This was our first experience with a compost toilet, it was super clean and easy to deal with! The shower was super clean, great pressure and heat to it! The additional bread, milk, eggs and butter was so delicious and perfect on a fresh morning! We had plenty of firewood to keep the place toasty through the night. This place is an absolute bargain, and a perfect escape night!

    Lydia2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We spend some nice Christmas days at Sarahs and Brians Bramble House. Cozy and sweet with a nice fireplace and heating blanket. Thank you!

  • Beautiful little spot, spotlessly clean inside as well as pristine shower and loo. No problems at all, was warm enough even in November! The electric blanket and welcome food pack were lovely. 5min drive to Eden. Highly recommended!

  • Such a cute little bolt hole. It felt like a little adventure staying here, almost off-grid (due to lack of wifi, tv, compost toilet etc) but creature comforts such as a little log burner and homely touches made it very comfy. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Ideal for undisturbed relaxation, in a huge garden in the centre of Tywardreath, 2 minutes from village shop, fish and chip shop, church and pub, 3 minutes from the local bus stop, and within walking distance of Par railway station, the beach and the coastal path. It is located in an Area of Outstanding natural Beauty. The Kitchen area has kettle, toaster microwave, cafetiere, crockery and cutlery. tea coffee and biscuits. Guests have access to the outhouse - en route to the Chalet - which houses a large fridge-freezer - where organic milk, bread, butter orange juice jam/marmalade and ground coffee are provided free.
Tywardreath is a very old village with lots of history, its name, translated from the Cornish, means 'house on the strand' - the title of one of Daphne du Maurier's novels. I could bore you with lots more on this subject :-). The village is a short distance uphill from the National Coast Path, the nearest beach (Par beach) - is very wide and has a large (paying) car park, dunes, a cafe, a pub at the entrance (The Ship), good, fine sand; gently sloping to the sea - so safe for young children. The water is very clean. The views are exceptional. Par has a post office, several pubs and shops, a small Co-op supermarket, library, bike hire and railway station - 15 minutes walk from the house. The Eden Project is 20 minutes by car.
  • This venue gave us very local access for so many attractions, especially the Eden Centre, Fowey, Polperro and Looe. Clive made our trip really easy, we felt very welcome and at home; he gave us countless tips and ideas about what to do locally and loaned us a very useful map outlining the shortcuts to places. The cabin was very cosy, despite the foul weather outside and Clive tried really hard to accommodate our use of wifi and various other needs. The washing up fairy meant that we could come home to all of that done and the use of the fridge was very helpful. For this and all the other very thoughtful touches, we were most grateful. Lovely place to stay for a short break.

  • Very quaint stay. Clive is super interesting and a thoughtful host

  • We really enjoyed our stay here, the chalet had everything we needed, in a peaceful setting and it was nice not to have a TV or any WiFi and switch off properly. The breakfast was delicious and thanks for our apples too! The chalet provided a great base to get to the beach, Fowey as well as walking distance to a great pub! Thanks Clive and Catherine for being such great hosts!

  • We would strongly recommend Clive's chalet. It's conveniently placed for those visiting the Eden Project, and it's only a few minutes walk from Par station, so if you're visiting Cornwall without a car, it's ideal. The chalet was exactly as described, and breakfast was delicious. Clive was an excellent host. He responded quickly to texts and gave us some tips for the local area.

  • This space is so cute! It has literally everything you need a shower and loo were spotless and the shower had plenty of hot water. The room itself was really cozy, and having a little log burner gave it that real country-getaway feel (even if our visit was a practical one!) Bed was perfect, plenty of blankets to stay warm in the chilly late-January weather. Fresh bread and eggs made for an easy, delicious breakfast in our PJs before we set off to explore the area. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for more!

Nestled between St Austell and Carlyon Bay, Charlestown is a picturesque, historic fishing port on the South East coast of Cornwall.Having largely resisted the modernisation and commercialisation of some other popular destinations, Charlestown has held onto it's unique, quintessential Cornish charm. For this reason, it has been a popular backdrop to a number of film and television projects, including Poldark, Dr Who and Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Steeped in history, no visit would be complete without a trip to the Charlestown shipwreck and Heritage centre, which exhibits a fascinating array of artefacts, stories and information about the village and it's maritime history. Aside from the museum, Charlestown also has a couple of art galleries, a harbourside pub boasting excellent views, a small sandy beach and a number of small shops to browse your way through.Once a year the village holds its annual Regatta: a week long event featuring watersports, games, sports competitions and a carnival, all to raise money for the village. With plenty to while away a very pleasant day, Charlestown is well worth a visit.

  • A great house in a great location! We appreciated having a dog-friendly house in this great location. We loved being able to walk down to the Charlestown beach each morning and evening, be within 5-10 minutes drive of beaches at Porthpean, Carlyon, and Par, and so close to grocery stores (Tesco, ASDA, and Lidl) for supplies for self-catering. The house was lovely and warm, stylish, and exactly what we were looking for. Would love to come back at some point.

Modern house with a lovely garden in a quiet estate. Less than a 5 minute walk to the train/bus station, which has direct links to the Eden Project, London and the North. The town centre is also less than a 5 minute walk away. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, gas hob, kettle, toaster, washing machine, dryer, etc. A bright, spacious lounge opens onto the garden through double doors. The driveway has room for two cars and parking is also available on the road.
The house will have new furniture to what is shown in the photos. Guests are welcome to use the kayaks, fishing rods, bbq, and whatever other fun things you can find in the garage. Please be respectful of neighbours; the estate is primarily occupied by young families who have to wake up early for jobs and school runs.
Most people who come to St Austell come for the things it's close to: beautiful beaches, amazing gardens and of course, the Eden Project. Don't get me wrong, these are all very good reasons to visit! But there are two little gems I'd like to give a mention that are within walking distance of the house. The first is the mining museum of Wheal Martyn. St Austell was a clay mining town after all, and the museum does a fantastic job of taking you through the history of the clay mining industry and how everything worked. With a wealth of indoor displays and a beautiful outside area to explore, there are a number of ways to enjoy your visit there. The second is Menacuddle Well, which is a magical little place that is free to visit. It lies just outside of town, where the St Austell river flows through the valley. It's not a tourist destination, there are no toilets or cafes, just a few very old man-made structures (including a small waterfall) in a woodland clearing that was recently unearthed and is now maintained. Unfortunately it is right next to a busy road, but once you're down at the water's edge you can hardly hear it, and the whole place is very peaceful and calming. I'll be more than happy to provide maps for walking or driving to each of these places, as well as some tips to stay off of the roads as much as possible if walking.

The nearest beach (Par) is about 1 mile and an easy walk with Polkerris next to it where you will find the Rasleigh pub and Sam's on the beach doing lovely food with great views. Charlestown harbour with its tall ships, cafes and pubs is about 2 miles; Fowey, which is a boating community, is 3 miles with shops, restaurants, boat trips and fishing and Mevagissey which has a working harbour is 5 miles distant. Of course the Eden Project is less than a mile away up the back lanes and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are 5 miles on the way to Mevagissey. There is also the National Trust property and gardens at Lanhydrock about 3 miles. If golf is your thing there are public courses at Porthpean (2 miles); St. Austell (4 miles). St. Austell town is just over 3 miles and has a variety of shops, pubs and banks. Also there is a large market at Par (1 mile). Some recommended pubs would be the King of Prussia, Fowey; Rashleigh at Polkerris; Pier House at Charlestown and The Polgooth Inn at Polgooth and lastly The Sharksfin at Mevagissy.
  • Brilliant place close to Eden project.

  • Beautiful, well thought out, comfortable and spotlessly clean little house. Everything you need for a lovely holiday. Excellent hosts, very helpful and kind. Good location for exploring Cornwall.

  • Cosy and clean. Alan and Gina were great hosts. Our 4 year old son slept on the sofa bed and our 3 month baby slept in a travel cot in the bedroom. Space was tight but we managed for 5 nights. Alan and Gina provided the travel cot which was in brand new condition. Would recommend as it’s a great location for seeing much of Cornwall. We went to Padstow, Eden Project and Charlestown all short drives.

Castle Dore Barn is a prefect retreat for relaxing in the Cornish countryside. With breath-taking views of the rolling countryside populated with wildlife. The barn is centrally located to enjoy many of Cornwall's attractions with beautiful scenic walks and cycling trails. Lovely beaches are only a couple of miles away. Castle Dore Barn is in a quiet rural location with beautiful views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
  • Just fantastic in every way. Beautiful barn in an amazing location. Perfectly peaceful. We'll definitely be back.

  • A lovely place to stay with great hosts. Beautiful countryside and lots of great days out.

    Soledad2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Castledore Barn. Four nights wasn't enough! The views are great and the barn itself is beautifully furnished and very clean. Comfy beds, lovely shower, great kitchen! Cream Tea on arrival as well as freshly laid eggs. Colin gave us a tour of the farm on our last day and our little one rode the tractor which was fab. Despite the wind and rain we had throughout our stay, we had a lovely time. I'm sure we'll be back! Thank you!

    Lauren2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from a truly wonderful stay at Amanda and Colin’s barn. The place is a little piece of heaven. The Barn itself is beautifully laid out and decorated. The views are stunning and the morning sunrise is breathtaking. We had fun playing tennis and the kids toys were very handy. Amanda and Colin really are “Super Hosts”. The welcoming touches on arrival made us feel at home straight away. Scones, wine, biscuits, fresh flowers and of course the sausages and bacon. Wow! We would recommend this place to anybody who wants to experience the beauty and tranquility of Cornwall. We loved every minute of our stay.

  • Everything we hoped for and more... Nothing is too much trouble and the location is stunning... we were torn between visiting Cornwall’s sites or staying in the beautiful barn all day.... Definately worth a visit and I’m sure that will lead to return visits as it has us.. Roll on next year.....

    Bill2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a stunning barn! Amanda was so welcoming making sure we had a cot and high chair so we didn’t have to lug extra things in the car. The cream teas and fresh coffee on arrival was second to none. It’s a lovely beautiful living space with spacious bedrooms. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much!

    Hannah2018-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely location!! Amanda & Colin were brilliant, complimentary cream teas and amazing accommodation! Before I had even left I had already recommended friends to take a visit! Cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you Amanda & Colin.

  • 10/10 Just come back from a wonderful week away in Cornwall. It was sad to say goodbye to the lovely barn and its stunning views. We had everything we needed and more, thanks to the cream tea on arrival, which was very much appreciated. Amanda and Colin were great - the cot and high chair provided for our four month old saved us some space in our three door car! The location was great for us, as we wanted to explore the local area, but also go a bit further out to Falmouth and St Ives, which were both only an hour away. The barn is very well insulated and very peaceful, the next time we visit Cornwall we will be back.

Hallane Mill is an immaculately restored cottage nestled at the bottom of a valley where it meets the sea with a shingle beach and unrivalled views. You will not find a better spot for a romantic retreat in Cornwall.
There are very few properties in Cornwall as private as this, yet so close to the sea. The coast path actually meanders around the back of the house and there is a shingle beach 5m in front of the property. The Mill itself has been beautifully restored, with amazing attention to detail, and tastefully decorated and furnished while maximising character features. Imagine watching the sun rise over the sea while sipping a morning cup of tea or coffee followed by a refreshing dip in the crystal waters.Porthpean Beach is just to the north and is sandy, safe and sheltered with rock pools at the south western extremity while at the opposite end the cliffs are mainly populated by nesting birds. There is an 18 hole golf course just above it on the cliff top. The Eden Project is just to the east of St Austell, the Lost Gardens of Heligan a short drive to the south west, the picturesque Roseland Peninsula with its quaint fishing villages is within half an hour's drive and Newquay's vibrant surfing lifestyle and golden beaches are a similar distance to the north.Accommodation Ground Floor: Entrance into small utility room with doors to: Downstairs WC with handbasin. Open plan kitchen / dining room with fully fitted units and table and chairs, back door to rear patio, opening into double aspect lounge with stunning sea views, wood burning stove in stone fireplace, comfortable sofas and TV. Trenarren is equidistant between Porthpean, Charleston and St Austell to the north and Pentewan, Mevagissey and Caerhays to the south.Porthpean has a marvellous central location, a mere 5 minutes from the centre of St Austell yet sitting on a south east facing hill with a splendid view of St Austell Bay. The eighteen hole golf course has a mix with the front nine in a parkland setting bordering Penrice Woods with distant rural views of Cornwall, the back nine has an unsurpassed view across the bay towards Fowey. Porthpean Beach is sandy and sheltered and is a safe place to swim, paddle, explore rock pools or watch the nesting birds on the cliff.Less than a 10 minute drive away is the pretty harbour of Charlestown which offers plenty of places to get food and drink, a sweet shop, a couple of galleries and a Ship Wreck museum. It can also be reached by means of the coastal footpath from Porthpean. It is an excellent village to visit for a relaxed pub meal whilst enjoying views over the harbour and out to sea. There is also a small beach.Pentewan (just north of Mevagissey) has an industrial past that is still evident in the village today. It was once a busy harbour built by a local mine owner for shipping china clay. Inland is the Pentewan Valley Trail which is 4km of woodland and riverside walking following an old gauge railway to the village of London Apprentice. The village also has a small, friendly pub with tables on the old harbourside. There is a wonderful sandy, beach which is ideal for families. The town of Mevagissey is just a 5 minute drive in a southerly direction. Mevagissey is a wonderful little Cornish fishing village in South East Cornwall. Ideally located within easy reach of both The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. The tiny seaside village is packed with old Cornish cottages complete with narrow alleyways leading to converted fish cellars offering gift shops, galleries, pubs and cafes. Once a major Pilchard port, now the harbour boasts a smaller fleet, many of which provide sea tours, or boat trips to Fowey situated further up the South coast. The Harbour provides an ideal back drop for a fish and chip supper, followed by a stroll through the town at dusk. With a 10 minute drive to The Lost Gardens of Heligan and 30 minutes to the Eden Project, Mevagissey provides a excellent location for the keen gardener. Gorran Haven nearby offers an alternative day out as well as Pentewan with its fresh water dock basin. You can continue south along the coast down to Caerhays Castle and Porthluney Cove. Cliff walks in all directions along the coast offer spectacular views out across the St Austell Bay.The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are within an easy drive and so this is an excellent location for the keen gardener. Nearby Gorran Haven offers an alternative day out. You can continue south along the coast down to Caerhays Castle and Porthluney Cove. Cliff walks in all directions along the coast offer spectacular views out across the St Austell Bay with the coastal path only a few minutes walk from the cottage.St Austell was once the major producer of the world's China Clay. Now with cheaper foreign imports the industry is in decline but The Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum set in two former working pits depicts the countryside in years gone by. Wet weather activities could include the visitor centre at St Austell Brewery, sampling beers and ales made on the premises. The brewery has recently started exporting its products across the Tamar River to England, so you may just find where your favourite brew is made.

There are loads of channels…in fact too many! Just browse through, many channels are in HD. The TV also has NETFLIX and there is a NETFLIX button on the controller…. Hopefully you have a Netflix account as it’s a great chance to sit around in the evening and watch a movie on the 65” television. At the other end of the loft room there is a kids zone (maybe big kids too). There are two armchairs here with an XBOX One and smaller TV where the kids can play whilst the adults watch a movie (or vice versa). There are a selection of XBOX games available, 2 controllers and 2 sets of Bluetooth headphones. There are also a selection of board games and a book swap if you fancy a new book or discarding of a book Please note the attic room has limited headspace as you go up the stairs. Please mins your head as you go up and down Sash windows to the side aspects and a double glazed dormer window to the front aspect. There is also useful eaves storage. Gardens and the Fire pit….. Roselyn house is located in 1.5 acres of woodland and gardens. Much of this has been left to nature where a range of birds and animals live which hopefully you’ll get to see. 1. The ‘goat garden’: to the steps to the front door – there aren’t actually any goats here but there used to be! You can sit and relax here in the shade, have a picnic or do anything you want…. It’s a natural area which you have easy access to and doesn’t involve and steps. 2. The ‘lower garden’: opposite door you’ll see a sign leading you down a flight of steps…head to the left at the bottom of these steps and there is a nice flat area of lawn. There is a set of Lawn Bowls/Penque available to play here or a Giant Jenga. (please be careful on the steps as there is no hand rail) 3. The ‘Deck’: Head to the right at the bottom of the steps and you’ll get to the deck. The deck has 4 lounge style chairs and a raised platform all around where you can lie or sit. (Do not roll off the back of the deck!). There is also an electrical socket fastened to the brown wooden deck on the right of the garden. Use the plastic picnic set in this zone if you want. 4. The ‘Stone Circle and Fire pit’: At the far end of the garden on the other side of the deck is a stone circle surrounding a fire pit. You are welcome to sit around and have a real BBQ! We try to keep the wood pile stocked but I would recommend that you bring a bag of wood (or charcoal if you prefer) with you for when you arrive. If not the goat garden often has wood lying around. BBQ tools are available in the lower right drawer of the breakfast bar cupboard.
Located in a tucked away position within the coastal villages of Par and St Blazey. Par provides a choice of shopping and social facilities together with mainline railway station linking Penzance to London Paddington. Par also has a delightful sandy beach and an array of coastal walks surrounding it.
  • Great house in good location. Would recommend to anyone.

  • Perfect host, good location for business trip to Eden. Recommended.

    Ed2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • A fabulous stay in a unique location. The property has the feeling of being very secluded. It is placed very well for exploring nearby attractions like the Eden Project, Charlestown and Padstow. There is a great pub about a 20 minute walk towards the beach called The Par Inn, the landlord Matt is fab offering lots of advice on where to go. We didn't meet Peter, we met Lynnette who is the neighbour attached to the house, she seemed very friendly. We enjoyed the fire pit on the first night, there is plastic picnic set to use outside, there are lots of thoughtful additions to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are lovely and big and the kitchen/diner is great and very well equipped. The only problem with the stay was the lack of internet speed which stopped us from using the movie attic room for Netflix which is a shame. We were advised that it must have been a fault with the provider. All in all a good base and we enjoyed our stay.

    Julia2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This home is very quiet, set in its own mature grounds, the interiors are stylish and very comfortable. Peter emailed to check everything was ok and the neighbour was very welcoming and helpful. It is a brilliant base to explore Cornwall from, everything is within easy reach. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would come back again.

  • Great space to enjoy some family time together.

    Victoria2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed in this wonderfully unique house twice now as a base to visit the nearby Eden Project and could not recommend it more highly. The house is conveniently located close to amenities and has plenty to offer to enjoy a great stay with a fantastic games/entertainment room, outdoor garden firepit and large kitchen/dining room. The house was spotlessly clean and you'll find that just about everything you'd ever need has been provided.

    Celine2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This fantastic house is a real hidden gem, within 10 minutes of the Eden Project right next to the shop for easy access to supplies for a short break. We only stayed 2 nights but the house was beautifully set up when we arrived and we wish we could have stayed longer! A special mention for the cinema and games room on the top floor which was enjoyed by children and adults alike! We even managed to get a JustEat Chinese to deliver! Fantastic stay thank you :)

    Rachel2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • The house is set in such lovely woodland with a large open garden and we loved the wonderful fire pit and decking! Fantastic for older children. It's a great location and we found we could get to so many special places easily from there - we enjoyed visiting the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Polkerris, Polperro and Mevagissey. It is a very peaceful setting and yet so close to a large Coop which came in very handy every evening! The house is great - very spacious and the top room with the huge TV screen was a big favourite. We had a relaxed and comfortable stay - thank you Peter!

  • I booked a one-night stay for my daughter who was working in the area. She was very pleased with the friendliness of Carole and the accommodation itself. It proved to be a very convenient location for her work in the St Austell area and she may well stay here again if working in this area.

  • Carol was a very welcoming host with a beautiful home. We were very comfortable here after a long day of walking in the rain! Definitely recommend.

    Louisa2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Carol’s airbnb is a beautiful space to come back to after a day out exploring. And it was so comfy that sleeping in longer than usual happened once or twice. The bathroom was very large and in pristine condition and all the quaint little touches in the decor definitely made it feel like a holiday cottage. Also, during check-in, Carol was very helpful and ensured I knew where everything was, that everything was working and that I had some ideas about what to do while there. I would definitely come back again.

    Teagan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Carol’s place, it was perfectly located for a wedding we were attending nearby. We chose to stay for an extra day to explore the local area and Carol was very helpful indeed with some recommendations and directions. The room has its own access through a side gate and patio doors so it feels like your own place, even though it is attached to the house. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful view over the garden and hillside, the large stylish bathroom and very comfortable bed. It was lovely to have some breakfast essentials provided, including some yummy homemade marmalade!

    Kimberley2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Carol's accommodation was so beautifully clean, stylish and well thought out with great facilities including various places to sit and enjoy the view. We felt very comfortable coming and going as the unit is self contained with its own side entrance. Carol went the extra mile by providing a supply of milk and cereals throughout the week and she shared great local knowledge with us. We enjoyed the location for being walking distance from shops and cafes etc, a great starting point for coastal walks, and not far from great days out around cornwall. I'd definitely recommend this accommodation!

Penstrassoe 3 Within walking distance to Charlestown and easy access to the Eden Project, Heligan Gardens and many beautiful Cornish beaches, this room will provide you with a comfortable base to explore the wonders of Cornwall.
A double room with TV, Amazon Firestick, tea & coffee making facilities, newly refurbished family bathroom.
Locally there is an excellent provision of food choices within walking distance. We are also perfectly positioned to explore the entire County. Previous guests have visited The Historic Port of Charlestown (Poldark has been filmed here), Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Within an hour you can be walking on Bodmin Moor or swimming in the blue waters of Porth Curnow. Beaches are plentiful! The most local is Carlyon Bay with others such as Porthpean, Pentewan, Caerhays and Polkerris a short drive away. If you fancy exploring more widely head for the Roseland Peninsula and look for Carne, Pendower and Caerhayes. The North Coast is more rugged and a fantastic spot to watch the sun set. Personally I love, Newquay, Crantock, Holywell Bay, Polzeath, Harlin Bay & Perranporth. St Austell town centre is a short stroll left out of the house and up the hill. It has a variety of independent and high street stores and is definitely worth a potter if you have time. Truro is larger and the Cathedral City of Cornwall. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes in the city as well as the Museum for Cornwall and of course the stunning Cathedral! If you like walking I thoroughly recommend ‘IWALK Cornwall’ which is a free app and has loads of fantastic circular walks for every taste, covering the whole of Cornwall. A walk costs £1.99 to download and uses GPS to guide you every step of the way. Eating and Drinking Costa – great for a coffee and snack breakfast – turn right out of the house and cross at the double roundabout. Follow the road towards Mevagissey and you will find Costa in the complex on your right. You can’t miss McDonalds and KFC which are also in that area! Frankie and Bennie’s, Wetherspoons & Prezzo are in the White River Place, turn left out of the house, 2 mins walk up the hill along with a host of independents including Smorgers, Nepalese Gurkha Restaurant, Watermargin Chinese Restaurant, Walkers Fish & Chips If you fancy something different head for Charlestown to eat or drink. There is a plethora of bars, restaurants and coffee shops, some of which are listed below. All have a pleasant atmosphere & serve high quality food but please make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment*: The Longstore* - Charlies Boathouse* - The Pier House Hotel* - Rashleigh Inn * - The Harbourside - Charlies Coffee Shop – Pentewan is 10 min drive and offers, Simply Judes Brasserie and The Kingswood Restaurant can be found 5 minutes away in London Apprentice A more complete guide can be found: https://www.eatoutcornwall.com/restaurants/st-austell/
  • Jer’s place was spotlessly clean and good value for money, he was a very friendly host and asked multiple times if everything was ok and if there was anything else he could do to make my stay better. Would definitely recommend Pentrassoe if you're looking for a cheap and cheerful place close to St Austell town centre.

  • We cannot recommended this as a getaway destination highly enough. It’s a beautiful little space in the back end of nowhere. Wonderful! Sadly our trip was cut short but we absolutely loved our brief time there. The instructions, communication, decor, location, price and tips were all spot on. Definitely stay here! We’ll be back again soon!

    Tom2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great little space with all you need. Folder full of recommendations. Parking right outside. Would love to return in the summer. Lovely local pub Crown Inn.

  • The Sheep Shed is truly a lovely little space to stay in. It is very well equipped for the cosy and compact size, quite remote but lovely and peaceful. The instructions from the host on how to get there were accurate and helped considering I arrived when it was getting dark. The shower and toilet are compact but clean and the water was lovely and warm in the shower. Everything is well thought out, and even though I was there whilst storm Ciara was travelling in, it was very warm and cosy. The little welcome basket with cereal and fruit is a lovely little touch :) I definitely hope to return in the future for another getaway, hopefully with my other half this time! Thank you again x

  • This was the perfect country get away! Our host went the full mile to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She was knowledgeable and welcoming and easy to contact. The Sheep Shed is cosy and equipped with all that you need. The location is central to both coasts. We would definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet country break!

  • A great place to stay! Exactly what you expect from the pictures and description. You're not too far from Bodmin to be able to go to a bigger shop or to a town if you want but you are very much in the countryside. Went for a 2 day trip to Cornwall and this was the perfect place to stay near lots of good places. Lanhydrock is a lovely national trust place to visit and had an amazing lunch down in Charlestown.

  • Great location to discover local attractions. Accommodation cosy and compact but very well laid out and contained everything we needed. Pub walkable and served lovely food.

The Old Carriage Works is a split level apartment in the magnificent grade 2 listed building originally designed by Brunel. It nestles alongside the upper tidal reaches of the Fowey River which flows past the property. The apartment itself has retained many character features including high ceilings and granite walls while maintaining an air of modern luxury.
The Old Carriage Works is part of a railway building originally constructed in the 1860s and designed by Brunel himself, the exposed stonewalling, high arched windows and industrial timber beams add to the timeless grace of the renovation. However inside all modern conveniences are catered for with a superbly well equipped kitchen and tasteful decor and furnishings through out.On one side of the Old Carriage Works the Fowey river trickles through the shallows and ducks paddle calmly through the dappled water, on the other side is the railway line and Lostwithiel Station. The station provides an opportunity to visit some of Cornwall's key towns (including Penzance, St Ives, Falmouth and many others) without the need to take your car. You can also travel direct to Lostwithiel from London. As a stannary town Lostwithiel is one of Cornwall's hidden gems with a wonderful atmosphere but also close to the Eden Project and the stunning south coast towns of Fowey, Looe and Polperro.AccommodationSituated on the first and second floors of the building the apartment is on split levelsLower Level: Enter into hallway with doors leading to: Kitchen with fully fitted units. For those wishing to visit the delights of places such as The Eden Project, Charlestown and Fowey, this is the area for you, located on the Eastern side of St Austell. With large attractions such as the Eden Project on the outskirts of St Austell, The Lost Gardens of Heligan towards Mevagissey, and Lanhydrock National Trust House & Gardens a short drive inland it provides an ideal base for your travels. The coastal town of Fowey is a simple drive to the coast past the China Clay port of Par, offering fabulous restaurants, galleries and gift shops. Daphne du Maurier spent her later years in properties in and around Fowey.Just over the hill from Eden Valley lies the ancient stannary town of Lostwithiel, Cornwall's hidden treasure, nestling in the Fowey River valley and overlooked by the 12th century Restormel Castle. This ancient town with its quaint old buildings is full of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, centering around St Bartholomew church which dates back to before 1170. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside with the Fowey Rover meandering through the centre of the town. St Austell was once the major producer of the world's China Clay; now with cheaper foreign imports, the industry is in decline but The Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum set in two former working pits depicts the countryside in years gone by. Wet weather activities could include the visitor centre at St Austell Brewery, sampling beers and ales made on the premises. The Eden Project hosts many bands throughout the season as well as featuring an Ice Rink out of season.Bodmin was the former county town of Cornwall for many years and the only Cornish town to be recorded in the Domesday Book, which was lodged in the town's prison during the First World War. The county prison is now a museum and open to the public. It was the first prison in the country to have separate cells. The oldest part of the town is made up of mainly granite buildings clustered around the Bodmin Beacon. The Beacon is a 144 feet tall obelisk in memory of Sir Walter Raleigh Gilbert. The area around the Beacon which has woodland and traditional hay meadow was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 1994. At Tregullon you are just 10 miles away from The Eden Project and 2 miles away from the National Trust's amazing Lanhydrock House.Nearby Bodmin Moor, bisected by the newly expanded A30, is home to one of Cornwall's Areas of Oustanding Natural Beauty, reaching a height of 1,377 feet above sea level at Brown Willy, Cornwall's highest point. The heather covered granite moorland provides East Cornwall with the most stunning country views and rugged walks. Near Blisland you will find two of Cornwall's stone circles, the Trippet Stones and Stripple Stone Henge and just round the corner, one end of the famous Camel Trail. The 18 mile Camel Trail follows the route of the old railway along traffic free paths, providing a fairly flat cycle through Bodmin and Wadebridge out to Padstow, eminently suitable for families.

  • Treganoon Round Barn is perfectly situated for families to explore the main tourist spots in the area (Eden project, Charlestown, Bodmin Steam Railway to name a few). The barn itself was stocked with all amenities we could need including plenty of toys and games for our son to enjoy. The barn was cosy and warm on the stormy winter nights and is in a very tranquil location with no worries of any noise disturbance. Jenny was on hand to help us connect to the wi-fi and also let us have a look at the owl cam in her home before we left.

  • A very comfortable barn, ideal for family holidays, in a beautiful, tranquil location. Richard provided two cots, two highchairs and a stairgate for us, at our request in advance, as our little grandsons were staying with us. Everything was in place when we arrived and we all had a wonderful time. There were lots of toys and books for the little ones too, so it was perfect. We'd love to visit again.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to the countryside and the peace David

  • This was an amazing property. There was 6 of us staying here an was more than big enough. With free rage chickens running around. The property was clean and we had a great welcome with fresh scones. Location nice and close to the Eden project and the beaches, but far away so all you could hear was the sound of the birds. None of us wanted to leave. Would recommend this to everyone:)

  • The house was amazing. We brought our dogs and were so welcomed. After a long journey, we were grateful to arrive to milk and coffee etc to make a well needed hot drink. The property was huge and so safe for dogs and small children. The area was so peaceful and we felt very safe. The house had everything, we didnt need for one thing during our 10 night stay. The host was easy to contact and always very kind. The beds were superb and it was lovely having 3 bathrooms. The conservatory was beautiful all day as it caught the sun. I definitely recommend the WELCOME HOME INN ( dog friendly) for a great value meal with huge portions. PAR SANDS was beautiful and great for dog walkers and if you really want a special day, take a 40 minute drive to Porthcothan bay where you can visit its store, grab an ice cream, take your dogs and kids to the stunning coves and warm waters and still be close to toilets. We definitely will be coming back!

The Crow's Nest offers a stylish and cosy self catering flat with double bed, en suite, fully equipped kitchen and views of the surrounding countryside both inland and towards the coast. This third floor apartment, although part of the hosts home, is completely private and just a short walk from Par Sands. It's finished to a high standard and offers excellent levels of comfort. Susie and Joe are friendly, approachable and happy to assist with local recommendations. Well situated for walkers.
1 bedroom with double bed, toilet with shower and fully equipped kitchen. We are well situated, just a 5 minute walk from Par station and on several bus routes. Only a 3 mile drive away or 50 minute walk is the Eden Project. Beautiful Fowey Harbour is just a ten minute drive or you can enjoy the sea views on the short bus ride. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are also close by. There are several pubs within walking distance and the Coast path and Clay trail meanders past the house so great for walkers. We also have Carlyon golf course on the doorstep. There are local amenities such as a Co-op store and Spar open 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week. A Chinese takeaway and fish and chip shop are also within walking distance. The Crow's Nest makes an ideal base for exploring our stunningly beautiful coastline, small towns and villages.
Just a ten minute drive from Fowey and the Eden project. There are Coffee shops, pubs, a Chinese takeaway and a fish n chip shop plus the beach all within easy walking distance. The coastal path being just twenty yards away and the train station a ten minute walk means we're a convenient place to stay for those on a walking holiday. If you enjoy walking there's a lovely coastal walk to Polkerris with a welcoming pub at the end the Rashleigh Arms Dame Daphne du Maurier (Lady Browning), was an English author and playwright who made this coastline her Cornish home. Just a little further along the coastal path towards Fowey you will walk past a lovely cottage with a lake where she once lived. I'd like to think it was the beach house she spoke of in her novel Rebecca. Another of her books 'House on the Strand' was based in the village of Tywardreath and surrounding area. Why not explore inland and walk one of the many mapped routes, one of our favourite walks is the stunning Luxulyan valley, a twenty minute drive away. Many National Trust houses such as Lanhydrock are also close by however, If you're looking for a more adventurous way to explore from a different view point then we highly recommend one of the stand up paddle (SUP) experiences. You can book lessons, social sups or tasters e.mail: paddlecornwallsup or we can give you details on arrival, it's a great way to explore the river Fowey and it's wildlife. Ask for contact details on booking. If you're a Poldark fan then you can't go home without visiting Charlestown where much of the filming was done. It's a walk back in time and the home to several pubs who serve excellent food and a harbour where you'll see several square rigged ships that are used for filming and training. It's amazing to see them out at sea under full sail and a real treat to watch them negotiate the return to their birth in the harbour
  • The room was amazing! Room and services were very comfortable and the provisions were excellent. Would definitely stay again 10/10

  • My wife and I have tried a few Airbnb places. This is the best so far. It’s warm, cozy, spotlessly clean and it’s been tastefully decorated in pleasing colours. The hosts Susie and Joe are very nice. They left us bread, milk, butter, cereals, coffee, biscuits, etc to get us started! There’s lashings of hot water, the heating is on 24/7. All the accoutrements you need to be self catering are provided. The place is a delight.

  • We had a lovely weekend at The Hollies. It is a beautiful home and is very well equipped. Lovely touch to have milk and a cream tea in the fridge when we arrived. The house was lovely and clean. It is very spacious and suited us as a family of 6. We had three generations and it was fab. The only thing to be careful with is the stairs, as they are rather steep, but this is to be expected in a property of it age. I couldn’t fault a thing. Darren was brilliant, on the one and only time we had to contact the him. We would definitely recommend The Hollies and if we come back to the area we would book again.

  • We have just returned from a wonderful stay at The Hollies. The house was characterful and spacious and the bedrooms were clean and very comfortable. We were especially grateful to find fresh milk in the fridge so we could have a cup of tea! Par is a lovely village with a gorgeous beach nearby.

  • Perfect location to visit the Eden Project - 10 mins by car. Took a 15 minute bus ride to Fowey - regularly transports every half hour. Beach - a short walk away. Our favourite being the 'harbour beach', with rocks to climb and rock pools to explore. The house is well equipped, comfortable and homely, with an unexpected 'welcome treat' of scones, jam & cream! Thank-you.

  • Plenty of space for a family of four plus grandma. Just 5 minutes from the Eden Project, perfect location to stay for a wedding there.
