Charming cottage in Portloe

SusannahRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Sara is a great host, she called me after we booked. She was very quick to respond to questions. She gave us recommendations for local beaches & pubs. We ate at both the Ship Inn & the Lugger Hotel opposite. Both of which were good at different ends of the price scale. Cottage is as it looks in the photos and was clean with lovely white bedlinen. Super shower with good water pressure. Sadly we didnt have the best of weather but there are masses to lovely gardens to visit like Trebah Gardens which has its own beach. Also the Eden Project is 35 minutes away. Thank you.

Don’t skip booking this Airbnb! It is everything one could hope for! The view from the balcony is just breathtaking, pictures really don’t do it justice. Every morning felt like waking up in a dream especially with the ocean views. Christine is the perfect host, she is lovely, welcoming, and so thoughtful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Her place is spotless, beautifully maintained, and well equipped with everything you require. The location is perfect as well. We had such a lovely time as a family and to be honest, this was more than just a stay; it was an experience, and it was epic!

We had a wonderful stay and a really beautiful spot. Hamish and Helen had thought of everything and were fantastic at giving us local recommendations. Lots of really lovely walking both coastal and in pretty estuaries. Loved taking the little ferry to St Mawes and would recommend The Lugger in Portloe for a special meal and the best cream tea!

Castle Cottage

MichelleRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Fantastic location, very protected for the elements with a 2min walk to a quaint pont, good for birding. A 10min walk to the bridge overlooking the estuary, just breathtaking. Cottage was very comfortable, everything you need is there, literally home from home. TV, good selection of DVDs, even a PlayStation for the kids on those rainy days. It was really clean and homey, spending 7 days there was easy. It is also central when wanting to explore. Will definitely go back :)
