After a 15 minute drive up from Lucca you will find yourselves surrounded by olive groves with stunning views out over the mountainsides and valleys. Your room After leaving your car in the shade of the olive trees, after just a few steps you will be at the private entrance to your romantic bedroom with lovely views from every window - even from the shower! There is an en-suite bathroom complete with toiletteries and hairdryer. The accommodation is located on a country farm, a 5-minute drive from the center of Volterra. After Porta Diana, take a short stretch of the Municipal road of S. Margherita until you reach a dirt road, the sign Bosco dell'Iris Nero leads you, along a 900-meter path, to the location. Here there are chestnut trees, olive trees, flowers and a pleasant view of the valley. You can meet roe deer, porcupines and wild boars. The cuckoo, the hoopoe, and the woodpecker inhabit the surrounding forest.

“La dimora del Codirosso” is my historic family home in which I rent a part to those who travel or seek rest, rediscovering the atmosphere of the past. The house is hidden in a small medieval village in the Norther Tuscany, Brucciano, among the tranquility of the woods and mountains of Garfagnana's area. On request I’ll be happy to prepare for you a delicious Italian breakfast or other meals but, remember, these service are not included in the price and not available on Sunday.
