Family-friendly vacation rentals in Mousehole

We really enjoyed staying here as a group of five adults and 1 toddler. Plenty of room for us all and having 2 bathrooms was really great. The cabin is comfy and cosy, with beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. We used the cabin as a base to explore Cornwall as it is located centrally within easy reach of many popular towns. We loved coming back to the cabin in the evening and using the hot tub and waking up to the very friendly alpacas! You do have to drive up a very narrow and steep lane to reach the cabin but we were lucky that the lane is very quiet and so we never met any oncoming traffic. We would absolutely recommend and would love to return one day.

Fabulous, looked great on the photos but even better in reality. The outside space with the sofas on the sunny terrace and hot tub was lovely, very well equipped spacious kitchen, lots of living space, loved the dining conservatory with views, pool table. Seahorse had everything we needed and more. Great location with easy walk to carbis bay and easy access to St Ives centre and beaches via 3 minute train ride. We loved it, Thank you

A wonderful peaceful place which felt like a retreat. The owners were friendly and being able to join in with feeding the animals in the morning was great (not just for children). Sauna and hot tub was great. They would check what time we wanted it put on which was considerate. Was a surprise weekend for our mum and was even better than expected. Thank you for the stay x

One night is not enough!! The hot tub was the highlight of this place as it felt super relaxing and calming after our super long drive to cornwall. We visited cornwall’s beaches and Shaun’s place was so comfortable and cozy that we only wish we could stay for a bit longer or at least be able to check-in earlier for a more relaxing experience. The bathroom was squeaky clean, hygienic and really cute and made the girls feel comfortable as home. The cottage had almost all amenities needed for the stay. It was one of the most affordable places in Cornwall and would definitely return!

We had such a wonderful time at Mill Pool Lodge despite some grey and wet weather. The beds were comfortable, the house is simply furnished and had what we needed. Jenni had sweetly made a delicious home made cream tea for our arrival. The gardens are absolutely stunning, tones of space to explore, all with different characters, it was wonderful walking round and spending time outside there, the birdsong was incredible and the Merlin bird ID app identified a tone of species. We enjoyed the hot tub too, and had a very relaxing time. We used the place as a base to explore our favourite North Cornwall beaches and towns. They also kindly lent us body boards as we forgot to bring ours! Would absolutely come back, what an incredible and special place, thank you for sharing it with us!!

What a wonderful find. We met at Tygwella for a family holiday, some of us coming from Australia and some from Manchester. The house was ideal. It was spacious so we could occupy different “wings” with our own bathrooms and come together for meals, chat and play. The house was very generously supplied with basic provisions, kitchen and laundry equipment. We wanted for nothing. Having two ovens was great for cooking adult and children’s meals. The location was so peaceful with great views and easy access to the coast path and beach.

Thanks Kate and Simon, I know our stay was short but you made us very welcome and were sure to stay in touch before, during and after our stay. We also appreciated you leaving us some little essential food items and a surprise bottle of fizz! A very cosy stay.

Fantastic location, a beautiful view to wake up to each morning. Beach/cafes/bakery a short walk away. Perfectly located for visiting the wider area on both the north and south coasts. Cottage well appointed for a comfortable stay.

I stayed here with my niece for three nights. We both thought the apartment was even nicer than the photos. It’s in a great location, so we left the car in the designated parking space at the station carpark and walked everywhere we wanted to go for the first 2 days, then drove down to Lands End on the third (highly recommended). There’s loads to see and do in St Ive’s and some great restaurants, we loved it there. The apartment was really comfortable and had everything we needed. Michael was only next door and very friendly, he gave some local recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed for a lovely stay, and was very welcoming to us and my dog too.

This was our second stay at Sharon's barn and we will definitely come back again. It's in a great location, has all the bits and pieces you need for a week's holiday and is incredibly comfortable. the bed is very comfy and we slept soundly, waking ready for a walk to the beach for a swim.

We had an amazing stay in St Ives and would definitely come again. My kids loved the trip from Surfing, fishing and reconnecting with family movies. Lorna was very helpful and welcoming and the house was perfect. Definitely recommend the walk down / short drive to Carbis where we would spend our evenings on the beach.

We loved staying at the property. It was bright and clean, and uncluttered. It had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped. The weather was changeable while we were there, but we felt very cosy when needed. The location is fantastic, we had come down by train, and were able to walk to Marazion. We also had access to the Penzance bus, which we used on our last day to get to the train station. There are also local shops and pubs within walking distance. Karly and her family were very friendly, we felt we could have approached them if we had needed anything. They had very thoughtfully left a bottle of wine and milk for when we arrived. We will be returning to Cornwall in the future, and would stay at this property again, it was such good value for money for the high standard of accommodation.

We spent 4 nights here over new year as a couple with our little dog. This space was private with a lovely garden with a babbling brook, which was perfect for our dog to explore (not secure for dog escapologists :-) ) . We hope to be back in the summer so we could sit out on the garden as it was lovely. The rooms inside were spacious and clean, as mentioned before the bed was so comfortable and huge. The enauite bathroom was perfect with a lovely hot shower and plenty of room to move around. The furnishing were clean and very tastefully decorated which helped make it feel cosy, warm and welcoming. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our own food and drinks. Overall this is a great space to relax, not far from key places such as Helston, Porthleven, st Michael’s mount and 25 mins drive from st Ives. Lovely local pub a mile away that serves great food. Great spaces and in a lovely peaceful area, we slept so well. Marion was really helpful and welcoming.

The cottage was even better than we expected. Sue would respond to messages within minutes and was there to greet us. Sue is super helpful and friendly. The cottage was bigger than we expected. It really felt home from home. Sue was great with our boy and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is a short stroll into the town centre with lots to do and places to eat. Porthleven is a great place.

lovely place in peaceful surroundings. This is now the third time I have stayed in one of Emmas properties at this site, all have been fantastic. Great host, great location.

My family of four recently stayed at Pamela’s place in Portreath and we had a blissful week in paradise! Everything about the week was great - Pamela and her family are so lovely and friendly and it truly felt like a home away from home. I booked this place especially for the amenities of the pool and hot tub and my kids (11 and 8) loved it! It was so nice to have an uncrowded swimming pool to relax at! The apartment was clean and cozy and was a great base for our week of adventures. It was nice to be able to walk 5 minutes for a morning pastry and coffee from the local bakery. It is clear from its immaculate and beautiful nature that Bassett Acre is a source of pride for Pamela and her family and they were perhaps the most gracious and friendly hosts of any place my family has stayed. We are already planning another stay next summer!

We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. A beautiful property in a very quiet and relaxing setting. Hosts provided all of the information we needed. We will certainly return for another visit in future!

This was a lovely place to stay. We were 2 couples and a dog and we all had a relaxing time at the house which has everything you need to cook and relax together. It’s a very peaceful place, I am a very light sleeper and I slept so well here! The beds were extremely comfy and cosy. The sauna and jacuzzi were perfect both times we used it we had it to ourselves which felt very special. Highly recommend it.

Marcus's place was great for our visit to Cornwall. The apartment was very clean and in a nice building. Within walking distance to lots of restaurants and two beaches. When we got lost during check in Marcus was available over phone and he called us again later to make sure we got in okay. Very friendly!

We had a great week in Fowey. The apartment is a short walk from Fowey and easy to find with parking. The Apartment was great - well equipped kitchen and lots of space for adults and kids. I would definitely visit again!

This was our family’s second stay at what is our favourite spot at Retallack. The lodge, being right on the water, feels peaceful and secluded, but is only a few minutes’ walk to the pool, restaurant and other amenities. Mel is a great host, always replying quickly, and the lodge has everything we needed for our stay. We’d definitely come back again.

Myself, my partner Claire and our little Pooch had a fantastic stay. The premises was in walking distance to the Fistral Beach. The restaurant recommended at Sea Spray was well received, we enjoyed our Brunch before checking in. Our hosts were great, facilitated an earlier check in than advertised. Would highly recommend staying here, we only wished we had more time.
