Located in the centre of the pretty market town of Haddington, just 25 minutes drive from Edinburgh and 10-15 minutes from many stunning beaches, countryside walks and golf courses. There are great public transport links right outside and several restaurants, pubs and coffee shops within an easy stroll, as well as further afield in the surrounding area. Please note we have a 3 night minimum booking except Xmas and New Year, which are 4 nights.

Relax in our beautiful cottage with fantastic views, log burning stove, super king size bed and large walk in shower. Whether you want to be active or just relax, Howden Cottage is a great base to enjoy all the delights of East Lothian. If you want a trip to Edinburgh it's about a 45 minute drive or you can drive to the local station - about 8 minutes away and take the train which is 25 minutes. Parking at the station is free.

Abbeymill Farm Cottage

Beautiful, quaint 16th century cottage, lovingly restored as a dedicated holiday cottage. Located in the heart of an old farm guests can enjoy peace and quiet, beautiful views and owners on site. The cottage has benefited from a complete refurb in 2020 and an enclosed private garden. We sit directly on the river bank and walkway to Haddington and East Linton.
