Beach house vacation rentals in Mission Beach, San Diego

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb right on Mission Beach! The location couldn’t be better, just steps from the sand and perfect for a relaxing, chill vibe. The house was super clean, beautifully decorated, and very kid-friendly, which made it perfect for our family. The host, Evan was incredibly accommodating, even with some last-minute changes we had. He checked in to see if we needed anything and was always responsive and kind throughout our stay. We really appreciated the great communication and hospitality. Overall, we absolutely loved the experience and would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed are time at the beach house. It was a great location and very close to every where we wanted to go. It is absolutely a beautiful place to stay with family.

Space was as described and a good value for the area. Especially helpful were all the baby items and beach supplies.

Lori's place was a great spot near Mission Beach. She and her team were very responsive and friendly. They allowed us to check in a few minutes early to accomodate our toddler. They had a pack n' play, as well as plenty of kids books available. The rooftop was great, and the space was clean and as advertised. The stairs were a bit tricky with a two year old (there were a lot of them) but we knew that going into it. Overall, a family friendly spot with great proximity to the beach and local restaurants and coffee! They also had boogie boards and chairs for the beach, which was a nice bonus. I would recommend!

Scott was so responsive and accommodating as we got into town a little before our check in time. We were able to store our luggage in the garage so we could go enjoy the boardwalk and have some lunch before we checked in. The spot was beautiful and so close to everything. Definitely will stay again!

Meron’s place was absolutely incredible! We’ve been coming to mission beach for 11 years and this was definitely one of, if not the best place we’ve ever stayed at. The location is perfect, the street is quiet, and the house is adorable. It is immaculately clean and has every amenity you could need. The attention to detail makes the house cozy and a comfortable landing place for a long stay. I could not recommend this cottage enough - perfect for our family! We will be back and we can’t wait!

Me and my family stayed over the weekend and we loved Sara’s home beautiful! The pool is a plus one. It was cold when we went, but we still manage to get in , the house was clean. It had everything we can’t wait to come back when it’s more hot!

The unit was well equipped having everything we needed. Owner was helpful and proactive. We didn't have any issues. The community deck over the ocean was fantastic. The beach here is wide enough to never have to worry about low tide or high tide. The unit provides a private stairway to the beach, while it is also a distance to get to for the public, resulting in an amazing beach with no crowds. We would definitely stay here again.

This is one of our favorite townhouse among all the Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! 1. It’s very quiet and located in a gated community, which feels safe. 2. It’s close to the ocean. You can’t see the sea directly, but it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the beach. 3. The house is super comfortable and beautiful! The host provided almost everything we needed, which made our stay very convenient—we really appreciated that. 4. The community is lovely, with swimming pools and a large ocean-facing lounge. 5. The location is convenient. Although it’s in North San Diego, it’s only 6 minutes to Del Mar beach park and 30 minutes to the south. The only inconvenience: the host requires guests to wash all towels or pay a $100 fine. This meant we had to start doing laundry the day before check-out. Since check-out is at 10 AM and we also needed to clean the kitchen, we were rushing to wash and dry towels in the morning. This was not convenient. Everything else is very good!

We stayed at Pete's place because it has a gorgeous pool (the pool slide was a huge hit), is close to Del Mar racetrack, and is close to the beach/ocean (you can see the ocean from the front yard). We took our two Bichons and felt safe and secure letting them out. We have family in San Diego and had a small family cook out on Sunday. The grill was awesome, and there are lots of fun things to do on the property, front and back yards. We didn't take advantage of the jacuzzi, but it was already heated up. Since the house doesn't have air conditioning, there were fans in the family room and bedroom. Large kitchen, so you can cook and bake if you don't want to eat out all the time. The house is single story, but outside there are lots of levels where you have to go up and down some single steps,so small children would need help and elderly or disabled folks may need help, too. Pete gave great directions about how to access the main entrance, and the self check-in security code.

This place was better than we were expecting. Perfect spot over the beach. Watching sunsets, sealions, dolphins and birds right from the patio. The patios are fairly private concidering your beside each other. This unit is nice because you can see all the way up the beach. We usually stay away from condos due to noise from other people but this condo was quiet, even though we had people above and beside we barely heard anyone due to the concrete floors. Nice pool, and hot tub. We didn't really use the tennis or basketball courts. Everything inside and outside was clean and well kept. Best thing was the view, 2nd best thing was this unit is actually a well stocked air bnb. There was plenty of dishes, kitchen ware, uten toiletries, soap etc Easy 4min walk to beach and 6min walk to restaurants, coffee shops etc. And the beach and neighborhood seem fairly classy and family friendly. Wyatt was very fast to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay again

We had a great stay at Blue Door Cottage. It was a nice quiet neighborhood, walking distance to La Jolla restaurants and the Caves. Coffee shops nearby and restaurants allowed us to move without a car. The host was very understanding of our fly-in times and accommodated and early check-in and allowed us to leave our bags. She was quick to respond. Thanks for a great stay!

great and friendly host. responded promptly. unit is cleaned and organized. location is few minutes walking distance from the beach ( almost like a private beach ) since it was located in the neighborhood. supermarket is on the Main Street and only a minute walk. Overall, would definitely book again in the future. couldn't ask for more .

Great experience all around! I plan to book again. The place is so clean and so close to the Bay and the beach. Parking is easy enough and the restaurants near by are fantastic. The bed is soft as can be, and the vibe is so cool. Thanks so much!

Nice quiet neighborhood. House was clean and fit our family of 7 perfectly. Patio area was great, we used it everyday. No issues whatsoever. Heather was a great host and made the process very easy. Highly recommend.

Loved the oceanfront location!

We had a wonderful "staycation" at Rosemont by the Sea. The home had everything and more: from bikes, beach chairs and boogie boards to customized blankets, coffee station and a record player with plenty of old school LP's. The owner thought of everything! The House Book came with very detailed instructions and wonderful suggestions of things to do nearby. The home is located a few blocks from Wind and Sea beach in a very quiet residential neighborhood. We loved the quick walk to catch the sunset and returned the next day to relax and watch the surfers. It's less than a 5 minute drive to downtown La Jolla where there are plenty of great shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed riding their bikes to the local Farmer's Market on Sunday morning. The house is in a perfect location to relax by the beach or take advantage of everything that La Jolla has to offer. I would recommend Rosemont by the Sea to my friends and hope to return again soon. We had a great time in San Diego at Heathers place! We actually wish we would have stayed an extra day! We went to mission beach, mission bay, Coronado island, we checked out the San Diego Temple (closed for improvements but still breath taking) Her house fit our family of 6 perfectly with the 3 rooms. It was clean, the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfy. There were fans and sound machines which helped us all sleep better. But the bikes were me and my husband’s favorite!! We had so much fun riding the bikes around we wish we would have done it more! The bikes were definitely adult sized though so we took turns going. We just came for a relaxing get away and it fit the spot. Heather was super attentive and responsive. We loved the home, the host, and the area! We highly recommend it and we would stay here again!! We hope to come back again soon!
