Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Mission Beach, San Diego

This San Diego home is a fabulous place for a large family or a group of friends. It was a perfect homebase for our son’s college graduation. Right near the beach as well as Mission Bay, it’s surrounded by nature and so easy to be outdoors. The home itself is spacious and light. It accommodated our large group very comfortably. The kitchen is terrific and a great place to prepare a big meal with family. Cindy was a delight to work with and supportive and flexible before and during our stay. We highly recommend the home.

My family really enjoyed staying here. The place is larger inside than you would expect - six adults fit very comfortably. Access to the beach is easy, and the large table on the first floor was perfect for playing games. The TV on the second floor was great for watching movies together. The primary bedroom and bathroom are nicely sized, and all the beds are comfortable. The nearby Pacific Beach location gave us access to excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance. I would love to stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at this beach house! The place was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located just steps away from both the beach and the bay. We also loved how close it was to great local spots, including an amazing coffee shop, a delicious bakery, and a place with the best açaí bowls. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. Highly recommend!

Perfect location with perfect view

Lori's place was a great spot near Mission Beach. She and her team were very responsive and friendly. They allowed us to check in a few minutes early to accomodate our toddler. They had a pack n' play, as well as plenty of kids books available. The rooftop was great, and the space was clean and as advertised. The stairs were a bit tricky with a two year old (there were a lot of them) but we knew that going into it. Overall, a family friendly spot with great proximity to the beach and local restaurants and coffee! They also had boogie boards and chairs for the beach, which was a nice bonus. I would recommend!

Adam was a wonderful host, and the house was absolutely beautiful. Before our arrival, he mentioned that the property could be a bit tricky to find, but thanks to his detailed directions, we had no trouble at all. The home was clean, well-maintained, and in a fantastic location. I highly recommend staying here—I’d definitely love to return in the future.

Had such a lovely weekend here! The house was incredibly spacious and clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The cherry on top was us being a stone throw away from the beach. We made some great memories walking it and grilling on the patio. Carol was super communicative, and all the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend everyone else to!

The house was in a fantastic location and fully equipped for a great beach vacation! Plenty of room for our family of 4. The beds are very comfortable. Walkable to amenities and the beach. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in San Diego!

Location is the best about 150 yds from ocean and 100 yds to small supermarket and eating places. Cy is the most diligent host we have encountered. Lives on site and constantly making small, useful improvements

Comfortable and no major problems.

We spent 13 nights at Angela’s while visiting our daughter in PB. The apartment is very comfortable with a cute beach theme. Bed was comfortable and shower great. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Angela had excellent communication and rules and apartment use guidelines were very clear. The location was fantastic for walking to the ocean, great coffee, bakery and restaurants nearby. I highly recommend Angela’s apartment and hope to stay again!

This wonderful find was amazing!! Beautiful decor, not cluttered, very clean and everything had a place and easy to find. They made sure that if you forgot something, they had it there for you! Richard literally thought of everything, we were amazed!! Very cozy outside with a lovely fireplace to sit around and beds to sit in the sun 😎 If you stumble across this place, you will not be disappointed ! We loved our stay at Richard's place. He was very friendly and reached out to make sure our stay was going well throughout our trip. The location is perfect! It's close to everything, we walked all over. Lots of really good places to eat, shopping and the beach was super close! Plus they supplied beach towels, chairs and other fun stuff to use. The house itself, was perfect for two people, it is small, but roomy. The bed was comfortable, everything was super clean and we really appreciated the snacks and water awaiting for us, since we had arrived super late in the evening. I would highly recommend this home and will definitely be back!

Amazing place, it’s a great place for a couple. Restaurants are at a walking distance. Lauren was really helpful throughout the whole stay with any questions we had. Will definitely book again when we visit in the future.

The location is perfect for sightseeing in San Diego, many of the towns are within walking distance or a few minutes by car. Vivian is a very good host, she was always attentive and responded quickly. The only thing we had was that we hardly had any hot water.

Such a beautiful place! if you like peaceful, quiet, cozy, but also close to a small town with cute shops.... Amazing place! we saw sooo many turkeys.

This place is so cool. It felt like very remote but still accessible. We loved the decor and grounds. The place is stocked with everything you need. The host was very responsive. We had some trouble with the pool and not clearly understanding the directions or limitations with regard to heating but we were able to work with the host to get things figured out. Overall great stay, especially for large groups and kids. We would return and highly recommend.

This is one of those true gems you’re absolutely stoked to stumble upon. The minute we drove down the country lane and saw the house, my wife and I knew we had found a truly magical getaway. We both agree it’s one of the top three homes/properties we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing! Every square inch of the property is amazing. The house is beautiful. The kitchen is stocked and perfect for those who enjoy cooking. We cooked three of the four nights because we just loved the atmosphere and views so much! Our four year old absolutely loved exploring the trails, pond and backyard. The hot tub was in perfect condition. Rare! The awesome fire-pit on the balcony was perfect for making smores and staying warm while listening to the frogs sing while stargazing. We played games, watched movies and just had a perfect long weekend. The worst part was having to say goodbye! It was so peaceful, it’s going to be hard to beat such a good nights rest. Another week would have been nice!

Amazing place to stay with our family. So much to do on the ranch that we didn’t even have to leave to find something to do. It felt like a home away from home and being surrounded by animals was an animal lovers dream. My teenage nephews who are always on their phones even loved it here. Nick the dog was the sweetest and walked us and our guests to the front door and showed us around the ranch. Chancelor was an amazing host and provided us with so many recommendations and offered a tour of the ranch. We definitely have to come back to take him up on his offer so we can learn more. My family and I are thinking of making this an annual trip!

An unforgettable stay — highly recommend! We had such a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and felt cozy yet spacious. Every detail—from the comfortable bedding and well-stocked kitchen to the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, coffee, and made us feel completely at home. The location was perfect—peaceful and private, breathtaking mountain view from the pool. We especially how quiet the neighborhood was. Our host Posh was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, making check-in and communication smooth and stress-free. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ comfort and experience. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it whole.

This place is amazing. I slept so well since the location is quiet and secluded. Colleen is quick to respond and super kind. The design of the cabin itself is pretty as well. I would 100% stay here again.

I absolutely fell in love with the historical charm of this cabin! It’s such a delightful spot, filled with an amazing atmosphere that makes it a perfect getaway. One minor hiccup during our trip from Arizona back to San Diego was the lack of cell signal, which made checking in a bit challenging. However, that small inconvenience couldn’t dampen our spirits! The vintage bathtub added such a lovely touch to our stay, and I appreciated the old-fashioned heating system that kept us cozy when the night air turned chilly. The porch was a gem as well! Nestled in nature and featuring comfy seating, it was the ideal spot to unwind. While the area doesn’t allow for outdoor lights, having a flashlight handy is a great idea if you’re arriving after sunset. The location is perfect for a leisurely stroll, and we enjoyed the fascinating history shared. Overall, we are truly grateful for the opportunity to experience this. Another bonus is that Julian is just down the street!
