Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Massachusetts

This place was exactly what I needed for my trip. Dianne was very responsive, met me at check in, and showed me around. The space is so much larger than it looks in the posting. It feels like a small apartment rather than a spare room. The area is quiet, and a short drive to stores and restaurants. I walked down to the beach, and it was also very peaceful. Please note that the walk to the beach is down a dirt road that cuts through some woods. I would recommend walking shoes and not flip flops. Overall, I loved my stay and highly recommend Dianne's place!

Mark and Bill's place was very nice and clean. The private beach was wonderful and quiet. Bed was a little stiff but that's the only not great thing about the place. Quick responses even though I booked completely last minute. Hope to stay here again but with the family!

Amazing stay!! We needed a place at the last minute and Carolyn’s house was so worth it. I’m so grateful she accommodated us so last minute. Beautiful bedroom and amazing barroom, quiet neighborhood but not in the boonies! 10/10 recommend!

We stayed at Wiz's place for 3 nights and felt right at home! Our stay was super pleasant, there are a lot of things to do in the area and we could have stayed a lot longer. The breakfast was such a nice little touch and the homemade goodies were very much appreciated! Thanks again for everything!!

We very much enjoyed staying at Carol's home. It was very cozy and clean, and she greeted us and even introduced her dogs and cat. It had everything we could ever need and it's in a prime location, we would highly recommend!

We were in town for hockey but when we were at Lisa’s home we were able to relax and sleep well. Thank you for a comfortable and adorable place to stay!

Spacious and clean - perfect size for our family of 6! Three big bathrooms and three large bedrooms. The space is on the second floor so we did have to carry luggage up the steps. The kitchen was minimally stocked but we were able to have instacart deliver groceries for us. Not sure if the tenants above were other guests or permanent residents but they did get a little loud in the evening. The home was a perfect distance from the Central T Station and ease of getting to and from Boston was perfect ! Neighborhood was very safe even walking late at night from the T. I would recommend screens in the upstairs windows as having a breeze at night was lovely. Also would recommend stocking wash cloths in the bathroom. All in all it was a great stay and only a few little tweaks of TLC can go a long way !

Sharon was extremely friendly! She went out of her way to find breakfast pastries for my food allergies! Super sweet! Wonderful space, private room and bathroom. We felt very at home and loved the neighborhood. Lovely drive to nearby areas like Newburyport and Salem. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy home away from home.

Yet another wonderful 5-star stay at Jane & Karl's lovely home in Deerfield. Delicious homemade breakfasts, spacious and clean rooms, and always a warm welcome from Jane & Karl. Have stayed over 10 times across 3 years, and every time has been great - and there's always an improvement each time!

Connie’s place was a dream. I loved everything about it: the space, the comfort, the quiet, the location. And Connie herself is wonderful. I could t have imagined a better place to stay for my first time in Cambridge.

Melissa was helpful and proactive. The rocking boat helped put me to sleep!

A+. This place is why I come to Airbnb: unique, immersive, and full of character. I stayed in the Witches Dorm, and it felt like part of the adventure, not just a place to sleep. The decor was rich and authentic, and the common room was so cozy I spent hours writing and reading there. The 2 twin beds were comfy (even for a 6'1" guest.) Hope, the host, is fascinating and has some amazing stories, but also totally respects your space. She keeps the common area well-stocked with snacks, coffee, and drinks, which made mornings and late nights easy. Uber was always available and affordable (~$6–10), making it easy to get around if you don’t feel like walking the scenic 25–30 mins to downtown. The walk downtown can be super varied tho—walking along the coastline one day, thru a park the next, and a myriad of ways down tiny New England streets w cute houses all about the same travel time. My first time in Salem. Felt safe at all hours. Would absolutely stay at this property again. A+

Felt like we were nestled in the range of Mount Toby. The property and studio were super quiet, super non scented and clean with plentiful views to awe at. We needed ths peaceful trip while watching our son graduate. We are huge fans of Pioneer Valley. We know this area well so we took advantage of all great foodie places and all nature locations we could pack in. We would love to visit your place again! A slice of heaven for us

I was just on a brief Cape getaway but this place was comfortable and homey and close to everything I wanted to see. Hosts are very knowledgeable about the area. Also, bonus: home of an adorable friendly dog!

Very nice place to stay in a beautiful city. Candace is a 4th generation Bostonian and retired educator so she can really tell what to do and see in the area and how to get around. Breakfast was always great with fresh yogurt, fruit, croissants, juice and coffee. Room was cozy with a queen size bed now and a clean private bedroom. Highly recommended for your visit to the Boston area!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, thanks to such a considerate and thoughtful host. It truly felt like we were visiting an old friend’s home—the crib and toys thoughtfully set up for our toddler made us feel instantly at ease, and the fresh fruit and pastries waiting for us at check-in were a lovely touch. Örs was warm, welcoming, and always available if we needed anything. The location itself is stunning and couldn’t have been more perfect. We left feeling relaxed and grateful—highly recommend!

Lovely home, great location and friendly and helpful host. Felt more like a "hosted B&B or inn" rather than the more common experience I've had with Air B&B of the host being available but not a visible presence. If you are looking for a private, nonengaging experience, this might not be for you. However, if you enjoy meeting your host, we found Bob to be warm and cheery and he made us a lovely breakfast with excellent coffee. Rosy was away so we did not meet her, however, her decorating talents were much on display from the tableware to the linens and accoutrements, all of which made us feel like we were special guests.

Very accommodating and friendly hosts, lovely yard with outdoor seating, clean, comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood, new washer/dryer, beautiful home, close to bus stop. Only negatives - very small bathroom that was not en suite and minimal breakfast options. We bought our own breakfast food and used the refrigerator. We eat very healthy food.

The Lacey Rose is an absolutely stunning Victorian home built in the early 1800’s. Every single detail of the home from the paintings and artwork on the stained glass windows, to the ornate ceilings and walls, to the beautifully curated outside space complete with a pool and several relaxing areas with chairs and tables to lounge. Denise was friendly and helpful, and made our breakfast experience absolutely flawless!!! I can’t recommend this place enough, please if you are in the are you must check it out! This is the epitome of what one expects when booking a B&B at such a fabulous location. Thank you again Denise, I’m sure I’ll be back!!

Jodi was nothing but amazing! She is extremely friendly. We stayed for one night and she made us feel completely at home. She brought us water and even had to go cups for coffee in the morning. The house is beautiful, super clean and so gorgeous!
