Barn vacation rentals in Massachusetts

This was absolutely perfect for our needs. The location was central to Salem, Gloucester, and not too far from Boston. Very close to wonderful local restaurants and Marla was very attentive to our requests.

A beautiful location. Amazing workout room . Everything you could ask for and more. Anthony and Rachael are great hosts. I was greeted upon arrival and felt right at home. I plan on returning in the future. Thanks again for the hospitality

We LOVE Michael's Bungalow! This was our second year in a row to stay at the Bungalow and we are already looking forward to next summer here! Such a wonderful place on a magical island! The kitchen is well stocked and met all of our cooking needs, outdoor area is relaxing, peaceful, and the outdoor shower is convenient. Very close to the beach and Edgartown. Michael responds quickly, friendly and with helpful information. The electronic guide book is very helpful! Definitely recommend.

Lisa's place is so lovely. It is so peaceful and has a great view. Check in was super easy and everything was as expected. Lisa is a great communicator and we were easily able to get questions answered. When we had an issue (not related to our stay) Lisa was so helpful and kind. Highly recommend.

A great location to get around Martha's Vineyard. A short walk from Oak Bluffs and taxis are plentiful plus a free bus service. Corrina's place is lovely, spacious and relaxing with a great coffee machine. Didn't realise couch folded into a bed (my bad) and shared the bed with my son. Would definitely use it as a base of I was in Martha's Vineyard again.

Jessica was an amazing host! I’ve been talking with Jessica for about nine months in preparation of coming to stay here for my stepdaughter‘s wedding. She was so helpful so flexible she’s very informative. She loves living here, which makes it so much better to enjoy because she has so much knowledge about the island . The Property was beautiful andamazing! She’s an amazing host extremely hospitable and makes you feel so welcome. We will be coming back!

Couldn’t recommend Jayne’s place more. It was so cozy and secluded, with two beautiful horses constantly grazing right outside our windows/screened in porch. The farm was beautifully kept, with flowers everywhere, a fire pit, and chickens. The inside was big, bright, sleek, and clean. It was just me and my husband but there was plenty of room for two more guests. The kitchen had everything you need and we used the screened in porch every chance we could. It’s a quick walk to the water where all the restaurants are. We enjoyed walking to Googan’s in the morning for coffee and a breakfast burrito. We spent a day at Crane beach nearby, an absolutely gorgeous spot. We also drive nearby to Gloucester and our favorite, Rockport. Jayne was quick to answer if I had any questions and made some great local recs for our stay. This was such a peaceful getaway, you get country coziness, salty marshlands, and the oceans/beach right near by. Definitely book!

We stayed at South Quarter House for a week with our dogs while competing in a national agility event in the area. It was a great and quiet place to stay and rejuvenate before each day’s events.

Just had a great stay in Great Barrington. Enjoyed the house and all of its amenities. Location was great, close to great restaurants, hiking and skiing. Would recommend this property and our host!!

I stayed with friends for the September Brimfield Antiques Faire and had an incredible time. If you’re coming for the show, this place is a great option—the drive to Brimfield is about 30 minutes, but very easy and straightforward, and the Threadbare clothing and textiles show is only a few minutes’ drive down the main road. Monica was a great host and responded to our messages very quickly, bringing us things we requested and giving helpful instructions as needed. She keeps the place stocked with books, cassettes, games, etc. You can tell she put thought and care into making a great space for entertaining. The barn was bigger and nicer than expected based on the great price, and though the “bedrooms” were all connected, we each felt we had our own space and were able to decompress and sleep easily. The kitchen was stocked with most of what we needed to make our meals at home, and we had more than enough towels and bedding for all of us. I would definitely stay here again!

A beautiful place, spectacular views and a peaceful location. Not far from Great Barrington with views of the mountains from many rooms. The renovated barn (feels newly built) is near skiing, hiking, Great Barrington shopping and wonderful restaurants. —something for everyone. The kitchen seems to have been built for a professional chef. It is large, in pristine condition, and has everything you need to prepare meals. Very impressive! Also, there is a wonderful large bathtub for guests to enjoy the calm of the Berkshires, soak after skiing or relax after a long drive. All the bedrooms are of good size with plenty of room to move about. No bedroom is small which is terrific for an adult group. Definitely, a positive and differentiating feature. The living area space is open and is inviting. Stella was absolutely lovely and a most gracious host. All communication was very easy. A fabulous stay; we will definitely return! I could not recommend more highly.

Great place to stay. The house was comfortable and creatively furnished, and the view out the back was beautiful. We were participating in a very busy and stressful canine event nearby and it was so nice to escape to such a quiet place each day. We had everything we needed and felt quite at home. Mike was a very helpful and responsive host.

This was my second time staying at Maureen’s beautiful lakeside home and it surely won’t be my last. It’s the coziest, peaceful and inspiring place. Looking forward to future visits!

Roberta's place was lovely, spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect to leave your car and walk to Lenox shops and restaurants. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities like fresh croissants, beverages in the fridge and coffee pods. Roberta is a great host and we would happily stay here again!

What a beautiful place to stay! Jaryn made it easy to check in, gave clear instructions, and offered any help we needed. As other reviewers noted, if you know you have limited access to cooking, you'll be fine. We maximized the fridge and microwave and used the coffeemaker each morning. The barn conversion is incredible - my husband is an architect and was very impressed. Our favorite was the screened-in porch, and we spent lots of time sipping coffee, writing, and enjoying meals out there (I brought my blanket!). Monterey is an incredible place to stay. Beautiful everywhere you go, but close to so much.

Fantastisch!! Charming, comfortable, quite and close in. Love this old house with beautiful woodwork, kousa dogwoods in full bloom in the yard. Great stocked kitchen, although we ate out at the many yummy cafes and restaurants. Mooncloud was a favorite! Comfy, spacious living room. Nice large dining table. Trice was a wonderful host, quick to respond and let us enjoy our space! I am so glad I took a chance on airbnb again - this was one of my favorite stays on airbnb and my favorite in Great Barrington! Would definitely book again!

We had an amazing week at Matt's Carriage House in Brewster, and only wish we could have stayed longer! The home is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, with easy access to everything the Cape has to offer. We loved the close access to (and views of) Long Pond, and enjoyed using the kayaks, SUPs and the canoe that were provided. The house itself was great - a perfect fit for our family of 4. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a gas grill on the patio that we used regularly. The WiFi worked great, and the living room was comfortable - great to curl up with a book or magazine after a long day at the beach or biking on the rail trail. The bedrooms were comfortable, cool and we all slept great. Last but not least, Matt and his wife were amazing, friendly hosts. They provided us with a list of local recommendations, and were always quick to respond to any questions. Definitely one of our best experiences on AirBnB. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at Ranne and Ray's amazing historic home. It is small and cozy, clean, well-supplied, and the hosts are gracious and generous in every way---right down to lending me a yoga mat! The location is ideal for everything one could want to do in the Berkshires.

Had a great weekend here! The location is perfect, we had such a great time at the pool that we never left. The house was exactly how it is in pictures, and it’s the most fully stocked airbnb I’ve stayed in. It has everything you need! The beds were really comfortable too, that’s rare. The backyard was perfect for grilling and hanging out with family.

The Barn is very cozy and has a well appointed kitchen - we enjoyed cooking most of our meals here and enjoying the views out the large windows facing the field! Ilana was super accommodating and communicative before & during our stay. The location is excellent, within minutes of most major Berkshires attractions.

What can my wife and I say about Jo Leal and John and their sweet carriage house. Every detail in the house showed such care, such attention, and such beauty. Nothing could have prepared us for the experience of spending time in this charming house , and more notably, nothing could have prepared us for the wonderful experience we shared with Jo Leal and John. We so look forward to our next visit and the continuation of this experience.
