Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Lure

This is our third year coming to Karen’s home and it’s simply amazing. The views and location are stunning. We will definitely be back for year 4 next year!

What a wonderful stay! The yard is perfect for relaxing and for our pups. This stay has everything you could need. It is only a short drive to Asheville, and there is an Ingles market super close. Beth was very friendly and a great host. We would absolutely come back and stay here again :)

This cabin was the perfect base camp for a week of biking, hiking, and trail running. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals (but lots of options within a 20 minute drive when we didn't feel like cooking!). We enjoyed being able to bring our dog along with us, and he loved getting to sniff around in the woods by the house. We hope to come back!

Grace is an absolutely amazing Airbnb host with an incredible level of hospitality! Without a doubt, the property was the cleanest I've ever stayed at. Every amenity was exactly as described, if not better, and the entire property was not just clean, but truly pristine and thoughtfully set up. Grace was also incredibly responsive to messages and very helpful, offering lots of fantastic recommendations for the area. I highly recommend staying at her property—she truly goes above and beyond, you won't regret it.

Great spot and Brett was a wonderful host. Everything was exactly as I expected and I got to enjoy a stress-free and problem-free time away from home. Will definitely stay here again.

House was extremely clean and very secluded (which we enjoyed). It is a little bit off the highway, but a great property for two families. Beds were comfy and plenty of space to relax after a long hike!

This was a beautiful and fun location. We had a great time — both adults and kids enjoyed.

We absolutely loved staying at this cabin near the river and close to town. It's about a 30 minute drive from Waynesville which is close enough for convenience but far enough away for peace and quiet. The area surrounding the cabin is stunning and private. Charles is an excellent host and the entire experience was well organized. We have absolutely nothing bad to say nor any recommendations for improvement. We would definitely stay there again 10/10

Genuinely not enough words to express how much we loved our short stay! Somehow the pictures don't do the property justice; the surrounding mountains and trees and farms are serene and peaceful and exactly what we needed. Elizabeth and Daron were both very friendly and responsive to any questions/concerns we had. If you aren't afraid to get a little dirty, definitely ask to be taken around to meet the animals! They're adorable and friendly and had us laughing the entire stay. Elizabeth even let our puppy play with her farm dogs (aka chase them around in circles) which may have been our favorite part of the trip. We truly had such a a lovely time, we're already planning our next stay in the fall! Can't wait to go back, thanks so much for everything!

What a wonderful stay in a wonderful cabin! This cabin is awesome - great bed, great shower, great location, great hosts. The fireplace is awesome. It can be switched on for just the overall effect but you have the option of turning up the heat for warmth. I scheduled my stay for some much needed peace and quiet during a difficult time in my life. I arrived with the sniffles but it progressed into much more. I kept asking for extensions if time and Samuel & Angie were awesome. Thanks again to them. I honestly can’t say enough great things about this cabin and my stay.

I have to admit that I am not the best at writing reviews after staying at airbnbs, but this one was especially great for our family. We were traveling with our baby and 2 dogs, and we found the space very peaceful and well suited for us. I loved their fence for the dogs and the way the bedroom and living area is situated. Would highly recommend and will be coming back!

My experience was nothing less that fantastic! This cute little camper filled all of my needs and expectations and Rebecca was a wonderful host with just the perfect amount of attention so as to make sure my stay was great. I actually slept longer and more restful than I do at home! It's good to know about Sacred Willow as I'll be returning to the Asheville area often in the near future.

It’s such a calm place. I enjoyed sitting on the couch each morning, drinking coffee and watching the horses across the way. The coffee the hosts provided was delicious. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts were welcoming, their old dog was very sweet, and the few glimpses and sounds of an active and loving family made me nostalgic for old times, when my children were young.

We loved staying in this little cabin! It was easy to get to and felt very private and cozy. The views were nice, but being able to see the stars at night was great. The little backyard area was perfect for our little pooch to sniff around. We didn't take advantage of being able to walk around the farm, but if we had stayed longer we would have. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure/temperature of the shower were great! I will say it wasn't quite possible to walk down to the river, but it was to no fault of the host. They were doing construction and cleanup on that section of the river when we were there. We expected there to be flood cleanup, so we didn't mind at all. Lots to do, see, and eat in Asheville which is only a quick drive away. Overall we loved our little weekend away and would recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful night!

It was immediately apparent that Robert's place was one of the good ones! It was a charming historic bungalow furnished and outfitted with care and thoughtfulness. Handsome antique furniture served us well, classic lamps and artwork lent elegance, comfortable furniture arranged to allow for easy gatherings. The kitchen lacked for nothing and the large antique wood plank table accomdated our extended family. Bedrooms featured comfortable beds and crisp linens as well as blinds on windows that opened and provided delightful cross breezes. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and showers had seemingly endless hot water. We appreciated the handy laundry room. A back deck and patio provided safe haven for our bicycles as well as a barbecue grill! Mostly we enjoyed the comfortable screened porch . We spent every evening here enjoying the sounds of happy children at the neighborhood swimming pool as well as a spring downpour. We hope to return someday for the next family reunion.

Nice and quiet location with ample room for 4 people. Enjoyed the many hiking trails on the property and Brevard is a quick 15 minute drive. Would stay there again.

The view is amazingly stunning and breathtaking. It is located in a quiet and peaceful area. The staff were so serviceable and helpful.

Exceeded our expectations! Jody and Shaun were so nice and very accomodating with their beautiful cabin. Every thing you would want they had in the cabin as in dishes, cookware, coffee, etc... Jody's place was so tastefully decorated and the bed was absolutely plush and the shower was very nice, sizeable and with great water pressure. The pool and hot tub were so much fun and although we didn't use the firepit it was the best set up I have seen. Truly, this was about the best Airbnb we have stayed at! Jody and Shaun are so down to earth and very communicative. I highly 10 out 10 recommend! We can't wait to come back!

I cannot recommend this property enough! From the moment I stepped inside, I was blown away by how clean and spacious the home was. It was impeccably maintained, with every detail thoughtfully cared for. The layout was perfect for relaxing or entertaining, and it felt like a true home away from home. The cleanliness stood out the most—everything was spotless and fresh, which made the stay so much more enjoyable. The hosts clearly take pride in maintaining their property to the highest standard. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-maintained, and spacious place to stay, look no further. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

This was our favorite Air B & B rental. The farm is more beautiful than we expected. The house was inviting and we felt right at home. We loved the pool , hot tub and the wonderful back porch over looking the gorgeous scenery. Doug is amazing.He is quick to respond and very helpful before and during our trip. We cant wait to go back and visit!

Josh was very flexible and responsive for a last minute stay. The backyard is beautiful and we felt right at home. Josh also gave lots of great recommendations. We really enjoyed our stay in Asheville!
