“We had a great time staying at Melissa’s cabin! It’s a gorgeous place on the side of a mountain and very secluded. A perfect spot to get away for a while. I’m so glad we chose to stay here and not in Asheville itself. We wanted to enjoy a little nature and fresh air on our long weekend and this was the perfect spot to accomplish that. Even being away from town, it’s still an easy 20 minute drive into Asheville, which we did each night to try some breweries and get dinner. The cabin is located on the side of a mountain, up a gravel road a little over a mile. While there other houses along the drive, you are very secluded and it’s very quite. We felt like we were up there by ourselves. The cabin itself is very nice and very clean. It has all the touches you could need: Good internet, a kitchen to cook in, good shower, a tv (if you need it), and a nice back deck with hammock. We liked enjoying a cold beer in the hammock while listening to the cicadas in the evening. Overall, this is a great stay and I highly recommend!”
This rustic, modern cabin sits on 22 acres of wooded creekside property in the beautiful Shope Creek area of east Asheville. Newly renovated with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a new hot tub, large deck and a creekside fire pit. A perfect getaway!
“We could not be happier with our stay! The cabin was in perfect condition and everything was clean and spotless! It’s cozy and well decorated. The cabin provides towels and amenities such as paper towels, bath soap, dish soap, detergent, as well as extra pillows and blankets. It’s in a beautiful location, close to hiking trails, supermarkets, and restaurants, but also far away enough to feel like you’re secluded. The hot tub fits 4 comfortably and was nice and hot waiting for us! Shari and Spencer were wonderful hosts! Very responsive and accommodating. The fresh flowers and handwritten note made us feel very welcome and it was a nice personal touch! Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Asheville!”
Built in 2010, Waterfall Cottage provides a romantic, comfortable, rustic retreat space in the woods perched just above a magical flowing mountain stream. Drive only 15 minutes into Asheville, 7 to 10 minutes from hiking, restaurants, and grocery shopping.
“Great place. Had no trouble checking in. The host Liz and her husband are wonderful hosts. Liz shared directions to the place beforehand so it was easy to find. The cottage was clean, well furnished and the location - near the woods was perfect, the sounds of the stream was calming. We had some trouble with WiFi on our first day which the host took care of immediately by getting new router that solved that issue. My wife and i also had a wonderful time talking to Liz for hours that night. The cats said hi too. The place is close to Asheville about 15 min. Highly recommend.”
