Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Lure

The house had everything we needed in the kitchen and living areas. The boat dock was very well equipped with kayaks and easy to dock a rental boat. We had easy access to the lake. It has a wonderful, large dining table. We enjoyed the screened porch! The pool pavilion next store was lovely and very convenient. Jake was a very responsive host through the whole process. The information about things to do was very complete and helpful.

This property was perfect for our family gathering. Lots of spaces to gather and the kitchen was well stocked. It was so nice to have the water toys and dock. We rented a pontoon from Patrick (a local person recommended in the property binder) who delivered it to the dock and then came back and picked it up. We enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated the wood that was available. Can’t wait to plan to stay here again next year!

Perfect getaway with peace and quiet, dog loved it too. Walkable to Black Mountain with shopping, restaurants and music venues.

Peace on the French Broad ! My first river vacation and this was the right spot. You have to be aware it is in the path of the flood, however the owners have this place looking like it didn’t happen . The interior looks brand new , yard and landscape was awesome, kitchen was fantastic, couch comfy ( I slept my first night there with the windows open) , talk about perfection. You saw the neighbors still dealing with rebuilding , you knew the heartbreak felt by the Community . Visited Marshall to Shop for at the Co-Op, leaving our hearts full of snacks, vitamins and bedding plants. The bench by the riverbank was the best seat in the house. I honestly didn’t eat a single meal inside, the porch was the dining room, great for moon watching . The kid in me watched the train go by- who doesn’t love trains. I would definitely book with Billy again! Thanks again for sharing such a wonderful house!

I will definitely be staying at this house if we come up here again, very comfortable, clean, peaceful. Every morning we had deer in the yard. Such a great place!

This place is heaven on earth. So idyllic, quiet, lots of hiking. The house itself is cozy and well stocked. Kevin and Linda are wonderful hosts.

Amazing property! Beautiful views! Quiet serene lake with fun water activities available. The house was well appointed with everything we needed to be comfortable! The beds were comfortable! The welcome gift was so sweet. A perfect restful retreat for a long weekend with my daughters!! We will look to rent again next time we are in this area!

This was hands-down the best Airbnb stay ever! The cottage was exactly as described but also offered the little extras that many other places don’t; there were ample towels, extra blankets, plenty of toilet paper, soaps, toiletries, etc. The grounds are amazing… our pup loved taking walks to visit the cows and donkeys. We caught 2 giant fish in the pond (bass I think?). We enjoyed some wine and reading time under the coved porch while the storms passed through. We cannot wait to visit again next year!

Perfect escape for three generations! Reviews are very accurate! We have been using Airbnb almost exclusively over a dozen years, this experience was at the top of our list! Granddaughter (age 6) caught one fish after another. A great memory for her! Air conditioning was so comfortable for an older home. Generous space to spread out in huge rooms!

We loved Brevard! First time in this city and had a great time hiking all the trails within the resort. The hot tub was a nice ending to the day with beautiful sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed the community and will be back!

We truly enjoyed our time! The lake was the perfect temperature and the neighbors were so sweet. We even got some visits from the sweet dogs. The back deck was so nice to enjoy early morning coffee while watching the birds. It was a wonderful and relaxing time. Ethan was a wonderful and attentive host. We look toward to booking again.

Linda is an amazing host and one of the most proactive communicators I’ve ever rented from. Her place is lovely clean and easy to get to would definitely rent from Linda and the space again.

Sarah's place is lovely and quiet, overlooking the golf course and a view of the mountains. The neighbors were delightful, which added to the charm of our stay. The place was comfortable and spacious. Great to have the extra room and bath on the lower level, which makes it even more private. If you're looking for a place in the mountains near a lake, would recommend.

This house is amazing. Very comfortable beds , all bedrooms had king beds and two extra full beds in the “basement “. Kitchen well equipped too. Two grills - gas and charcoal. And an outdoor area for fireplace !

This place was so fantastic we are starting a new tradition of staying here! Easy access to the lake, the amenities were FAR BEYOND expectations and the proximity to local parks can’t be understated. Don’t look elsewhere, just book this location and you will be very happy.

Excellent stay! Peaceful place with plenty of space. The house is perfect for families with kids and pets. It is very well-equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, a variety of board games, and is sparkling clean. Especially for being a cabin, the outdoor furniture is spotless with no dust or spider webs. Linens and towels were super clean. Ana and James were wonderful hosts, providing a truly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

We were two couples who like to golf and love the Rumbling Bald resort lifestyle. This place is by far the most modern we’ve stayed in. We loved it. The views, birdwatching and sound of the creek in the quiet mornings are unbelievable. Everything was exceptional. I would say the only drawback is that the place is almost too modern. The nozzles and knobs on the showers were a bit intimidating at first. The oven also took a minute to figure out that it has a separate upper/lower oven option. We listened to music on the giant TVs once we figures out the new style remotes and realized there were free music channels. We had a great time! Will be back and highly recommend this condo!

Such a great house! We loved it. The place was extremely clean upon arrival. It was well stocked with everything we needed for the weekend and not at all cluttered. Great location. We hiked Grandfather mountain, Shortoff mountain, and Hawksbill. All great hikes and easy to get to. We also spent an afternoon kayaking on Lake James. It was very peaceful with large, calm coves. Great place to stay and I hope to be back.

LOVED the home! We had a fantastic time at this lake house in Mill Spring. The home had everything we needed, and every room had a beautiful view of the lake!!! Truly beautiful and peaceful to wake up to! It was also just a short drive to the Tryon horse show, which made things super convenient for us. We were able to rent the boat for a day, which was a great experience—we caught a bunch of fish and had a blast out on the water. Heather and Michael were wonderful hosts and very responsive! When our flights were canceled, they were incredibly accommodating and let us extend our stay by a day, which we really appreciated. The house and the hospitality made for a great trip, and we’re already talking about coming back! Thank you Heather and Michael!

I stayed with my family of 6 and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The house is immaculate. The views are amazing. It was very peaceful and quiet. I know that the surrounding area is still recovering from Helene but there was still plenty of things to do in the area. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We have already started to plan a return trip back to not only this area but this home. I would highly recommend a stay here.

It was everything that we expected and everything was ready for us to have a wonderful stay! So many thoughtful things to make the stay feel so comfortable! We enjoyed our stay very much! The perfect set up for our family!
