Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in La Veleta

I have nothing to add this was one of my best expériences.

This was one of the most lovely and relaxing places I have stayed in a while. It's beautiful inside and the pool area is great too. The owners were very communicative and kind. It is a tad on the outskirts of town, so we were glad we had a car rental. Overall, a great stay for a great price. 🙂

This was my second time staying at this apartment, and I loved it so much the first time that I brought my husband back for his birthday, just two and a half months after visiting with my sister. That said, there are a few things first-time visitors should know: 1. Rent a car. The apartment is in a more remote area, and the road leading in is unpaved. It’s not difficult, but it might feel unfamiliar if you’re not used to driving on dirt roads. A rental car gives you flexibility and peace of mind. I wouldn’t recommend using taxis every time you want to go to the beach or into town—it adds up quickly and limits your freedom. 2. Fly into Tulum Airport. Now that the Tulum airport is open, it's only about 35–40 minutes away from the apartment. You’re only just a few miles from the beach and very close to the town, where you’ll find great restaurants, shops, and a more local vibe. If you’re a fan of Thai food, I highly recommend Sukhothai—it’s about a 10-minute drive. Overall! Great!!

Beautiful apartment with balcony, 10min walk from the veleta where you will find restaurant and bars. Kenia is very responsive and makes sure everything goes smoothly.

Everything was excellent, Paulina was always helpful. The apartment is amazing, the beds are very comfortable and it has everything you need to have a great time…. In the complex there are good restaurants for breakfast, highly recommended, I would return on my next visit to Tulum.

This place was breath taking, lots to do and if you are worried about transportation, don’t be you can literally walk to ATV, mopeds and bike rentals right across the street for about $40 a day depending on what you choose, we went to our excursions on our rentals. I recommend going to the beach club area for food. Gas stations are close as well as grocery stores, the actual property was amazing!!!!!!

This Airbnb was absolutely perfect — a true home away from home in Tulum! The location is fantastic, very close to the centro but still peaceful and relaxing. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The space was spotless, and thoughtful touches like slippers, toothbrushes, and razors made it feel extra special. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had great water pressure, which can be rare to find. I also really appreciated the personalized key code — it was so convenient not having to worry about forgetting it! There were plenty of outlets throughout the apartment, making it easy to charge all our devices without any hassle. Parking was easily accessible, which was a huge plus for us. Whether you’re planning a short getaway or a longer stay, this Airbnb has everything you need. Highly recommend — I would definitely stay here again!

Great stay! Clean apartment, responsive host, and 5 min bike ride to town or 15 to hotel zone. Be aware, it is in an apartment building, so you can hear inconsiderate/loud guests.

There are no words to describe how absolutely perfect Alexandre's place in Tulum is! We are avid travelers (three kids) and it's rare you come upon absolute perfect. The place is new, modern, sleek, chic and comfortable. It has its own private deck with a small pool, then there an amazing shared space. It was friendly, safe and we really didn't want to leave! We hope to be back very soon. If you are looking for a place where you can unpack a suitcase and feel the Tulum vibe, this is it!

Great stay! Only downside was there were only two shower towels and had issues with the AC kicking off during the day and in the middle of the night… Easy access to everything you want to do in Tulum!

Had a great stay, felt very safe and clean. Host was responsive and we had a friendly driver the host recommended. Pool was warm and relaxing, would stay again!

Sonny was amazing from beginning to end, super friendly and incredibly responsive. The place looks exactly like the pictures, and has 24 hr security… who are super friendly and helpful as well. Loved that we were able to walk to nearby restaurants and convenience stores. Sonny had endless recommendations making our girls trip so much smoother. His transportation recommendation saved us everyday, the chef, the marachi band, the masseuse, all beautiful. Our experience was nothing less of amazing. Definitely recommended and would definitely book again.

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed this place. It was peaceful, secure and very well maintained. In addition to the place being amazing, the team was extremely responsive and very caring towards all of our needs. I recommend this place 10 out of 10, Rafael and Andrea took such great care of us! We stayed at Casa Zula with friends and had an amazing time! Access to the property was easy, with no dirt roads. It felt like a luxurious resort, with most bedrooms featuring king-size beds, private ensuites, and lovely balconies with stunning views. The amenities were perfect for our group; the rooftop hangout had a plunge pool, barbecue, and a large table for gatherings. The beautiful heated pool was an ideal spot for relaxation, and the courtyard was well-maintained with additional barbecue facilities. Plus, a backup generator gave us peace of mind. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the decor was beautiful and spotless. There was plenty of entertainment, including a pool table and large TVs in every room. We especially enjoyed sipping our coffee each morning while watching the sunrise and listening to tropical birds—it was magical. Overall, Casa Zula was the perfect place for a relaxing vacation with friends and family. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!

I really enjoyed the homes despite some minor things. Lots of mosquitoes, but just bring bug spray. You’re run Mexico so bugs are around. One of the bedroom toilet seems to be having pipe issues. But just keep the lid closed at all times not being used. Very secluded, very quiet. Would definitely stay there on my own even if accommodates 6-7 people. There should be more lights in the pool Area, maybe a bigger carper to prevent slip and fall. The wifi can be a bit spotty but it’s fine, just unplug from your phone because this is a beautiful home to do this at. When opening the gate to get into the property, bamboo is instructive. You need to hold the door very tightly towards you to get it unlocked. I can’t wait to come back to this home.

Exceeded our expectations - casa piedra is beautiful and had everything we needed and more. Gorgeous inside and out. All rooms are large - it was hard to pick a favorite! The kitchen is huge and fully stocked. AC worked like a charm. Over and above concierge service - helped us with recommendations, reservations, groceries, and a million questions. The whole team was super responsive and patient. We are so grateful and can’t wait to come back!

Staying here while in Tulum you will not regret it. The pictures were exactly like the listing stated. Air conditioning was very cold and the penthouse felt very private while here. The Airbnb provided cold water to drink and even had a washer and dryer to clean your clothes so you won’t have to worry about laundry coming back home. The host was kind and responsive and even gave us recommendations on where to eat and things to do. I must stress that you should get a car rental while in Tulum because the roads leading to the Airbnb and most roads are rocky and unpaved. Mostly all excursions and good restaurants are 15-20 mins away driving which is good. Do not hesitate to book this Airbnb 10/10 experience and forgot to mention the bed sheets were so soft like butter 😅
