Family-friendly vacation rentals in Isle of Wight

We had a lovely stay at Greenbank. The house was spacious, tidy and clean, and we appreciated the extras provided by the host (towels, toiletries, tea and coffee). The property is just a short walk away from a playground , shop, pharmacy and local places to explore, which we enjoyed investigating. Our 4-year-old loved reading the children's books from around the house and the garden was a lovely spot to play in. We paid to have the hot tub, which we found easy to use and great fun. We had a wonderful stay at the Old Farm Shop. It was in a lovely location - you could explore lots of beaches and also walk from the doorstep in to the countryside and to the sea. It was clean and tidy and had all the things you would need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was a great extra! Susie and Sarah were super responsive and helpful. We had a really lovely time, thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at King’s Orchard. The house was perfect for our stay, with everything we needed. The extra touches like yummy fresh bread, eggs, milk and butter enhanced the experience. Susie has thought of everything to make your stay and real home from home. Anytime I had a question Susie answers super quickly and even gave us a coffee machine when I enquired if there was one! The views, peaceful surroundings, coastal walks and cycle routes are all right on your doorstep. Highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be back !

We booked this home for one night only to celebrate my husband's birthday with family. The home was big, well stocked, comfy and wonderful to enjoy a family get-together in. Caroline, and her husband Phil, were amazing hosts, and couldn't have done more to make our stay any better than it was. Great rooms, hot tub, fab gardens, easy parking and plenty of room and light.

It was an amazing family get-together with children. All the rooms were great, and the kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary items. The beds were a good size, and we had nothing to complain about.

Great location. Easy to walk into Ventnor. The house easily accommodated 10 of us: 3 generations. Steve was quick to respond to any queries.

Just incredible. Perfect for the dog and the toddler and us adults! We had such a fab time and will be back next year for sure. Chloe was awesome 😎

Really comfortable and peaceful property. Really simply designed and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, pretty bedrooms and lovely garden. The living area was a really good spot to gather the whole family and eat and play games together. The garden shed had a good selection of games. Easy location for shops, walks, the beach and to drive to most locations on the island. Would definitely return.

We had a lovely few days at April Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and in a great location for exploring the New Forest and the coast.

Communication was quick and easy with Natasha. Drove through New Forest and saw the wild horses, then soon at the Ferry. Ferry was very well organised and they even knew our names at the check in booth! Access was straightforward, very clean and tidy throughout. Literally less than 10 mins from ferry, but far enough away in a quiet little area. Beautiful clean cosy cottage, very comfortable living. Situated in an excellent position.Small gated garden opening out onto large grass area.Then steps down to beach and licensed cafe. Forest to left of the cottage-long walks and great views. Super dog friendly-seemed every where in the Isle of Wight-in multiple cafes,pubs and restaurants, dogs spoilt, given their own complementary treats and water!Fully recommended for a couple(s) or family get aways and even spoiling the pooch.Thank you very much for having us,we felt very welcomed and really enjoyed every minute-could quite easily live there! Great place to stay for us, family of 4 including 2 late teens. All the tech bits ticked and 2 bathrooms. Lovely cosy little home, and extremely well planned accommodation meant everything we needed and more was available. We were on foot and used buses/ walked to see the sights around the island and found public transport surprisingly good and reliable. We would stay here again!

Our stay at Eileen’s apartment was simply perfect. It exceeded all our expectations-spotlessly clean, beautifully cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. We instantly felt at home. The highlight was the stunning sea view, visible from three of the windows. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.

We've had a lovely week in the train carriage. Long walks and days on the beaches, cream teas and great meals out. My teenage children even forgot about TV and Wifi and enjoyed lots of chess and board games, and star gazing after days out! If you want to switch off and have a relaxing week in a beautiful part of the Isle of Wight, this is the perfect stay. It's a little shabby chic, but full of charm and has everything you'll need - very cosy and lots of space for dogs to sniff and run around.

Great location for a family break. Entertainment passes included. Kids will love the robots delivering food in the restaurant. Didnt try out the pool this time but looked great. Loved how close we were to the beach beautiful day and night, with stunning sunsets. Also enjoyed a walk around the nature reserve. Great base for getting out on our bikes. We absolutely love the new forest and this was a great base for a short stay. We'd happily stay for longer.

Our second visit to this super property. Spotlessly clean throughout with everything you could need for your time away. The weather was great whilst we were staying so we were able to make good use of the decking overlooking Swanage Bay. Judith was very quick to respond when we had a question and she also recommended plenty of places for us to visit. Milk tea coffee and Dorset biscuits were left for us when we arrived which was a welcome treat when we arrived. Many thanks Judith and we will look forward to returning again next year.

We stayed at the Beach Huts for our mini-moon and it was absolutely wonderful. The apartment had everything we could need, and felt very private. The pool and tennis court are shared, but were always free when we used them. The location is quiet enough to be peaceful, but you still get all the deliveroo options from Chichester! We also enjoyed a walk across fields to Tangmere, where there was a useful coop and an interersting aviation museum. The kitchen was well-stocked, and we would highly recommend it to families and we hope to return in a few years time to enjoy it with others.

My family and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at The Oaks and we all wished we could have stayed longer. The house is well equipped, clean and tidy. There was plenty of room for 7 adults and 1 infant. The bedrooms were comfortable with fresh linen. I particularly booked this accommodation for the outside pool and this didn't disappoint. A perfect size pool for us and we enjoyed sitting around the garden and pool area. Beautiful Sobo beach is walking distance from the house and there are many good places to eat and drink nearby. We enjoyed a birthday celebration lunch at The Captains club restaurant which we would highly recommend, great food and attentive staff. A big thank you to Maggie And Peter for a great airbnb property.

We stayed here for just over a week with our three children -everything was clean and tidy when we arrived and it was a nice place to use as a base for going to the beach/Hengistbury Head. Lovely holiday!

We absolutely loved our stay. The caravan was gorgeous, clean, and in a great location to watch the sea and squirrels. We did not want to leave, a perfect cozy home by the sea.
