We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

Jennifer’s home was beautiful, clean,extremely well equipped and had absolutely everything we needed for a lovely peaceful break away. Especially appreciated having little extras like the comfortable deck furniture, fleece blankets, salt pepper soap cloths etc. would definitely recommend and definitely would book again.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Amazing stay ! House is very welcoming , extremely well equipt , cosy but also spacious and immaculately clean . Views from the sun room just stopped me in my tracks … breath taking ! - 20 mins or so and we were at Whitehaven where you can walk to st bees beach - 30 minute drives to both blencathra and skiddaw , which we were happy to tick off ☑️… our first visit to the lakes made even better with this lovely home to come back to after a day in the fells ❤️

We had a wonderful stay! Communication was great from the start, and the home itself is absolutely beautiful, cosy, warm, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel really special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was excellent too. Sarah, her husband, and Joey were so lovely and welcoming, and their gorgeous dog made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this stay, would love to come back!

A beautiful place, I'd even consider It in the winter too, having the log fire going would really comfy If the weather was bad.

A lovely house. The hard flooring is perfect for groups likely to have muddy boots. we were a group of four sixty somethings having a room to ourselves ,all the bedrooms are well furnished so need to argue about who got the best room. The garden is a hidden jewel. sadly theweather didn't allow to use it but that's the lakes. It wasn't until the last day that it became obvious why the cottage has the name it does, that was a lovely bonus. A perfect base for visiting the lakes.

A beautiful house in a lovely setting, great for family get togethers, location right on the lake was amazing, & easy access to lovely local town of Glenridding for essentials. Wide range of facilities at the cottage, we really enjoyed the private outdoor eating area next with the wood fired outdoor grill. Very nice well appointed kitchen with quality appliances, bathrooms clean and with quality fittings. Outside garden/woodland area was perfect for us and our dog, although the many steps and steep paths would not suit everyone, but this factor is clearly explained in the information host provides. We found some rooms a little dark, especially on a rainy day but there are some lovely lamps which can be moved around if required. Overall I would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay & enjoy the lake district and all it has to offer.

Rueberry House was perfect for our needs. We were a group of 4 brothers and wives and we all had an ensuite bedroom. 5 of our group are golfers and enjoyed the nearby course while the rest of us explored the Lakes. The living space was great and the dining table was perfect for takeaway dinners and breakfast. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was very well equipped and the China plates and serving dishes were beautiful. If we were staying for longer we would have enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The garden overlooking the beach was perfect. One thing that stood out for us was the small touches such as the desk/makeup table in each room as well as magnifying mirrors and 5 front door keys so that we could each have one. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Denise was a lovely host and if we have a large gathering in the future we would not hesitate to rebook.

Super gemütliche Unterkunft, um den Lake District und die Küste zu erkunden. Janice hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir haben uns sehr willlommen gefühlt. Sehr große Küche mit allem, was man sich wünschen kann - inklusive einer liebevoll zusammengestellten Auswahl an Lebensmitteln. Zwei gemütliche Sofas und im TV eine umfangreiche Auswahl an Mediatheken, hier wird jeder fündig! Die Betten waren sehr gemütlich und das Bad modern eingerichtet. Großer Stellplatz am Haus und entspanntes Ein- und Ausparken. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

The house and grounds are spectacular- with amazing views across the Irish Sea to Cumbria and the Isle of Man. Amazing array of wildlife within the grounds- red squirrels, hares, roe deer, red kites all frequently sighted. The house is so comfortable and very tastefully decorated with very high quality fixtures and fittings. The surrounding area is very beautiful and so quiet and peaceful. One of the very best AirB&Bs we have stayed in, highly recommended.

Excellent location, very tranquil with views of the fells. Very convenient for walking the main peaks. The house was as described, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There were even some teabags and cooking oil there which i had forgotten to bring! Hilary was super helpful and always responded promptly to our queries. The only downside of the house is the size of the downstairs rooms. It was perfect for us as a party of four, but larger groups might struggle to fit everyone into just one living room or eating area, although there is plenty of both across all the downstairs rooms. We had a wonderful stay here and made amazing memories. The surroundings were stunning, and we felt right at home. We loved the cottage and the little touches made the stay even better - the brownies were to die for. Rosie was a great host, and we’d love to come back in the near future.

The end terrace cottage has delightful views across the valley to the high fells. It’s warm and cosy with huge windows to take in the views. The kitchen is well equipped with thoughtful little extras. We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay and it was a great base to come back to after a day’s hiking. We loved it!

We stayed a week in Danes Court. It’s a spacious, characterful, and very peaceful Victorian Lodge. Well equipped with good WiFi in the main rooms and TVs in the lounge and bedrooms. It’s well equipped and comfortable, and we slept well in the king size bed. We enjoyed sitting out in the afternoons (weather permitting), enjoying the peace and quiet and flutter of the birds. Danes Court is easily accessed from a very quiet road. Kendal, Windermere, and Ambleside are all within 30 minutes drive, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants/pubs within 10-20 minutes drive through beautiful countryside.

a large beautiful house in a peaceful, remote and serene location. The house was stocked with lots of towels, plenty of glasses, cups and cutlery. Lots of space for a group to hangout and eat together. hosts were great and responded quickly. the fire was delightful.

They are amazing, thoughtful and kind. The house was very clean with all the required amenities. They even kept a baby cot for our baby !!! Billy is always there to support throughout our stay. Such an amazing memorable stay in a peaceful place. Everything was smooth and we are fully satisfied, Highly recommended
