We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

I'd stay at Jackie's place again whenever I next visit no question. Good price, and the place is exactly as she's described. And whenever I messaged her she always responded back to me within 30mins at most which is excellent

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Loved staying at Bens for a few nights to climb scafell pike! Very welcoming, had everything needed for a short stay, and in such a lovely location with the beach only a 5 minute walk away. The views from all the windows are beautiful. If you like train spotting there is a bridge to watch from just outside the cottage too! Lovely ice cream shop and place to get breakfast (Mawsons) a 5 minute drive away (or a nice walk straight down the beach) in Seascale. Thanks Ben, would love to come back!

Fantastic stay with dear friends in Ambleside. The house was beautiful, the beds were comfy, the hot tub was great, and it was only a two minute walk to the shops in Ambleside. Perfect weekend and we would all come back. Highly recommend.

Extremely clean and tidy. Great location and we loved the sustainable products supplied. Brilliant location and Sandi & Rich were really responsive and welcoming - would recommend!!

Really nice little place, perfect for the two of us. Great location for a hike to scaffell pike, as only a 10/15 min drive to head carpark. Easy to check in, everything you need for a little break away.

A lovely house. The hard flooring is perfect for groups likely to have muddy boots. we were a group of four sixty somethings having a room to ourselves ,all the bedrooms are well furnished so need to argue about who got the best room. The garden is a hidden jewel. sadly theweather didn't allow to use it but that's the lakes. It wasn't until the last day that it became obvious why the cottage has the name it does, that was a lovely bonus. A perfect base for visiting the lakes.

We had a wonderful stay at Greg's place in Ravenglass. The location is fabulous, the views were gorgeous and the proximity to the beach was great for us, the dogs loved it! The accommodation itself was perfect. Such a gorgeous home with everything we needed. Lovely and clean and well furnished. The EV charger was a great bonus for us. Greg was a great host, friendly and easily contactable, providing clear instructions on how to get to the property and information on the local area. Overall we loved our time here, thank you for sharing your property with others. We would love to come back.

This property is absolutely perfect for group gatherings. We all had plenty of personal/ shared space. The whole house was spotless and well equipped. We were especially impressed with the kitchen, which had everything you might need. The local town is great, and it was useful to have a food shop just a short walk away. We loved the access to the beach and how easy it was to get to the gorgeous lakes from the house. Thank you so much Denise for this wonderful place, and for being so responsive and helpful.

My stay at Ehen Hall was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The host, Susan was incredibly gracious. Communication before my stay was welcomed ensuring that I found the property without a problem. I really appreciated the gesture of a welcome basket which included local goods as well as other goodies; and also the flexibility of arriving a little earlier than anticipated. The apartment within Ehen Hall was amazing, exactly as described. Spotlessly clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The location was ideal for exploring the western side of the Lakes and there are numerous walks close at hand if you wanted a day without driving. I can also recommend parking at Whitehaven and taking the train to Ravenglass for the Eskdale valley. Overall a truly memorable and enjoyable stay and couldn't recommend the host and accommodation more highly. If I ever visit this part of the Lakes again, I would have no hesitation in returning to Ehen Hall. Thank you Susan.

Amazing stay ! House is very welcoming , extremely well equipt , cosy but also spacious and immaculately clean . Views from the sun room just stopped me in my tracks … breath taking ! - 20 mins or so and we were at Whitehaven where you can walk to st bees beach - 30 minute drives to both blencathra and skiddaw , which we were happy to tick off ☑️… our first visit to the lakes made even better with this lovely home to come back to after a day in the fells ❤️

We did a lot of different activities in the Lake district but the house was the highlight of our trip, we’d have been happy just to spend the whole time in the house. The house has been designed to get the most out of the views and the decor is amazing too, it is really clean and feels brand new. I’d say it is definitely worth paying a bit more to stay here over anywhere else in the local area, and we will be returning at some point in the future, we miss the house already. Also Team Laik and the owners are all fantastic, communicate well and make everything easy, so if you haven’t used Airbnb before I’d go with these, you can use the messaging system on the app and get a response almost straight away should you have any questions.

stunning cottage nothing around but was central for most of lakes area no power just after we arrived whole area down but not a problem if u want quiet comfy stay this is place beautiful and would highly recommend x

Charmingl house in a peaceful village with lovely friendly pub 5 minutes walk from the house (good food and atmosphere). Everything you need in the house, comfortable beds, cosy duvets. Amazing view from the house. 100% recommend!

We have just returned home from 4 nights at Julie's ex-guesthouse and we absolutely loved it. We were a group of 5 adults, a 9 year old and 18 month old and there was space for all of us. Each room has its own ensuite and the kitchen is well stocked. The whole place was very clean and the utility room is also massive which helps if you need to do any washing while staying there. We will definitely look to use Julie's place again in the future. Julie replied in good time to any messages and is very friendly. Highly recommend as a great place to get around the Lakes from too.

Lovely house in a great location. Rob was really helpful, responded promptly, and provided lots of information on things to do in the area.

Really enjoyed our stay, lovely location, beds very comfortable, we all slept like logs, would definetly book again, had a very chilled time.
