Wonderful location for a weekend away. Communication with Sandra was very pleasant. The house has all the comforts. The men have fished in the area and the women walked well with kids.

Barry is a very friendly, easily accessible host who cares. Communication was top notch. The house is as described in the photos and text. Perhaps it should be mentioned that the stairs to the bedrooms upstairs are very steep and narrow. For us and our (big) children, this was not a problem, but with young children this could be an issue. We were very pleased with the mosquito nets and the blinds to darken in the bedrooms. The beds are comfortable. It's very quiet on the lake, even when many cottages are inhabited - a relaxed, beautiful atmosphere. The use of the TV was only a mystery to us, but after a demand from Barry everything worked well. The SUPs and boats are a highlight - our kids loved it. Water lilies and the daily visit of ducks and chickens are included. Shopping is nearby, and Barry gives good tips for things to do and getaways. Great vacation overall.

A great place to relax for a small family or a group of friends

We had booked a midweek with the family. The house was in great order and equipped with every comfort. Great location on the water so the kids could swim. We will definitely go back here in the future.

We were very satisfied, the sanitary facilities were a little small but sufficient for a vacation 😊 The living area and bedrooms were great. The beach is easily accessible by car as well as zoos. Overall very satisfied.

If you're looking for a peaceful place to recharge, this is the place! Surrounded by diverse and varied pets. The accommodation is beautiful and close to shops and many towns and villages to visit. Sharon is very responsive and responds immediately . Following his advice, we were able to get to Amsterdam by train. I highly recommend it!!

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly what we needed , clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. They really made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Benjamin is a great host, we received a great introduction into the history of the place. The appartment is very nice, clean and well maintained. It has everything you need. Also Benjamin was very helpful and attentive, he gave good recommendations for a boat rental. Fantastic base to explore the Frisian lakes by boat.

We had a great stay! The apartment is in a quiet and natural environment, is tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort. Everything was sparkling clean and well cared for. The location is ideal: you are in Harlingen and Franeker in no time. Ympkje is an incredibly friendly and thoughtful host, who is always ready. We felt immediately welcome. The place fully complied with the description. The host responded promptly to any question. We had spent 3 nice days there and felt very comfortable in the house. We fully recommend the space and the host.

I can't say enough positive things about our stay at Kevin and Kim's beautiful home. The place was fantastic and exactly as advertised. We felt right at home immediately in their immaculately clean home. It had everything we needed for a quick getaway. It was close to busses, the grocery store and the lovely shops and promenade in Volendam on the water. Amsterdam was only a 20 minute bus ride. Kevin greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Truly a great experience. I would book with Kevin and Kim in a heartbeat again should our travels return to Volendam.

We had a wonderful week in Liz and Alex's apartment. If you love peace and nature, this is the place to be. The apartment is ideal for two people. In addition, you can use sun loungers and benches in the garden. By bike, you can easily reach all the places on the island. In the neighboring village of Osterend there is also a supermarket. You can take a nice walk right by the sea from the apartment, the dike can be reached in 5 minutes. Liz and Alex are very attentive and lovely hosts. The apartment is fully and very functionally furnished. For value for money, we only give 4 stars. Actually, it's a bit too expensive for April. But that's the way it is on the island.

Lovely apartment, very easy to find and very clean and comfortable. Great location on the waterfront and close to bus station. Easy walk to town and lots of cafes / restaurants. Shafieq was really responsive and helpful and gave very clear instructions on check-in.

We booked the accommodation very spontaneously and felt very comfortable. Communication with Simon went great and he always helped us quickly with our request. We particularly liked that we were flexible with the arrival and departure in the accommodation. Thank you - we will be back :)

Best location for access to Edam. Steps away from the cheese market. Ample parking for an SUV. Bathroom on par with American standards - nicer than most European bathrooms. Washer and dryer are full capacity. Enough sleeping space for a family of six. Playground in front of house. Hosts nice and responsive. Cobbled roads and narrow homes do make Edam not ADA friendly like much of Europe.

Astrid and Georg's house is in a great location right on the water. The house is super cozy and has enough space for 6 people. Especially the room under the roof is beautiful. The small village is quickly accessible and you only have to cross the street once and you are already at the IJsselmeer. We had a wonderful long weekend at Astrid and Georg's house.

We had some very nice days in the tiny home. It is located directly on the water and it almost feels like you are in a houseboat :o) Robbert and Manon respond super fast and very friendly.

Such a lovely place to say in a peaceful, friendly village with swimming canal ,all within easy to navigate public transport to central Amsterdam. We had a fantastic time, our host Lonneke was helpful and very friendly. The cottage was very clean and as described. I would recommend staying here.

We had a great stay in the tiny house. Mariska is a nice host with great communication. Highly recommended. Another culinary tip: eat at the Grand Cafe Kade. Delicious fish, top service.

We had a very nice time in Jacques' cottage. The house spreads a great atmosphere, the wide view over the meadows is fantastic. The location is quiet as it is far enough off the road and you feel very private, even if the landlord's house is only 10 meters away. It looks even bigger inside than in the pictures. Thanks to the perfectly functioning heat pump underfloor heating, we always had a pleasant warmth in the house even during the winter days. Only climbing the stairs to the sleeping area is very special and requires certain athletic abilities. But you know what you're getting into, the pictures document it very well. What we really liked: the dog, cat and chickens stop by again and again. Jacques is very careful to give the tenants their privacy, but is also always up for a nice chat, quickly responsive and helpful. Fresh eggs for free!

Very nice cottage and lovely place to sit outside. You can relax very well in both good and bad weather
