Welcome to our lovely house "Achter de Turf" in Medemblik. Located on the flowing water. At the front, there is ample parking for your car, and if you come by boat, you can moor it in Westerhaven. The house offers plenty of comfort and is within walking distance of the city center, where shops, restaurants and cozy terraces are available. Medemblik is located on the IJsselmeer and the surrounding dike where you can enjoy the West Frisian area. Amsterdam is a 50-km drive.

Rural cottage

Get away from it all, enjoy nature on the edge of the IJsselmeer and beach. In the 2700m2 backyard of our farmhouse are two detached tiny houses with a large private garden and private entrance with lots of privacy. The cottage is within walking distance of the historic city of Medemblik and close to Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Amsterdam is 45 minutes away. Various possibilities for water sports. Beach, ports, shops etc. reachable within 5 minutes by car and 25 minutes on foot.

Welcome to our 'B and B 40 A'

Our B&B is located near the tourist center of Medemblik, on navigable water, with a parking space on private property. Our living room has an open kitchen with hob, Senseo, kettle, fridge, combi microwave. and there is Wi-Fi available. It is a complete cottage with its own front door, and from this ideally located accommodation you can cycle, sail, walk, to museums and or to the castle, or go on the scenic steam train to Hoorn, etc. You can also rent bicycles from us.

De Kaap: a spacious place near the Wad!

A completely renovated shed on the almost extreme tip of North Holland, near the Wadden Sea! Fully equipped with a large double bed (1.60x2.00), a table, kitchenette with water, electric cooking and fridge. Next to the shed is "the sanitary villa," which has a shower (cold water) and a dry toilet. But…… in consultation, a bathroom with a hot shower can always be used in the other accommodation on the property (De Zwarte Schuur or Het Schuurhuis)!

Waddenhut direct aan de Waddenzee. Who needs National Geographic?! Elk moment weer een ander spectaculair uitzicht op de waddenzee vanuit onze retro ingerichte hut, de veranda of tuin. Toch op pad? het Amstelmeer (zwemmen en surfen) is 10 minuten lopen, het Noordzeestrand (Den Helder, Callantsoog) 20 km verderop. De boot naar Texel 15 km. Pittoreske stadjes als Hoorn, Enkhuizen of Schagen liggen binnen 30 minuten rijden.

Cozy Pipo with hot tub & swing on the water

Romantic stay with a view from your bed on the water and a 2-person swing. From the love-seat you can watch TV or the fireplace (heating) and you have it cozy in the winter or you can sit outside on the terrace by the water in the summer to daydream, read or play games. Hot tub, kayak or 2 SUP boards can be booked. There are also bicycles, which you can borrow for free. The bathroom is 1 step outside the pipo and all for you.

Yurt with porch and hot-tub!

Hire our Yurt for a cosy camping, glamping or fun sleepover experience. A Yurt is a Mongolian nomad tent made of very natural materials such as wood and wool. This one is brand new, build up in May 2017. Inside you find everything you need, even a kitchen with a fridge. Enjoy your own hot-tub, little garden and porch with a nice few over the bulb fields. At 8 minutes driving you'll find the nearest beach of Groote Keeten.
