Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Het Hogeland

The four of us spent a wonderful weekend here. The house is situated in the quiet De Monnik Park and is equipped with every comfort. Very harmonious in color, bright and comfortable with a separate toilet and new bathroom, the beds are good and the kitchen is nice and functional. Completely satisfied, we would love to come back!

Great Host!

A nice place, nice spacious and bright house with all the necessities for a few days away. We could cook there and the dog could go outside. The hot tub was a nice addition. Jan and Elly responded quickly to our questions and were very accommodating. Just out of town and a few days Lauwersoog: we recommend it!

we enjoyed our short stay (2 nights) very much. the cozy and nicely furnished accommodation was easy to reach, corresponded to the descriptions and the communication with the hosts was nice and straightforward. four-houses was a great starting point for us to see Groningen and the sea. the beds were comfortable, everything was relaxed and also the check out without cleaning and with time until noon contributed to this. the sheep across the street were great to look at. we had a great time all around. thanks & dead.

Simple but very cozy accommodation. Everything you need is available. Hosts are always available. We felt very comfortable.

very nice place with lots of sun. He warned us about the steep staircase in advance so we were prepared. overall great place and calm Winsum neighbourhood.

We stayed in Kathy‘s cottage for three nights and had a lovely time! The house is well equipped, we had everything we needed and expected. Kathy welcomed us and was really lovely and on the last day she and Martin even let us get to know their dogs and horses. The area is quiet and nice and we had a great time relaxing :) We would definitely recommend staying here and we would love to come back in the future!

Great place, very clean and cozy, you felt right at home in the chalet. The location was a bit isolated and you had to drive longer for activities/shopping because there wasn't much going on there. In terms of price, unfortunately, it's just a little too expensive for all the possibilities. All in all, we still had a few great days together & I thank you dear Nicole for the uncomplicated conversation. ☀️❤️

Spacious stay with its own sink in each room: very convenient! I'm glad there were high chairs and children's cutlery and crockery available. Good communication about check-in and check-out and tips for the region. We had a very nice stay.

The three of us stayed in Esther's apartment for a week and felt very comfortable there. The apartment is very tastefully decorated. Everything - dishes, etc., are available in sufficient quantity and quality. There's really nothing missing. For the first day and breakfast the fridge was stocked! We were welcomed with chilled sparkling wine. We especially enjoyed the spacious kitchen-living room, which is the center of the apartment. The apartment is located in the old town of Appingedam, a very nice place and a good starting point for trips to Groningen or Leeuwarden. Highly recommend both. We highly recommend this property and Esther as a landlady.

A beautiful Airbnb where we felt right at home. It is nice and quiet, great location and so lovingly furnished. Sander and Judith put a lot of effort into it and are great hosts.

In a great location, on a water with a wide view, a very nice apartment. To relax and enjoyment. Renting a bike or boat nearby makes the stay great.

The place was/is very lovingly decorated. The surrounding area as well! It is a very functional place to stay and my personal taste is small and cozy. Yfke was present and accommodating when needed. She just has a knack for creating a nice and friendly atmosphere. All in all, recommended if you want to treat yourself.

Wow what a fab place. Middle of the countryside yet just a few minutes drive from all the facilities you need. A converted barn has been made into a lovely peaceful space. Wish we could of stayed longer

Wonderful and nice central place to explore Schier. In the middle of the village, near the bus, restaurants, supermarket and cozy terraces. Cozily furnished and nice terrace at the front where you can watch the world pass a bit. Also very nice to be able to use the two basic but good quality bicycles. Adjustable saddle without tools in height. Recommended!

Perfect location close to everything with nice communication and responsive hosts

Had a wonderful time here, it is in a great location with plenty of shops and a gorgeous park right around the corner! the apartment is beautiful and comfortable. would love to come back again

Due to my husband's work, we stayed at Dennis and his family's place for 7 weeks, who live in the large part of the house. The place is very quietly located. For those who love it like we do, it's perfect. You only need a car or bike for weekly shopping as there are no shops in the village. The rooms are small and each has a dresser in it. The bathroom, on the other hand, is very spacious. You absolutely have to ventilate after every shower, otherwise it smells a bit peculiar. The kitchen and living room invite you to linger. Unfortunately, the garden was always very wet due to the weather, which is why we cannot report much about it. Behind the house there is a very nice playground and picnic areas. There are plenty of great walking trails. We made excursions to Groningen, Veemdam, Assen and even Amsterdam. We enjoyed it very much. Dennis and his family were incredibly nice!

We had a wonderful time at Ruben's Appt. Looking forward to our next stay there.
