We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The setting was peaceful and private—perfect for unwinding. The host was very responsive and thoughtful, providing clear check-in instructions and great local recommendations. We especially loved JPS Wimberley BBQ—it was delicious! And spending time at the river was truly amazing. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I really enjoyed the stay for my sister’s birthday! We were able to float the river that was right down the road about 5-10 minutes away! The kitchen was beautiful and very nice to cook in! We really loved the backyard, as we utilized the hot tub and projector! Everything was really clean too! Definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was great. The house was clean, it’s very peaceful and quiet and still convenient to restaurants and attractions.

As I sit here and write this review I'm comparing my pictures that I took to the pictures of the rental and the more disappointed I'm getting. The pictures are nothing like what is shown for outside. The inside of the house was awesome. As for outside the grass was overgrown. The number of chairs that are shown was way less. Not to mention of the two chairs one was broke. Luckily we brought our own chairs. No corn was provided for the deer. I did reach out about the corn and was told it was in the pantry, but there wasn't any there. If you are not going to enjoy the outdoors and plan on staying inside this house is perfect. I wish there was a way to provide my pictures for reference.

This is a great spot for large groups that don’t want to stay under the same roof. The area is beautiful and well kept. Perfect for families and kids or adults wanting to relive sleep away camp. The fenced in dog park is perfect for the fur babies. We will absolutely be returning!

We absolutely loved our stay at Bungalow on the Square in Wimberley. We visit the area several times a year, but this was our first time staying right on the square—and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Your home is beautiful, warm, and perfectly located for everything we enjoy about Wimberley. Everything was perfect. We had the absolute BEST experience staying at this perfect little cottage near Dripping Springs! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away. The home is small, but every inch of it is so thoughtfully designed and impeccably decorated — cozy, charming, and truly picture-perfect. It felt like stepping into a dream. The outdoor space was just as incredible — inviting, peaceful, and so comfortable that we honestly didn’t want to leave. We were supposed to be attending a retreat nearby, but we found ourselves wishing we could just stay at the cottage instead! The home was spotless, stocked with everything we needed, and the owner communicated flawlessly, making the whole process easy and welcoming. We can’t recommend this place enough and are already dreaming about coming back. It’s truly a hidden gem!

We enjoyed our 4 night stay with Nick. He was responsive and helpful throughout. The location is in a quiet neighborhood not far from downtown, the Domain and rest of central Austin. The house itself is as pictured and has some fun Austin charm including a cute koi pond in the back yard. Would stay again!

Luc is a very responsive and friendly host, even promptly answering messages sent extremely early in the morning. The home is very comfortable, spacious, and clean with a well appointed kitchen and rooms. The location is very private and peaceful with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy and still close enough to restaurants and all that Austin has to offer.

Excellent place to visit with beautiful views and wildlife. We seen lots of deer and even a The spring feed creek was very beautiful. The water is so clear you can se the bottom and all the fish swimming around. We saw lots of bluegill some bass and spotted garfish which I have never seen in the wild.

Francisco and Alma’s place is a hidden gem in the hill country. The exterior of the property is beautiful and well-kept. I sat outside on the front porch every morning to have my coffee and was accompanied by the tranquil sounds of nature. The place itself is pretty spacious with updated appliances and a mostly equipped kitchens for cooking. A few more plates/bowls would be nice. The living room area is great for lounging and watching tv but the couches are quite small. Overall, my parents, pup, and I really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area. Thank you Francisco and Alma for hosting us for our weekend getaway!

My mother and I stayed overnight to attend a nearby concert. The place is gorgeous, you really CAN see for miles and miles! The bed was very comfortable. The house was well appointed. Both Kathy and Wayne were very responsive via text, call, and in person. I would definitely recommend and would stay at their property again the next time I'm in Dripping Springs!

I stayed at John & Suzanne’s place for a couple of months with pets & had an amazing & comfortable time! It’s super peaceful with beautiful sunsets, starry skies & orchards that are great for walking - I walked them almost every day to get my steps in! The birds singing in the mornings made it feel simply magical. I have the Merlin Bird ID app & would regularly clock in 10-12 different bird species almost every morning! No issues with WiFi, neighbors, parking, or mail delivery. Pedernales Falls State Park is nearby, make sure to check it out & schedule a reservation ahead of time unless going after hours. Dripping Springs is the closest town for groceries (H‑E‑B) about 20min drive. Easy access to get to Austin, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, etc. John & Suzanne were friendly & great hosts - I’d definitely stay again :)

The house was very cozy - just the right amount of space for us (a couple + 1 dog). Location was wonderful, a quick walk to all the great restaurants and shops on South Congress. Neighborhood was also great, perfect for walking the dog and surprisingly peaceful given the activity close by on Congress. Huge H-E-B was a short drive away, perfect for grabbing groceries, water, etc. Hosts were very responsive and proactive. Would absolutely stay here again next time we are in Austin!

There are 2 houses on this property. I was staying 2 months, and about 10 days into my stay the hot water heater began leaking in the Plum Cottage. A replacement heater had to be ordered. I was offered the chance to move to the other (bigger) Stone House at no additional cost, either until the repair was made, or for the duration of my stay. I chose to remain at the bigger house for the duration. Not only was it an upgrade, but it kept me from having to move all my stuff yet again. That was a very kind offer !! Although this location is in the country and very peaceful, Wimberley is just a short drive for any needed supplies or to visit shops and restaurants. As I'd drive down the road this property is on, folks would wave when passing. I once encountered a deer in the yard as I was heading out. It moved a little farther away, but was still enjoying being on the property a little later when I returned. Nice to be in nature and able to share the same space. A pleasant stay !!

Cindy and Tory were so sweet and accommodating!! Their place is amazing and the location is so great. They were very helpful and fast at responding. The views were great and we will definitely be coming back!

I decided to splurge on my family visit & this didn’t disappoint. My brother lives only an hour away but we were seeing Willie at the Whitewater Ampitheater (both phenomenal) and I wanted to treat us all. Brownie points all around for my choice that are still going strong! Driving up the little hill into the driveway, we found the house nestled in among the trees with a view to the lake. Clean, stylish, roomy on the inside, my 6’4” brother was delighted with the king size bed, my daughter was delighted with the little balcony off her bedroom so she could read and watch for wildlife and we loved our big bed overlooking the front where the herd of deer gathered waiting for their corn! But the weather was perfect and we spent most of our time gathered outside in the comfy Adirondack chairs or in the screened in porch. The only sad thing about the entire time was how low the water in Canyon Lake has gotten. Pray for rain soon! Thank you, Richard. My brother will be back with his clan!

I had a wonderful week long stay in Wimberly and this house was a great home base. The house was very clean and comfortable. The owner had supplied water, snacks and coffee as a courtesy. The host was responsive, helpful and offered suggestions related to my interests. So much to do in Wimberley! Nearby State Parks, nature areas and parks have great hiking and views. Highly recommended!

The house was perfect for what we needed to do around the area.. roomy home for 5 .. good layout.. Jimmy was very friendly and attentive..

Listing was very clean and perfect for what my group wanted. Host was super responsive and answered all our questions within a few minutes. Can’t recommend it enough!
