Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hampshire

We enjoyed our stay at Andy & Rosie's thanks to the great location and beautiful surroundings. We used it as a base for Goodwood, which was a short drive away. The local golf club being so close was also a bonus. The accommodation itself was well furnished and spacious and check in was made simple with the clear instructions and Andy's welcoming greeting on arrival.

we had a superb getaway, ideal for timeout and a recharge. everything was as described and the mattress was so comfortable. is now on our favourites lists to return back to.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay inside Betty. It was extremely accurately described. We felt at home straight away by the facilities onboard. The view in the morning was fantastic, being woken up by cockerel was a lovely reminder of being in the countryside. The perfect break to wind down and relax. We were lucky with the weather mostly which made it even more magical. The lights around the outside at night was a lovely touch. The bathroom was delightful, with the underfloor heating working at all times. I’m sure we will back to see Betty. Would recommend to everyone.

So nice to unwind, listen to the birds and decompress. Exactly what was needed with our hectic lives and schedules. Loved the quiet location and that our dogs could walk around the golf course and woods. Only recommendation we would make is a little freshen up and updating in some areas, like sealant around the bath (which was great by the way after a long day!) Having milk when we arrived was well appreciated, if there was a complimentary starter pack of some small jams/butter and scones - I'd give you 5* here! But a great stay nonetheless. Really comfortable.

Lovely peaceful weekend away. The place was very clean and beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Both lulu and russ were very welcoming and helpful. We used the hot tub on the Saturday and would recommend booking this. The location is great - very peaceful and a 5min drive from the beach and pubs in walking distance. We look forward to returning!

We spent a lovely long weekend in the house catching up with friends. The kids enjoyed the hot tub, and the room with twin beds was perfect for our 7 year olds. There is a patch of grass to play on, but by where you park the cars, not next to the house. Wasn’t a problem for us as we went out during the day, but in case that’s a necessity for you.

Definitely recommend Sam’s beautiful house. Immaculately kept garden with hot tub and huge trampoline which kept the children busy. All rooms with clean and had everything that we needed. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms were clean and showers etc all in good order. Thank you!

I stayed here for a weekend with a friend for a nice relaxing get away from busy London lives. The commute was smooth in the car. We had a very easy experience where we had just what we needed in the tree space, and really appreciated that we were left to our own devices and knew we could get in touch with the host if we needed to. The tree space is beautiful and simple, and we had the additional upgrade with a great breakfast hamper. There are so many options for walks around there, so easily accessible and not too many other walkers around. Everything worked as we needed it to. A couple of small downsides for us, which was that the bed is a bit small for two people and the logs for our fire didn't burn well and didn't come with firelighters/newspaper/kindling so was tricky to get it started and maintained. Overall we had a fantastic and very comfortable stay, just what we needed, and we will be back!!

A lovely house in a beautiful setting. The house is very comfortable and in a lovely private location, but so close to the New Forest and other attractions. Maxine is friendly and helpful and gave some great recommendations for local pubs and days out. We will definitely be going back.

Matthew’s place is the upper end of 5*. Pristine presentation, crisp linen, blankets and pillows. This is a boutique home. Matthew’s communication was regular, and with the right information at the right time. This is what you need to know now, and then next and next. Anyone who has not been to the New Forest, it is an eye opener. Absolutely stunning. Bieulieu is stunning with great walks and the New Forest is cycling Mecca!

Honeysuckle Cottage is on the main road through East Meon but once inside it is quiet. All the furnishing and equipment are good quality and although the cottage is small, there is plenty of storage and it has everyone needed for a relaxing weekend. As others have said the second bedroom is very small but our son and his girlfriend slept comfortably and had enough space for their clothes. The garden is secure, so perfect for our dog. It’s also a sun trap so we were able to enjoy relaxing outside even though it wasn’t particularly hot weather. There are many excellent walks on the doorstep with stunning views. We were able to eat at The George on a couple of evenings and didn’t use our cars all weekend, which was just perfect. We did not park our cars on the main road but there’re plenty of places to park in the village, including the car park.

Elm Cottage, was a brilliant find and we will be back. Great place to stay, great host. Very welcoming and also received a basket of essentials including bread and biscuits with milk, butter and jam in the fridge. Tea, coffee, sugar all there. Literally walk in and a cup of tea. Perfect all round. Very pleasant stay and local to Goodwood and Chichester.

A gorgeous little spot to enjoy the peace and calm and incredible countryside views. Very cosy with everything we could possibly need, and the lovely Caroline couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful!

I had a lovely short break together with my 12 year old son at Guido’s property. The property is very spacious, bright, quiet, well equipped and safe. We both slept really well and were very comfortable. The property is ideally situated for lots of activities such as walks on the beach, tennis courts, parks, Natural History Museum, the historic dockyard etc. It is very close to local shops, cafes and restaurants. The bus stop is a three minute walk away, with a very regular service providing cheap easy access to Portsmouth and the other areas of Southsea. All my dealings with Guido were 5* and he was very friendly, patient and helpful. This is the perfect spot and home to explore Southsea with children or just to enjoy a beach trip. We enjoyed a very happy few days here. Thank you Guido for having us.

The perfect house for a family gathering - 9 adults and 2 dogs. Spacious, clean, well-equipped house with lots of indoor and outdoor games, room for 9 of us to dine easily, well-equipped kitchen, 2 comfortable sitting rooms, separate annexe with lots of things to do and gym equipment. Beds all very comfortable. The highlight for us on a beautiful sunny weekend was the garden - large grassy area for games and play, mature flowerbeds, 2 large tables, shed full of garden toys. There was also a bbq area and children's outdoor equipment. Jo responded quickly to any messages, but her clear instructions and detailed information meant there were very few questions. She also gave many ideas for walks, restaurants etc.

Miranda's cottage is very well situated and set up for doing as we did - enjoying the local area, taking advantage of hot summer days by the pool, and walking in the woods with kids. Highly recommended for families of 4 or even more if you're prepared to really use the space. My kids were very happy sleeping in the twin beds, and we were able to use every inch of the place.

Great location for a family break. Entertainment passes included. Kids will love the robots delivering food in the restaurant. Didnt try out the pool this time but looked great. Loved how close we were to the beach beautiful day and night, with stunning sunsets. Also enjoyed a walk around the nature reserve. Great base for getting out on our bikes. We absolutely love the new forest and this was a great base for a short stay. We'd happily stay for longer.

The apartment was fabulous! Well located, clean throughout and everything you need for a home from home experience. Laura was a fantastic host, very responsive and made checking in very straightforward and simple. Thank you for a lovely stay 😊

Wow wow wow!!! This property definitely has the wow factor. The views, setting and location are fabulous. You could never tire of looking across the grounds, pool and the creek. The property had everything we needed and perfect for a family with children. A few minor maintenance issues but nothing worth mentioning.

My family and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at The Oaks and we all wished we could have stayed longer. The house is well equipped, clean and tidy. There was plenty of room for 7 adults and 1 infant. The bedrooms were comfortable with fresh linen. I particularly booked this accommodation for the outside pool and this didn't disappoint. A perfect size pool for us and we enjoyed sitting around the garden and pool area. Beautiful Sobo beach is walking distance from the house and there are many good places to eat and drink nearby. We enjoyed a birthday celebration lunch at The Captains club restaurant which we would highly recommend, great food and attentive staff. A big thank you to Maggie And Peter for a great airbnb property.

We stayed here for just over a week with our three children -everything was clean and tidy when we arrived and it was a nice place to use as a base for going to the beach/Hengistbury Head. Lovely holiday!

We absolutely loved our stay. The caravan was gorgeous, clean, and in a great location to watch the sea and squirrels. We did not want to leave, a perfect cozy home by the sea.
