Barn vacation rentals in Hampshire

This really is an idyllic spot. While attached to the owners house, it feels private. The barn itself is very tastefully done and was a larger space than I’d anticipated. The garden area with seating is pretty and our dog enjoyed herself exploring away. It’s off the beaten track in a very picturesque spot ideal for great walking. The owners (who we briefly met & who were helpful & polite) have been upfront about the state of the road leading to the property. In reality, it’s only the hill part of this which is ‘testy’ if you don’t have an SUV/4WD (& we don’t). We decided from day 2 to park the car in Houghton - if you come out of the property, turn right, it’s a 2 minute walk to Houghton. Very close to the start of this public path in Houghton on the main road is public off road parking for a couple of cars. This worked for us but obviously it’s public parking and you can’t guarantee a space & it’s at the owners risk. All in, we had a lovely couple of days - thank you!

Natasha was very responsive and flexible, friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was lovely and clean and very comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay. The host was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful, happy to answer all our questions about the local area. The property is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, serene, and ideal for a relaxing countryside break. The grounds are lovely, the furnishings are stylish and comfortable, and the bed linen and towels were excellent. If I could suggest one small improvement, it would be the addition of a basic welcome package. The nearest shops are a bit of a drive, so arriving to find essentials like milk, bread, and a more generous supply of tea (only six bags were left) would be a thoughtful touch. The host did mention not everyone wants these things and kindly offered us milk upon arrival, but having them ready would really enhance the experience, especially given the overall quality and price point. That said, we had a fantastic time and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful and comfortable countryside retreat.

The home is beautiful, exactly as pictured, in excellent condition and perfectly clean. The location is picturesque and quite private. Hermione is an excellent host and was extremely helpful during our stay, providing recommendations for food, things to see and do as well as support for any issues we had. We would absolutely stay here again, it was an exemplary experience!

A wonderful stay in Alresford. We felt right at home and enjoyed the interiors and location. We will definitely be booking again.

Liz and her husband were kind and responsive to all our needs. They have a relaxing and wonderful barn and a beautiful garden. A true haven. We will be back.

Debbie communicated extremely well from the moment the booking was made through to the day we checked out. I got the impression that we could reach out to her for anything should we need to, but everything was so smooth that we did not need to. location is gorgeous and the accommodation is beautiful and well situated. Would wholeheartedly recommend The Old Tractorn Barn to anyone considering a stay in the area.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Beautiful home - as per the photos and listing. It was obvious that a lot of thought and care had gone into the set-up. Everything in the home is high-end with gorgeous beds bedding. Lots of local info provided which makes us want to return to explore more! Dog-friendly and well set-up. A great base for a few days of local commitments. Would highly recommend.

We had such a lovely weekend at Helen’s place. Some lovely walks with our dog and such a peaceful beautiful location. Helen could not have been more helpful . I can definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.!

We had a lovely stay at this barn conversion – it was clean, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The location was perfect for our trip to Paultons Park, just a short drive away, which made things so convenient. A great base for families or anyone visiting the area. Would definitely recommend!

The clever architectural design has created a stunning barn conversion. This is complimented by the carefully chosen fixtures and fittings and the warm but understated colour palette. The kitchen dining lounge space has some quirky and rustic touches and is a lovely room in which to gather. There were some very thoughtful welcome gifts left for us and everything you need is provided for cooking and eating. The 3 en-suite bedrooms are all fabulous and the kids twin was accessed by a ladder, with its own shower room below. This end of the barn can be closed off for some privacy and has its own kitchenette, sofa and TV. The barn is warm and quiet and private even though the main farmhouse is right next door. The hosts are unobtrusive but there if you need anything. Our party of 6 adults, 2 young boys and a baby worked well in the space. We loved West Wittering Beach, the Itchenor Ferry and walk to Bosham and pottering around Chichester. The barn was so lovely that it was hard to leave!

Wow, such a lovely location, very peaceful and the perfect place to relax and recharge. The Hayloft had everything we needed. The welcome hamper, fresh flowers, milk in the fridge and fresh eggs from their rescue chickens was so thoughtful. Lovely comfy bed and amazing views onto the horses in the fields. Such an amazing place to stay. So much thought has gone into this unique design and the luxury of an having an ensuite per bedroom was just perfect. The perfect space to spend with friends. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, we wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend. Thank you for having us!

Don’t hesitate, just book and enjoy. Can NOT recommend highly enough. Safe for a kitchen, these cabins have everything we needed for a little getaway in a peaceful environment. It was one of the best experiences ever!

an amazing barn stay. Very peaceful and relaxing. Super kitchen as we love to cook. Very modern place and I downloaded an app to turn on/off lights. Lots of room, comfy bed and fantastic en suite. Lovely outside seating in private garden and a bbq if needed. Extremely small village which only has a pub but it's only 5 minutes walk. This is a place for people who love a relaxing tranquil stay. Would definitely recommend.

You must visit. Sarah and James are so nice and really helpful fro. The moment i booked. I cant wait to return, the barn is located so closely to the beach and other surrounding areas. We relaxed and even had time to try out some paddle boarding thanks to the kindness of James lending us his. Thank you so so much for having us. See you agai soon

Our stay was perfect in every way. Bobby was very welcoming and the property is stunning. Everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen has everything you require. The outdoor space is huge and beautiful- loved exploring the woods and feeding the fish. There are so many toys/games for both inside and outside to keep children entertained. We loved our stay.

Returning guests. We loved Ugochi’s place so much the first time it was a no brainer to return for a second time. Beautiful accommodation. Lots to do with our two grandchildren as you are within easy reach of many places. Will definitely go back again in the very near future.

Strides Barn was a lovely place to stay. Lots of amenities and plenty of board games to keep everyone entertained. Only slight downside was it was very hot inside the cabin and we did not seem to have any control over it.. Other than that it was lovely. Good views, plentiful wildlife and lots of areas to explore a short car drive away.

A stunning home from home. Gorgeous countryside all around and a lovely enclosed private garden. The barn is beautifully decorated, with really personal touches. Breakfast and essentials provided. Comfortable and just a total delight. Anna was helpful, responsive and courteous at all times. Cannot recommend highly enough.

A beautiful village and ideal location for exploring West Sussex. The cottage has everything you need to make it feel like home. Would love to come back.

A lovely place to stay for a few nights. We really enjoyed the hot tub in the afternoons whilst looking at the donkeys and goats!
