Vacation rentals with beach access in Friesland

We really had a wonderful relaxing weekend with Anne and Paul. Incredibly friendly welcome, beautiful accommodation and especially wonderful beds. Really a weekend to relax and unwind. We had bad luck because the bike rental was unexpectedly closed but we were allowed to borrow the bikes from Anne and Paul for 2 days, super nice. You can make beautiful trips to the beach, or to Bolsward or Harlingen. I can recommend it to everyone.

We had a wonderful week in Liz and Alex's apartment. If you love peace and nature, this is the place to be. The apartment is ideal for two people. In addition, you can use sun loungers and benches in the garden. By bike, you can easily reach all the places on the island. In the neighboring village of Osterend there is also a supermarket. You can take a nice walk right by the sea from the apartment, the dike can be reached in 5 minutes. Liz and Alex are very attentive and lovely hosts. The apartment is fully and very functionally furnished. For value for money, we only give 4 stars. Actually, it's a bit too expensive for April. But that's the way it is on the island.

What a nice stay we had! Super friendly people. Beautiful place and very central location. We were with 2 young children and this was very easy to do! Certainly subject to repetition! Who knows, maybe next year!😉

Jan-Warner's apartment in one word: great! A bright, light-flooded, tasteful, modern, furnished apartment. Of course, everything was clean and functional. For example, we have never found such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation apartment. The whole apartment is furnished with a sense of detail. But the location surpasses everything! Right on the Sneeker Meer, on the corner of Princess Margret Canal and Starter Eiland. And in the apartment or on the terrace, an unobstructed view of the colorful hustle and bustle of the sailing and motor boats, as well as the commercial shipping. Even in bad weather, it was never boring with this view. Beautiful tours through the Frisian villages and lakes are possible by bike in the immediate vicinity. Sneek itself is just 15-20 minutes by bike.

Great books available, inspiring. And the music choice is also interesting and original. The house has everything you need, well maintained, but also not superfluous or confusing. Atmospherically decorated, candles and beautiful light. It is as neat as if it were a private household. We are fans of the island cottage!

Great place to stay, nice beds and furniture, fully equipped kitchen. Jan was very helpful and responsive. Only thing to take into account is payed parking in Harlingen (€10 for a day pass on nearby parking lot)

What a wonderful stay! For the second time we have enjoyed this beautiful and cozy cottage. Everything you need is present – from a well-equipped kitchen to comfortable beds on which you sleep wonderfully. The cottage is neatly clean and really radiates warmth and coziness. Located in a charming and cozy street, it immediately feels like coming home. The host is friendly and helpful, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. Absolutely recommended – we would love to come back!

What a great location on Texel in the beautiful village of Oudeschild. Moderately centrally located, so you are everywhere within 15 min. The cottage was very complete, everything has been thought of. Unfortunately, Agnes herself was on vacation with her family, so we were not able to meet in person, but the communication went very well all week, also from Agnes it was regularly asked how everything went here, very nice!

Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay in the beautiful house of George and Irene was simply wonderful! Three generations have found the perfect place to stay. The house is comfortably furnished and offers a quiet location, yet close to the beach and shops. We were particularly impressed by the breakfast on the terrace, where we were surrounded by breathtaking nature and could watch many geese, rabbits and other animals. Our stay was wonderful! The accommodation was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. The host was excellent in communication—friendly, quick and helpful. The location was also perfect: a quiet area, ideal for relaxing, but at the same time plenty to do nearby. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a carefree and pleasant stay!

What a wonderful place! The house is spacious and light. Nice living room with spacious dining table. We enjoyed the sunny terrace on the waterfront. Everything in the house is available for a comfortable stay. Nothing was missing. Dishwasher blocks, towels, made beds, coffee cups, everything was there. Children could subboard from home (sub brought by themselves). We rented a sloop in the area. We will definitely come back!

We enjoyed the time very much and did many small bike rides. The accommodation is beautiful, quiet and very idyllically located. However, we would not stay in the property again with 5 adults. The loft bed is more suitable for children and unfortunately we were not able to sleep so well, as there was no air coming up under the roof at night (despite the open window) and it became very warm and stuffy. With children, you can definitely recommend the accommodation! :)

Had a great time. We had beautiful weather, but the hot tub was still nice, especially for the kids. Close to the water and a lot to do nearby for those looking for.

Stan and Nicole's place was everything we expected from it. A cozy living room and nice kitchen. Wonderful bedrooms with soft beds. Plenty of room for our entire family with two big sons. The garden is deep and quiet with a beautiful lawn, very private. The house is just at the end of the village so everything is easy to walk and yet quiet. You are walking and by bike in no time on the beach or the rest of the island. Stan and Nicole respond super quickly and give a clear and friendly answer. Don't miss the fish case around the corner which is excellent and the bike rental case within a minute's walk is definitely the best to use We will definitely be back.

There were two of us for 4 nights in the accommodation, which belongs to a larger complex. Communication with the owner was straightforward and friendly. Everything necessary was available on site, coffee, tea, etc. was ready for the first day. Thank you! We were able to rent bikes directly in the building and explore the area. All in all, our vacation was very relaxing. We liked the place and Ameland very much!

Stay is in a good location to the city center of Leeuwarden. Museums, restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Well cared for stay. Good communication. Nice detail: the photo wall with what the street used to look like. Tip: the Miniature People hiking trail!

Renske's home is nestled in the last village of the island, and a moment's walk into the dunes. So it was perfect for us who were searching for peace, quiet, and nature. The kitchen was spacious with great amenities, and the bedrooms were soo cozy! It was a bit challenging to find her home. It's amidst several other homes/doors. There was no sign, whether with a name or number, on an outside wall like other cottages/doors did. So we asked neighbours who were out and about if they could help us find the correct cottage, which we did. Renske was super supportive with my questions with prompt responses, I really appreciated her warmth. Thank you for having us Renske!

The hosts Gjis and Sophie were very sweet. If we had any questions, they were immediately available and the location was great. Free parking was right outside the door and also a Spar right next door. The beach was a few minutes' walk away. In the immediate vicinity were also restaurants. Quick access to the highway. The apartment left nothing to be desired in terms of amenities and was lovingly furnished. It was also great that you could connect your smartphone or similar multimedia devices directly to the TV. All in all a nice place and we would definitely come back! Julia and Tommy

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Stavoren. Sietske & Henk's apartment is just beautiful and exactly as it appears in the photos. Clearly a lot of thought was put into this apartment. It was very clean, tastefully decorated and had everything you could ask for. The location was also amazing. Close to the station and bars/restaurants but also quiet and private. I had the pleasure of meeting Sietske several times and also shared a drink. She is a very warm and welcoming host. I would definitely stay here again when I'm next in Stavoren. 🥰

We (3 sisters) enjoyed the nice, friendly welcome, clean cottage with nice beds. We were allowed to park the car on the premises for a few days while we cycled the 11 city tours. Which was a reassuring thought for us.

We had a great time. On the weekend, it was sometimes very loud because many tuners met in the parking lot opposite. During the week it was super quiet and we will be happy to come back

We were received in a very friendly manner and felt right at home. The apartment is well equipped and above all we loved the large terrace. The view is simply a dream!!! We would come back anytime. Thank you for everything.
