Family-friendly vacation rentals in Forestville

Photos did not do this place justice. The deck was such a nice surprise with so many small moments & touches tucked away to discover. As for the place itself, pitch perfect for a family and absolutely the most fully stocked kitchen I've ever encountered in an airbnb rental. I had absolutely zero reason to interact with the host because their directions were so clear, helpful, and concise! After experiencing a string of extremely disappointing rentals, this location was a perfect reminder of airbnb at it's best. Will definitely put this on the short list for return visits!

We had a wonderful stay with our pups! They had plenty of room to run around the fenced in yard. We walked to the nice beach along the river. The hot tub was the perfect place to unwind after a day at the river. The beds were super comfy and the shower was hot. We highly recommend Hilda’s beautiful home and would love to stay again!!!

The view looking out into the woods and river from the living room is absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in late April and it was a bit rainy so it wasn’t feasible to enjoy the river, but the location more than made up for it. The proximity to Armstrong Redwoods, Jenner, and several charming nearby towns made for a perfect mix of hiking, beach walks, and exploring local spots.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! The hosts, Lynn and John, were friendly and welcoming. We brought our baby and they left out a booster seat, child plates/bowls, toys, and made up the crib for him! We were able to do a barrel tasting, which was fantastic! We loved the hot tub and the garden. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the corn hole and fire pit! Will have to come back!

Patricia's beautiful beach house exceeded our expectations and more! The panoramic ocean views and wrap around deck made us feel like we were floating on the ocean. The home was really well equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the hot tub and playing some games that were available for us to use. We could easily walk to Dillon Beach from the house to enjoy the sunshine. The home was very clean and cozy and Patricia was very kind and responsive. Highly recommend for a family beach vacation.

Loved every moment of our stay here! It was myself, my partner, our dog and 2 kids, the outside bath was magical and the well appointed nature of every aspect of the stay totally exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay here again!

We had such a great time! The home was beautiful and we felt comfortable and at home. Instructions were fabulous and Jaysa was extremely friendly and accommodating. The river was great, however, we will wait next time for the dam to be released. Still had a lot of fun in the water and enjoyed ourselves immensely! Just a wonderful time and would love to go back!

In a word - delightful! We very much enjoyed the back deck and patio with morning and afternoon sun, a relaxing yard with views of the river, osprey, swallows and even deer. The kitchen was very well equipped with high quality appliances/utensils/cookware/dishware etc for easy mealmaking. Playing records from Adam's collection was memorable & reminiscent. The beds were very comfortable - especially nice with french doors looking out to the back yard and riverscape. The location is easy distance from Monte Rio, Jenner and Guerneville, paddleboarding, beaching, hiking nearby plus nice to walk our dog Lexie in the extended neighborhood. Adam was a great host. We highly recommend Adam's delightful cottage retreat, and look forward to future stays!

We had a wonderful stay at David's TreeHouse Cabin! The redwoods surrounding it set the perfect backdrop for a morning on the front deck or a night on the back patio stargazing. The floor-to-ceiling windows and skylight really make you feel up in the trees, and we really loved cozying up by the wood fireplace in the evenings. Bathroom is small but gets the job done. Relaxing and a perfect retreat!

We loved staying at Bobby's place in Santa Rosa! The description and photos were accurate, and everything went smoothly while staying there.

My family really enjoyed the uniqueness of the home. Driving into the neighborhood during the summer night was a great experience. Host communicated well and the place itself had everything my family needed. The neighborhood is basically built into the hillside but there was adequate parking for 4 cars.

Virginia and Rita’s place was absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect sanctuary for our stay in Napa with our family. Our baby and dog loved the backyard!

We stayed at Erin's wine country cottage for a few days as our "home base" while in town for the Food & Wine Event. Their studio unit cottage was cozy, and welcoming. We ate out and didn't use kitchenette beyond making coffee, but I noticed that it looked well stocked! The bed was comfy, which made for good sleep at night. The cottage location is great as it's close to the freeway yet still in a quiet, rural setting next to a vineyard, and just about a mile or so from downtown (we walked to town every day). Erin (& Tom) are both exceptional hosts. They're friendly, helpful, and have great recommendations for restaurants & wineries. Can't forget Hurley the lab... he's super friendly too!

I had the very BEST stay at Mark's place! Everything about the stay was magical - the cottage was quaint and lovely, surrounded by redwoods. Mark's hospitality was of the very best I have seen...he was so kind, helpful and caring and lovely to talk with during the stay. He cares so much and wants to make sure his guests have the best experience. And wow the baked goods are incredible! This was the best mini retreat I could have imagined..I will definitely be back!

I went there with two of my kids when my wife and oldest was out of town. We want to go back when they’re in town. The only downside was both kids got bitten up by bugs. Next time I’ll bring more repellent

I have stayed at this lovely home before. It is such a treat to have a large deck with beautiful backyard. It made for a peaceful stay. Blake is proactive and kind. We wanted to stay on this end of town because we were attending an event. It’s a quick drive into all the Healdsburg has to offer. A lovely stay overall.

We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Maurine and the hosts of this AirBNB! This house is truly a gem and exceeded our expectations! We loved everything about this property- from the comfortable, homey setting to the beautiful landscaping and outdoor spaces. Directions and communication were clear and guest friendly. On behalf of the 5 of us, on our girls' getaway, we thank you all wholeheartedly and are already planning on returning next April! Thank you for sharing this truly special home with us. It was a perfect 5 star get-away from beginning to end!

If you're looking for a quiet place to unwind and relax, we HIGHLY recommend Barrel Lounge. Whether you want to chill in the hot tub, lay in the pool, or lounge on the deck while grillin' out, this place has it all. Beyond the amenities, the hosts, Kathy and Jim are incredible. They were very accommodating, providing everything we could have needed. They are two of the most kind-hearted people. Every interaction with them was a delight. Top notch experience: 1000/100 as our son would say. Many thanks to Kathy and Jim for making our honeymoon one that we'll never forget.

Eliza's place was wonderful for us (two parents and a 4 month old baby) for a weekend - we had everything we needed and it was incredibly easy to check in and out. Eliza and her family were there and great to spend time with, but we also felt we had space to ourselves to rest and relax. We will hopefully be back!

We came a second time to Fred’s river home oasis. Our kids love the grounds and the stream is so peaceful. Pool is delightfully warm and with a Forest view. Come here for a nature escape. We will be back!

I almost don't want to tell you how good this place is, so we can rent it again sometime. :-) But it's that good. We visited over spring break with our daughters, eight and 11, and had one of the most amazing stays we've ever had at an Airbnb. The home, the land, the pool, and the local area are all 100% amazing. And the sunsets. You know how you sometimes stay at Airbnb's where you feel like the hosts did the bare minimum to qualify to list it? This is *not* that place. There is everything you need and more. 10/10 I stayed here with my girlfriend and my dog and it was really peaceful and had a great time,the pool and jacuzzi was amazing and the house was really clean🙌🏽😄

I loved this place. It was beautifully decorated and had amazing views. The pool was an added benefit on hot days! It’s somewhat small for a group because it only has one bedroom but still worth the experience.

I’ve been eyeing Cena and Roger’s place for well over a year and had tried to book another time when it wasn’t available. This year I finally was able to stay and I honestly didn’t want to leave. What a special, unbelievably delightful stay it was. I’m a huge nature nerd and the amount of flowers and greenery made it feel like Hawaii. Tropical paradise. Complete with birds and lizards flirting about. This trip I was in town mostly for Bottlerock but I ended up just lounging around most of my mornings, reading and slowly getting ready for the day. It was hard to leave to go out every day because the property is that peaceful and beautiful. I am so thankful I got to enjoy this stunning space and cannot wait to hopefully stay there again. Roger and Cena are lovely, sweet people. They’ve made this their own little slice of heaven, which they so graciously share with others. Fabulous experience. Thank you!
